I personally listened in on the phone call while the Mission Viejo store called and confirmed that the piece of jewelry was in stock here. I drove an hour in traffic to pick it up only to be handed the wrong item. The lady behind the counter didn't bother to mention until I called her out that it wasn't the item I had paid for. Her response, oh I was too busy to confirm it was the exact same one but this is very similar. The item they attempted to pass off was a lower quality piece that sells for less than what I had paid for the other. VERY SHADY STAFF. They should have called me at least once they found out they did not in fact have the correct piece or just checked their stock properly when originally called!!!! No apologies from the windbag behind the counter. Left the store and got a refund from the other location. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE. read more

I have been here multiple times. The first was to repair a cheap, but sentimental bracelet for my wife that had a stone fall out. They understood it was sentimental and took care of it for a very low price, cleaning it up. Since then, I bought a new wedding band for my wife. The one I wanted needed to be ordered. They got it resized next day so that she would have it, and were able to rebuild her old wedding band to wear as a backup, when the new one is being checked every few months. The other band was my wifes old ring that broke, that I never like, that we got from The Jewelry Exchange. She loved it but my OCD could not care for any of the work that company did. The setting its self was crooked, one if the little diamond stands later broke, losing one of the diamonds. This was my first visit to Gemma's. When I entered the front doors, I was promptly greeted by Amy. After talking to Amy for just a few moments, I observed that she was quite intelligent and had a great knowledge of jewelry very well. The store is very clean and well lit. They have a huge selection of fine diamond jewelry as well as other precious gemstones. They appeared to have a nice selection of Citizen watches as well as a few other brands. I imagine they could obtain just about any brand for you if you were in the market for a fine watch. I took my wife's wedding ring in for a deep cleaning, and to have the white gold touched up, electrostatically. I also had another minor repair, to an older classic Casio G-Shock (circa 1990). The watch repair only took a couple of seconds, and the ring took about 30 minutes. They have a jeweler there on the premises, Thursday through the weekend. The ring is of high value and I wanted to be able to wait for the work to be done, Not that I did not trust the jeweler, but through other experiences I have had bad outcomes. I couldn't believe how quickly the work was done, the quality of the work and how brilliant they were able to make the ring look. Better than new again. I browsed for a few here on Yelp and Gemma's Jewelers caught my attention with 5 Stars. I went on a Saturday since they have a jeweler on site and I was immediately greeted with a welcoming smile from everyone on site. I was looking for a new setting for my diamond. I was immediately introduced to their custom jeweler specialists Amy and I explained what I am looking for. She showed me all the different settings and I found exactly what I was looking for in a bezel setting on a comfort fit band. She examined my diamond and she found a small chip on the side and informed me that they are able to custom fit the setting to cover the ship and avoid further damage. I was heart broken because the diamond belonged to my husband's great grandma. Amy was very reassuring and I felt comfortable enough and trusting to leave my ring for the custom setting. 3 weeks later I was very pleased with how my new setting turned out! It was beautiful and you would never know there was a chip on my diamond. I even got a complimentary appraisal for my diamond. If you are looking for a great jeweler you can trust. Brought two of my Gucci watches in to have the batteries replaced. The lady asked if I would like my wedding ring cleaned. I was reluctant but agreed. To make a long story short I was at work and noticed I lost a diamond the next day. Called explained what happened and told them I was bringing it in so they can fix it. Well this was 3 weeks ago. It was suppose to be ready last Thursday but instead I received a text saying it would be ready till this Wednesday smh. I called and asked to speak to manager or owner they gave me margarita"s phone number at their rancho location. She was very nice but yet she said my ring wouldn't be ready till oct 8. I'm furious about this whole situation. They did offer me a 120day warrant but I feel like that's not long enough. I'm going to be paranoid walking around after that wondering if I lose another diamond smh. read more

Quality is good communication skills are not. Went into the store May 24 to get information I need to know before purchasing. I was told two weeks and they could add engraving for an additional cost. I ordered my ring on June 3rd mentioning that I wanted it for an anniversary at the end of the month, the woman had acknowledged and said that it shouldn't be a problem. I called on the 23rd for an update, mentioned that it was three weeks and haven't heard from them, the lady I spoke to said that they were waiting for the ring to show up and they had to engrave it and that's why it was taking extra time, how I should know that?, and I should hear something around Monday or Tuesday. I called again today, june 30th, to receive an update and the gentleman I spoke to said they haven't received the ring and that I should hear something this coming Monday or Tuesday, july 4/5th, I asked about engraving and apparently it's already done... I understand they're not in control of shipping but they could do better in communicating with customers. This is the second same experience. The first item ordered took a week and a half longer than anticipated and when called to ask if it was ready they said "it's here waiting for pick up" as of once again I was supposed to know that. I've had a family jeweler for years... But when we move to Eastvale it just wasn't geographically sound to keep him. I discovered Gemma's Jewelers in Eastvale. Last Christmas, we purchased an eternity ring to go with my wedding band and couldn't be happier... It was the perfect Christmas gift. 11 months later I finally came in to get it soldered together. They remembered me!! The jeweler was there and was able to solder it together while I shopped. All of their staff is always friendly and not pushy. They smile and are very welcoming.
