MMA with Sensei Wright has been an amazing experience for my boys!…read more My youngest gets picked up from his elementary school and brought to the dojo for an after school care program. Here, kids can complete their homework, enjoy an awesome playground as well as other games and entertainment for a great monthly fee. At 5:30, MMA lessons begin. Students are offered complete martial arts training and self defense. Kids are not just taught to defend themselves, they are also taught self discipline, confidence and the courage to stand up for others as well. I love what Sensei does with and for the kids. He is also pretty funny and the kids love him.

Sensei Wright, then 6 months later and some intence training with Sensei Wright told me to take my son to the other school that he should request to challeng the 13 year old Black Belt that dropped my son twice, but got up each time, this day that sparring was to take place. At first my son did not want to go,but was convinced that he had to try. Michael went that night to the other school and when on the mat said he wanted to spar with Pol,the 13 year old Bruce Lee look alike that night. I was watching and holding my breath, but when the fight began my son chocked out the older Black Belt in less then i minute of the 1st round. Sensei Wright was right to make my son do this 6 months after this kid almost caused him to lose the sparring part of the Black Belt test. Sensei Wright is by far one of the best Senseis teaching Mixed Martial Arts and Brzilian JIU JITSU.

This place is fantastic. I joined a couple of months ago, and it's been amazing. I was initially…read morehesitant because I was really out of shape. I had spent years at a traditional gym, but as I got older and dealt with multiple injuries from lifting weights, I realized I wasn't doing myself any favors. That's when I decided to try the Adult Beginner Krav Maga class with Matt on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class allows you to start at your own pace, and it's an incredible workout. More importantly, the self-defense skills we're learning are practical and real. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. If you're even slightly considering trying something like this, I highly recommend checking it out.

UPDATE: Response to the Owner Thank you for taking the time…read moreto respond to my review. To clarify, my experience and rating were not based on the curriculum itself, but on how the sign-up process, cancellation, and communication were handled. This was my first time joining a martial arts studio, so I relied on good faith and clear guidance to understand the terms and expectations. The instructor did mention both a six-month and one-year program after my first class, but there was no discussion that I'd be contractually obligated to either. I was not presented with a formal contract--just a digital signature form on an iPad for recurring payments. I wasn't informed of additional gear costs ($100+tax) until I was ready to the process the payment. Due to a change in my work schedule, I communicated my need to withdraw in text and in person and I did not attend after the first month. I was still charged a second month, and although I disputed that charge, I later learned the studio claimed I continued attending--something I did not do. I changed my card number after this incident to prevent further charges, and I received a failed payment notice after that change. This update is not written with ill intent. I respect the lineage and legacy your family brings to martial arts. My review and this reply are simply meant to offer honest feedback so that new students can be better informed before committing. As a final note, I encourage the studio to also engage with the many positive reviews you've received--not only the critical ones. It shows both gratitude and transparency and helps build a stronger community. Wishing you continued success and clarity in your communication with future students.
