Though I haven't submitted my documents, so far, so good. If you are going to Brazil, DO NOT use the offical Brazil e-visa site. It's a train wreck. And be careful about alternate sites. I got frustrated and used an on-line site that turned out to be a phishing site. Visa immediately flagged it as a scam. I am experienced with on-line applications and was at first reluctant to pay the GenVisa fee on top of the official $89 fee. But after wasting two days trying to get the official site to accept my downloads, the extra fee is worth every penny. read more

We had a very short notice that we needed visas 60 days before our trip to China. The only problem was that we needed our passports for another trip that was coming up real soon. I contacted GenVisa and they said that it would be close, but the would do everything they could to get our passports back to us before our first trip. My wife and I booked a trip to Northern India from January 16 - January 31, 2026. We decided to save some money and apply for the required ETA (Electronic Travel Visa) ourselves. BIG MISTAKE. After we applied through what we thought was the E Visa website, we could not complete the final steps. This was started in late November 2025. So we decided to use the travel agency recommended Visa service called Generations Visa. We printed off the paperwork after filling in the required information and sent it to their Washington office in the middle of December, before Christmas. They responded that we did not include a Reference for ourselves on the application. We called up and provided the reference. We received an e-mail that went to our spam folder the day before Christmas stating that there was already an application in the system. On the Monday before New Years we called the E- Visa program directly in India and were told they never received our application. We were told to scan in the paperwork to their official E-Visa portal. We noticed the e-mail from Gen Visa over the weekend and called them after this call. We explained what happened. We asked Gen Visa to send in our paperwork, which they already had through the E Visa portal. They said they would. We were told that if there was a duplicate application in the system, they would work to make sure the problem is corrected and would obtain the E- Visas for us. So today we received 2 emails from Gen Visa. One for me and one for my wife that had the ETA attached with the words GRANTED. So, going forward we learned it pays to spend a few extra dollars and let the Travel Agency-recommended Visa service do all the work. Thank you Gen Visa. read more

I needed the visa within five weeks of returning from another international trip. We needed Vietnam and Cambodia visas for 2 of us within 2 months. I submitted $920 which included the $180 expedited fee to get passports back in 30 days. I didn't realize the Cambodian Embassy had not been granting visas for over 3 months, but GenVisa did not notify me. GenVisa did not notify me when they received our applications either. 20 days later I send an email to check on status, all they say is that the Vietnam visas had been acquired but waiting on Cambodia stickers. After 30 days it was getting too close to our trip, so I requested our passports back based on advice from GenVisa. I asked for a refund of the Cambodian Visa cost and a refund of the $180 expedited fee since by the time I received my Passports back it had been 6 weeks. Didn't get a refund for 3 weeks, so had to contact them again. Finally got $170 back, not refund for the expedited fee. I've sent them another email and no communication. GenVisa communication on this has been terrible. And we spent $750 for 2 Vietnam visas that we could have gotten online for $40 a piece. I will never deal with GenVisa again. read more

My Viking cruise will dock in Kusadasi, Turkey, with most passengers wanting to go on a guided tour to the excavated ruins in nearby Ephesus where I have previously visited. No visa needed for passengers on a guided tour; however, Kusadasi is a haven for shopping and that is what I want to do but according to the Viking website a visa is needed when not on a guided tour in Turkey. We needed a Vietnam visa and our tour company recommended GenVisa. I was going to apply for the visas on my own but after reading more horrible stories than good stories on various travel blogs, I went with GenVisa. I spoke with several GenVisa agents early on in the process & have nothing but praise for their customer service & professionalism. They helped me fill the paperwork out correctly and contacted me when needed (and that was only once). I was told the whole process would take 3-4 weeks and they were spot on. We leave for Vietnam in a month and I don't think I could have gotten our visas as seamlessly as GenVisa did. We will definitely use them in the future. read more

I've used them twice , once because they were recommended by Gate 1 for a China Visa and once for an East Africa tourist visa. The funny thing with any visa company is that you hate them when you're waiting on pins and needles for the Visa, but love them when it finally arrives. In both cases we made it with over a week to spare. Some of the pros are they send detailed instructions and they have you make copies and mail it to them. I prefer that to sites that make you upload the stuff onto their e-forms. There prices are competitive with other companies. A negative is that you sometimes get the " check is in the mail" kind of response. BTW they overnighted our Visa. Bottom line is that I would use them again and would recommend them read more

My experience with Generations Visa was great. As recommended by Gate1 Travel, I used Generations Visa to obtain visas to India. The processing time was 8 weeks. It could be faster for expedited services with an added fee. The staff checked my applications and found errors which were returned to me for correction. The errors could've been avoided if I had carefully read Generations Visa's instructions. Heed instructions carefully and allow time for processing. Generation Visa is the worst, most unorganized visa service that there is, passports are so important to their owner, but GenVisa does not care if you ever get your passport back in your possession, they have your money and they won't return that. GenVisa lost our passports and we had to go through so many hoops to expedite the replacement of the passports with Russia visas included. read more

We are in the process of getting Visa's for a trip to Russia. So far the experience has been great. While working on the Russian sponsored web application (quite complicated) I had several questions. Each time I called GenVisa my call was answered quickly with a helpful and knowledgeable human, which was refreshing. As soon as our passports/application package arrived at GenVisa, we received an email stating that they had received our documents. Later that same day, I received a phone call from a gentleman with the visa service letting me know that the passport photo of my wife needed to be replaced and we were able to rectify that issue easily. I recently sent my passport and pertinent info to this company so they could help me obtain a Visa for a trip to Russia. Due to the Coronavirus the Russian Embassy closed and was not able to issue a Visa to us. When I asked Generations Visa Service to return my passport and issue a refund as our cruise in Russia was canceled due to Covid19, I received a very small refund. They advised that the Russian Embassy charged us $198. WTF? We did not get a visa through no fault of our own. Why we would be charged $198???? Don't use these people. Extortionists! They claim they will process your Visa within 30 days. I sent ours in more than a week beyond that. After paying $368 for processing two, they called and wanted $220 more each to expedite the process. If we didn't send them the money, they could not guarantee they would return them in time for our trip. After paying as much as we did for our tour, they knew they had us over a barrel.
