Do not go here for custom jewelry! Sam and his team made an engagement ring for me that was completely wrong. The band was not what I asked for, all the diamonds were different shades, and two were loose. I requested they fix the errors and was charged more money. After 2 months and 8 visits, it was still different diamond colors and setting was now bent. San told me, "It's a custom ring, it's not going to be perfect". That should be their slogan... finally I asked for a refund because the ring was hopeless. Sam said he would sell it on consignment and give me the proceeds after a 10% commission was paid to him. Yup. He wanted me to pay him commission to sell the distressed ring he sold me... I said no. After back and forth he gave me a refund of $1,000 less than I paid for "materials and labor". Sam messed up my ring and I still paid him $1,000? Crooked. Will never go back there. read more

Went in this past weekend with my future fiance on the recommendation of some good friends of ours. We were in the market for a setting for her engagement ring. We only needed the setting because we already had a diamond for the ring. Isabel helped us out and she really couldn't have been any better. She wasn't aggressive and was sure to make all our options known to us. My girlfriend and I aren't really in the know when it comes to the diamond game, and Isabel caught on to that and educated us a bit. My girlfriend decided on a setting and now we wait two weeks for them to craft it before we go back to get the diamond set. Since they aren't a huge chain, the spot itself may not be as nice as a Robbins Brothers, Jared, Tiffany's, or something of that sort. However, my girlfriend has recently visited some of the bigger name stores and felt she got more of a personal touch from Ontario Jewelry Mart; that they really wanted her to find exactly what she was looking for rather than pushing her for the sale. I showed up around 11:15am and the doors were still locked but the open sign was on. This is one of the best jewelry stores I have ever been to. My fiancé and I wanted to change the setting for my solitaire and we met with Sam. He was amazing from the beginning to the end. He right away went over what prices we had in mind and what style I preferred and we found a setting that I could not love more. My ring was ready in one hour and the process was an hour and a half from start to finish. This review is for the small repair shop located inside the jewelry mart. The gentlemen has a very small shop tucked away inside the mart, this guy is a master craftsman. My wife had a few prongs missing on her wedding band, the diamond was barely attached. we took her ring to several well known name brand stores with crazy repair quotes and the ring would have to be sent out for several weeks. This guy gave us a fair repair quote, told us exactly the repairs that were needed to secure her stone in place and how he would do it. He performed the repairs onsite and requested that one of us remain there while he performed the repairs. That way we could see that he did not try and remove the diamond and switch it out with another one. He also requests cash only. If you have any jewelry in need of repairs I highly suggest taking it to this repair shop. read more

I really enjoyed coming here. It's nice to have a selection of booths in order to make a quality decision. I needed a gift for my best friend and ended up finding a great price on .50ct studs. While I can't attest to this shop's product, I had an experience here that spurred me to write this review. My fiance and I were out shopping for a wedding band. We arrived to this location at 5:00 pm, their hours indicate they are open until 7pm. We walked in the door and were not 3 steps inside before a gentleman walked up and said "We're closed". I was taken aback considering we were just welcomed inside by the security guard. A girl behind the counter asked what we were there for...as if this would affect whether they stay open or not. We had already been to 3 other jewelry stores before that, and ending my search for the perfect wedding band for the day with this negative experience really left a bad taste in my mouth. Picking out a wedding ring should be a happy experience, no? Well I wouldn't return here based on my brief encounter if they were giving away diamonds. read more

I bought a Beautiful CZ ring on SS. Pricey, $77 but looks real. I went to the second booth to the left for no particular reason except for feeling welcomed by her, so that's where I found my ring. I've seen cheaper CZ on SS at department stores, but she assured me the quality was better and also advised me not to wash it. read more

My fiancé bought my engagement ring from here a little over a year ago, in March of 2017. Each jewelry counter here is owned by different people. When he walked into the building, most of the other jewelers ignored him. However, there was one jeweler who greeted him, I believe his name was Sam. He and his wife run the jewelry counter (and actually own the building and rent out the other 4 or 5 jewelry counters to different jewelers) and they were sooo amazing. I wanted a rose gold ring, with a pear shaped diamond and a single halo. They didn't have that setting, so they told my fiancé to come back in a couple days and they'd have some settings made for him to choose from. My fiancé came back and they had 3 settings for him to pick from. Sam also suggested 2 different diamonds for the settings, one was 1.1 karats, the other one was .93 karats. The price jumps dramatically once you go over a karat. Sam was great because he didn't try to upsell my fiancé. He actually encouraged my fiancé to go for the slightly smaller stone because it looked the exact same as the bigger one but was less expensive. It was also a good quality stone. Once my fiancé chose the setting and the stone, they took a day or two to get it all ready for him to pick it up. They were so kind through the entire process, they stayed in contact with him thru all of it, gave great suggestions, and most importantly, they were not trying to just get money out of him. They genuinely wanted to help and make sure that my fiancé was happy with the ring and the price. They even sent us a Christmas card! Later in the year, I lost a small stone around the halo. They replaced it free of charge and had the ring ready and waiting for me the next day. You can tell this couple is passionate about what they do! They aren't like your average joes who work at Kay Jewelers. He knows his stuff and he was very upfront with my fiancé, no car salesman-like tactics. And the ring is BEAUTIFUL. It's exactly what I wanted and what I showed my fiancé I wanted. I couldn't be happier! read more
