Booked an appointment over the phone for two for a pedicure and was assured the appointment time was confirmed. walked in and they didn't honor the appointment - claiming that we never made the reservation. They also didn't offer to accommodate us at another time that day or didn't offer another date. Extremely rude, tiny shop - won't return and don't recommend. read more

I have never been so disgusted in my life. I took my daughter here for a mani/pedi and the place was not clean. They don't individually sanitize their tools, they soak them in barbasol or some other disinfectant. When I sat down to have my manicure I looked down and the towel under my hands had nail clippings on it. I was polite and simply folded it up and asked for a fresh cloth. As my nails were being painted I happened to glance at the glass container holding the tools and was HORRIFIED to see an inch of nail clippings sitting at the bottom of the liqued. I will never, ever go back. My nails also look like garbage. My nails were done Friday and pic is from Monday (they are gel). read more

The service I asked for was above and beyond. I am a person riddled with anxiety, so I do a lot of picking of my nails, both hand and feet. She was so understanding and pass no judgment. Even though her and another coworker were the only two in the shop that day because everybody else is on vacation. Making an appointment was easy and I didn't have a wait once I arrived. They had me wash my hands and take a seat for my gel manicure. The gentleman who did my pedicure completed each step as you'd expect. The problems began with the cuticle removal. He would clip and rip - literally grabbing my cuticle with the device and ripping off sections of my cuticle. He did layers, getting to the quick, and causing pain and bleeding. He also snipped skin off the very tips of my fingers, leaving them raw. I told him he was hurting me after I stupidly endured all I could and after two fingers were bleeding and others were cut. The day after my fingers that were cut burn and are sore and a few of my other cuticle beds are hurting. I applied neosporin and bandaids. I feel like a dummy for letting him even continue. The salon reuses emery boards and buffing blocks as well as pedicure buffers pomace blocks. They do follow Covid protocol though. I want so badly to support this business but I won't go back. I've been a few other times with other issues that aren't relevant to this post hence me finally leaving a review. I have been coming to this place for the last four years. Jack usually does the work, but as of late it has been someone else. Today I walked in and Helen reluctantly decided to do my gel manicure. I am not exaggerating when I say she spoke to me a total of three times the entire time I was there. First she asked me to wash my hands. Then she asked if I had gel on my nails already and then asked me to confirm the color I had chosen. Yep. that's it. I have not only been a loyal customer to Helen and Jack, but I always leave big tips, especially since COVID hit. Helen has always been unfriendly towards me, and I have no idea why. But Jack was always very friendly. Not today. They do good work here so don't get me wrong...and I don't go to salons to make friends. But I also don't do business with people who are rude and dismissive like this. There are plenty of places to chose from. read more

I was hopeful from the positive reviews, but my experience was mixed with a capital X. The overall mood at the salon was dark and quiet, though it was late in the day. It could use a thorough cleaning, especially at work stations. The gel mani lasted only three days before significant breakdown, which I noticed the gel had not been applied well, as there were bubbles and some streaking. I asked to come back in to have it fixed and was given a fresh gel mani. It was much better. But my overall experience was unpleasant. I won't be returning. read more

I enjoyed my manicure while receiving it, however, gel polish that is supposed to last 14 days barley lasted 3. I got my manicure on a Monday and it was chipping (which it isn't supposed to do) on Wednesday. A week later and my nails look horrible. I wouldn't recommend or return. Waste of money. read more

The pedicure chairs are awesome. This is the only place I keep going back to to get my nails done. Came in for a mani pedi and wax. pedicure and wax went well then the manicure... I asked for sns gel which is what I always get if I'm not getting fake tips. Nail tech clearly didn't know how to do it properly so I paid, left with nails that looked like i had done the "100 coats of polish challenge" and was promised a do over the next day. Next day I come in and she wants to do regular gel but I paid for sns. So I gave her 8$ out of courtesy I spent 115( a little more then usual but I was never shown a service menu so who knows) and usually tip 20%. Current gel manicure is already chipping and its only been less then four days b/c my natural nails are too weak that's why I pay for SNS. Like I say if you don't know what you're doing just say so I could've shown her how to do it but I was paying her to already know what she was doing. Also I don't know what the law is in Virginia but I'm from Florida and OSHA requires you to have your license and photo on display (didn't see one) Also nail tools should be in barbicide at every station I did see two jars empty since nail tools were resting in what I guess was soap and water dishes.
