The staff makes a big difference here -everyone I interacted with was warm, helpful, and just made the whole stay feel easy in a way that not every hotel gets right. The vibe overall is also really comfortable. It feels a bit more cozy and grounded than your typical business hotel, which makes it nice to come back to after a long day of meetings or travel. Nothing over-the-top or flashy - just consistently solid in all the ways that actually matter when you're living out of a suitcase. I'd happily stay here again!

The second room with a king sized bed has an amazing view of Logan circle. It was really pretty. The rooftop bar is very cool and we enjoyed hanging out here the first night. Unfortunately it was closed the next night for a private event so if you were only staying that night you were out of luck. The first room did not include breakfast which was a bummer because the rooms here are not cheap. The second room did but we were not aware that it is only 20$ per person and the restaurant is expensive so anything over is on you and it's easy to go over. And then of course you have to tip on the full amount so breakfast wasn't cheap. My advice is to get a room without breakfast and go eat at Federal Donuts across the street. When I got home we figure out that they charged us for breakfast. Getting that straightened out was a pain in the butt and I would be told they were going to fix it and that a manager would need to call me back which of course never happened. So I had to call several times. They finally refund the 40$ a day that the hotel automatically puts on there for breakfast whether you go or not but the charges we made at the restaurant are still on there that we charged to the room. So how is that free breakfast? We paid for breakfast. Parking here is like $75 a day so if you can avoid having a car do that. We just got an uber instead. Also they charge a 300$ fee for incidentals at check in which is kind of shocking on top of already expensive rooms. They refund it after your trip but you better make sure your credit card can fit the fee! I am unclear what the incidental fee is for because there is nothing to buy in the room unless people steal the bath robes or something. My son's room was out of shampoo and he had to ask several times for someone to come and refill it. Otherwise standard amenities in the room including ironing board and hair dryer and mini fridge. Bathroom was odd as I couldn't find any outlets. I finally realized the only outlet is on the wall next to the toilet. Bizarre. My sister in law commented that it was weird that there were no outlets in the bathroom. I had to tell her "go look next to the toilet!" So there were some good things here along with the bad. Location was good as it's right in center city and it was convenient to the locations we needed to go to and it was easy to get an uber or Lyft from there.

It's 3 floors, with a sitting room, dining room, and kitchen on the first floor. A hangout room on the 2nd floor and bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor. There was an issue with the room we originally booked, and Candace upgraded our room for us.l before we even arrived. Our new room was great. It had two parts to it, a king-size bed, futon, and a beautiful bathroom. Candace and the Inn were also accommodating , as we booked on a third party site not realizing kids under 8 were not allowed and they allowed us to bring our 1 year old (he loved the place, too, btw). The bed portion of our bed and breakfast experience was wonderful. The con would have to be the breakfast part. So, first, we should have read their website before booking, as it does state that they serve continental breakfast during the week, and we stayed on a Monday night. As disappointed as we were, that's on us. However, what we were served wasn't even that, in my opinion. There were muffins, some grab and go granola bars, oatmeal packets, and some fruit (apples and tangerines). We were pretty disappointed in the spread. The breakfast options also stayed out all day and also played the roll of the snacks they offered. So when we arrived, the blueberry muffins and granola bars were out in the kitchen to take. We were offered the same thing for breakfast the next morning. Another reviewer stated that this felt more like an AirBnB, and I agree. I think one of the special aspects of a bed and breakfast is not only the charming atmosphere (check, they got that right) but receiving a nice breakfast in the morning. I get weekdays can be slow, so I can forgive a continental breakfast, but there should at least be some yogurt or toast or bagels or something. So, we will settle on 3 stars. The bed portion was a 4/5 star experience, but the breakfast was a 1.

Booked this place for a few nights. Location of this hotel is great. I didn't upgrade my room as the room size seems to be decent. I checked in and went out for dinner right after. Then it gets weird... I got back and could sense this horrible smell. Found it from the sofa foot rest... I raised two kids and that is the smell of pee.... I reported it. They insisted on claiming it is from liquid spilling.... Well, I raised two kids. That is pee.... Red flag one. They moved me to a different room. Slightly better view than the first. Room was okay for the price. At least cleaner. But AC wasn't working.... After setting temp to 85 and turned to heat, the room stayed at 63. I was freezing at night could barely sleep. Complained and guess what.... I got a portable heater in a four star hotel. Second night here.... I can hear drilling.... At 10pm. It was on and off till 1:30am. Called front desk a few times. I was told that they are not aware of where the noise came from. Around 1:15am, I called and complained about the drilling, I asked if they have called 911. They told me no. I found that odd and asked if I should call 911. They said yes, you probably should. So I called 911. At 1:45am, it was still drilling. Called front desk, no one picked up. I went downstairs, called 911 again. I eventually heard that the hotel was doing waterproofing work at midnight?! What? The front desk was nice and upgraded my room to top floor with some discount... but I was moving at 2am for the 3rd time with a four star hotel. Gym was decent here with a peloton bike and good options for weights. There is a pool but I didn't have time to visit. Sky lounge was okay with decent seating and some light drinks and refreshments. To get in, you need a room key. It was impossible to do when you first check in.... This is an odd hotel overall. 1 star to the one decent front desk person that helped me and the okay gym.

1715 Rittenhouse Boutique Hotel The devil is in the details…read more I just loved the wallpaper in the room and lobby. This hidden gem is amazing from the staff, decor, towels, fresh fruit served for breakfast. The rooms were much more spacious than expected, and all of the amenities were obviously chosen with thoughtful care. The staff was the star of the show - always helpful and kind, which made the trip that much more comfortable. Without us even asking, they placed a bottle of wine with a beautiful handwritten card for our anniversary. Everyone from the manager to the front desk was always attentive and friendly. I found this hotel to be my favorite in Philadelphia partially because of its excellent location. It is located right in Rittenhouse Literally 10 steps to Rittenhouse square and has a feeling of natural peacefulness not present in the hotels deeper in the center city. It was a great feeling to spend the day in the hustle and bustle of the center city, then come back to our peaceful hotel. Additionally, the hotel is a short walk away from excellent restaurants such as Parc and Steak 48, as well as a huge variety of shops surrounding the area. If you're coming to Philadelphia, do yourself a favor and stay at the Rittenhouse. The wonderful staff, ideal location, and upscale furnishings are more than perfect for any trip's needs. We looked at different hotels including the Four Seasons and the Ritz for our special weekend, but we are so happy We went with the Rittenhouse Hotel.
