So happy we found Gen! My wife and I took a 3 week trip out of the country in July, and for us finding someone who would care for Patches the way we do was the most important part of planning the trip. Not only has he never spent a night without us, we both work from home so he's rarely even without at least one of us and is very attached, so needless to say we felt bad and were worried about the potential negative effects being gone for so long might have on him. I tend to do a lot of research before doing anything and this was no different, so after eliminating numerous other sitters and boarding facilities we chose Gen. She's licensed, insured, first aid and CPR trained, continually educating herself, provides a clean and safe environment, follows your care instructions, and even has 2 qualified backup sitters in case of an emergency if something were to happen to her while she was caring for your pet. You can tell she loves what she does and she runs her business like a business, not just some side hustle. Emma had her first appointment with Gen and we are so glad to have found her. Our girl is 14 years old and has some pain in her hips. Gen was so gentle and accommodating. She had a sling to help Emma through the grooming without pain. She sent photos and updates throughout her appointment so I would know how she was doing. She did a beautiful job with our girl and we look forward to going back to her. We had a bad experience with a previous groomer that told us Emma needed to be sedated. We knew that wasn't right. I was worried about taking her for continued grooming but found Gen and couldn't be happier. She confirmed that Emma did not need to be sedated and was a very good girl for her spa day. I recently moved to CA and needed someone to watch my two dogs for a few days while out of town. I'm very paranoid about leaving my babies with people I don't know because they are my family and also, weimaraners are unique and not all people understand their needs/behaviors. Today was our puppy's first grooming with gen. I can say that we are 100 percent satisfied. after taking our pup to PetSmart and having bad experiences I can say home grooming is our way to go our pup came home normal not stressed or anxious and she seemed to have really enjoyed gen because she wanted to just lay in her front grass after being done.
