About two weeks ago I brought my Beagle (Cathy) and Basset Hound (Bundle of Joy) to be groomed for the first time ever. I had always given them their baths, but, I hurt my back and called Moondoggies Grooming Salon. From the very beginning, they listened to my concerns about my dogs and how I was so worried about their anxiety level having never been to a salon in their lives. From the minute I walked in the door with my dogs, they were so so so kind and reassuring. My dogs got wonderful baths, anal glands expressed, nails clipped, ears cleaned, and even teeth brushed! My dog is part poodle and has thick curly textured fur. I booked a bath and brush here, and without touching my dog the lady at the desk says "Oh he needs a haircut, because he's too matted and we don't have time so sorry I can't help you." My dog was shaved down completely 5 months ago so his coat would grow back healthy. His coat isn't matted, it's curly, which I explained on the phone. Was calling around for a quote on a dog bath&brush and they were the most affordable and reasonable for my corgi. Everywhere else wouldve been $60+ for basic dog bath&brush and some didnt include services such as anal glands or nail trim with the package. Scheduled an appt over the phone for a Tues. Dropped my dog off around 920am. Parking lot has plenty of parking. Its located behind the shell gas station. They have you either dropping off your furkid between 8-9 or 9-10. Check in was fairly quick&easy. Got a call ~3 hours later that my kid is ready for pick up. Service is friendly. I was greeted immediately as I entered. Inside is very grey&plain but spacious with lots of kennel. My dog was clean & fluffed. They were also sweet enough to give him a cute green bow. The reason for the 4 star review is that he didnt smell as nice as I had expected. I used to pick up my dog from my old groomer and he would smell so fragrant and nice for days. Like he would make my car&room smell nice but you cant smell him unless you sniff him. His nails also could be trimmed a lil shorter as there are still a lot of white before the qwik. Otherwise, I do find myself coming back as price and service was great. Tip: they charge $1 for any card transaction regardless of minimum. read more

I love taking my dogs to get groomed. They go once a month and are groomed by Jocelyn (everyone works amazing too!) and I'm always happy with their cut. I have a pomsky(white) and a full Pomeranian(brown). She even gets their bootys all round and cute! The definitely go above and beyond with their clients and are very accommodating. My dogs love them and are not scared when we walk up to the store. In fact , their tails are wagging when they see them which I think speaks louder than my words. I've recommended their service to a couple other fur parents and I recommend them as well to anyone else in the area looking for a new groomer. read more

I have been with Moondoggies for at least 15 years. A big box pet store ruined my first dog and will not ever go back. I found Moondoggies through a word of mouth recommendation. Best recommendation ever. I will not trust anyone else with my pets for grooming. Jocelyn, Taylor and Chelsey, I may be missing one or two people, are THE BEST! My pup, he's 11, and has a sensitive back. They always make sure he's good and comfortable. Now, they are a busy. They are hard to get into for a reason and that's because they are good! I recommend them to anyone that asks me about where they need to take their pet to get groomed. Maya, the owner of Moondoggies, has had a great crew at the Murrieta location. These gals are talented. I brought my Beagle and Pitt mix in to get groomed and they did a wonderful job. I brought them in at 9 and there were finished around 1230. I think they bring in multiple dogs at once then do all the grooming before calling for pick ups. This was fine with me. They looked great and smelled so good! read more

I took my 15 pound long-haired dog to get a bath and a sanitary tidy. I feel like I was super overcharged at $60! And the only place that was really cleaned up was right by where he pees. There was nothing cut around his butt and his eyes are still a little bit hidden with the hair. Pretty bummed that I spent that much money for mainly a bath and brush out. Had a previous review of my youngest dog getting bathed here. 1st time we took him nothing happened and there was no problems he came back normal. 2nd time he came back with a bleeding tail:( they told us it was happy tail but this had never happened in our house hold before he is a Great Dane pit and we keep him in an xxl cage where he has plenty of room. What I think happened was they stored him in a smaller cage and when his tail wagged he was too close to the sides so he got" happy tail" aka a bloody tail from it or another dog had bit him during his time there they wouldn't tell us..... I will not be brining my 10 month pup there anymore :( poor thing read more
