I recently went to their February artisan food fairs, and bought some delicious food products. They had a variety of food vendors: hot sauces, honey, dips, cookies, teas, and more. As for the craft fairs, respect jewelry, candles, cutting boards, and even a few food vendors. That's where I discovered Apisol, a woman-owned company based in the Peninsula that makes delicious sparkling honey beverages. Don't miss the vintage store on the first floor, which has really unique vintage products like postcards, buttons, posters, and more. There are so many fairs in the city, but the vendors here are ones that I haven't seen anywhere else. So check out their insta or their website for dates to their upcoming fairs.

I never heard or been in this location before and I am sure most of you never heard of this place either unless you search for history of the William Randolph Hearst printing press building so many years ago. The building was built in 1926 as a printing plant for the San Francisco Examiner. It is a nice mixed use building like a nice cozy maze to explore the nice layout and architecture of the old print shop. So upstairs about 2 floors and vendors are scattered so it's like a hunt for them, almost like a needle in haystack. Lol Well it's not that hard as you won't miss anyone. Too floor that where you will satisfy your sweet tooth . Yummy. The vendors that were there were a nice mix from tea, cheese, spices, India coffee , Turkish spreads, ice cream, giant cookies, healthy drinks, spreads, and I am sure you will find something you will enjoy. I don't normally buy stuff, but the honey , red beet, 2004 sweet land Bingdao $95 brick tea that is aged 21 years that can make 175 tea servings for $95, Il Fiorello basalmic vinegar was thick and smooth great texture and syrupy taste very captivating and Taste of Levant tahini and their chocolate jar of molasses was excellent and I had to buy them. More recently, the space has undergone a beautiful upgrade. It's stylish and retro with a deco flair and if that sounds confusing it's only because you've not been. All of the previous accolades still apply but now the space is super nice and if you're seeking an event space you'd be remiss not to give the Verdi a look. In the past 4 months I've twice attended events at the Verdi Club. One was a special birthday with a sit-down meal, cocktails, and a live band on stage. It was carried off with perfection, a model for how anyone would want their special birthday commemorated. More recently I was here for a different sort of event and it, too, was pulled off nicely. The array of food and drink was attractive and tasty, the space itself clean and stylish, and the event itself fun. It's worth checking the Verdi Club calendar for upcoming and/or monthly events as this is one of the nicer spots to hang in. Street parking is relatively easy and mostly flat. Whether you're looking for some fun or looking to host some fun, the Verdi Club should definitely be on your list to check out. I've never been to anything here that I didn't enjoy and that says a lot about all aspects of the venue.

We visited on a Sunday and met friends, who said it took a while to get a big table for us; it was surprisingly packed! It's a large industrial brewery, with the equipment chained off at the back. They make great use of the rest of the building with large tables, small tables, bar seating/standing room, plus an arcade area, outside seating area, and a few cozy living room style areas with stuffed furniture at the back. To the right on entry is the canned beer for takeout, to the left is their large bar and impressive tap list. We mostly get IPAs, so it was fun to try their other styles like rice lagers and a barleywine, everything was excellent. Their flights are huge, basically half size goblet pours in a six rack. Prices are reasonable for the well developed beer. They also had a food vendor outside, which we loved (see separate review). It's great to see a place equally rock great beer and a fun experience, I definitely look forward to returning sometime soon.

I felt I had fallen down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. An exceptional and beautiful installation which took up the 1st floor. (Photos below). On each floor was a huge buffet of cheeses, salads, breads also an open bar with exotic cocktails to choose from. The 2nd floor was a pianist & cello player. Beautiful music and finally the 3rd floor, the Rooftop! What a wonderful forest like rooftop, filled with large tropical plants and sofas & comfy chairs to sit and enjoy performers who sang and entertained the large group. Did I mention that not only something different on each floor but food and cocktails were provided on each floor? What an experience and what a venue!
