I am not high class, not by choice, but by circumstance. I just cant afford such nice things with three kids, a house payment, and a golf habit. However, if I were to be able to purchase the types of products sold here I would probably give them a shot. My wife and I went there to look for a larger diamond for "one" of her rings. We went expecting to pay the types of prices listed on the web site, but unfortunately, this is a scheme to get you in the store in my opinion. They said you can only buy those diamonds sight unseen; come on who does that? Anyway, we left a little disappointed, but I just chalk it up to a lesson learned. My fiancé got me the most perfect engagement ring and had the best help from Renee at Genesis. I never went to look at any rings and wanted an unusual ring, so He was needless to say a little lost (gold/rose gold and center stone a peach or champagne gemstone not diamond) they went above and beyond to help him find that and the ring itself was a complete surprise. The greatest thing that they did was on the day that he proposed the mounting was being shipped and was accidentally sent to Nashville. Knowing how important this day was Renee had someone drive down to Nashville and come back and the jeweler stayed late to make sure my ring was perfect. Do not ever go to Genesis diamonds! They are the rudest & meanest people I have ever met in my life! I went in to have a sizer put on a diamond ring and because I didn't buy it there, they basically threw me out of the building. Yelling " goodbye ma'am" as I'm walking out CRYING. SECOND TIME POSTING FIRST WAS DELETED I purchased I diamond ring from this store over 2 years ago. I recently have decided to see if I can sell this ring, whether to a diamond store, such as this one or on the public market. Just to get an offer, I brought the ring back to place I purchased it from (Genesis). After close inspection, the VP of the store (Eddie Admony) informed me that he could not buy the ring from me because, quote, "This diamond is not something I would sell in my store". My frustration is that I was sold a diamond that the store doesn't even think is a good quality. I was told when buying this diamond that is was great quality and a great purchase, and was given a certification to prove it (they have since said that the certification they use is not really that good of quality). The VP asked me to bring my girlfriend in and he would like to sell us another diamond...that was the only resolution. It is incomprehensible to me that a store would lie about the quality of the products they sell to this measure and not offer any better resolution than just asking me to come spend more money. read more

This is the best jewelry store around. While looking for a ring for my girlfriend (now my fiancé) I heard a radio ad about the store and thought I'd give it a visit. Walking through the doors it's clear that customer service comes first as you're instantly greeted by a friendly associate. From there they inquire as to what your intentions are, whether it be to make a purchase, upgrade diamonds, get your jewelry cleaned, etc. I, of course was there to purchase, and was amazed to see that there was an excellent choice of exclusive designers including both Tacori and Verragio. I told them what style of ring and stone cut I was looking for as well as my price point, and within minutes I had several settings in front of me as well as various diamonds of varying quality. At no point was I pressured into making a purchase. Beth, the associate I had the pleasure of working with, was exceptionally informative about how diamonds are graded and how the prices Genesis displayed could not be beat. I was also filled in on all the perks and benefits you receive when purchasing with Genesis. I ended up purchasing a beautiful Tacori ring for my fiancé, and she could not have been happier. I highly recommend Genesis for anyone looking for top quality jewelery. It's also important to note that Security is very good at this location. There are two sets of doors needed to pass through In order to get into the store, and only one set can be open at a time to deter theft. I don't know if they made assumptions based on how young we look or what but it's still not excuse to look us up and down and scoff. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My fiancée and I went to several different places shopping for rings and this place was by far the most pushy. The lady we were with spent so much time bashing other jewelry stores around town, but never once did she bother to ask me what I was looking for in a ring like the other shops did. We felt pressured to only look at name brand options even with my explaining repeatedly that I wanted our budget to go more towards the center stone. She just couldn't accept that and even brought over a brand rep with one of the very high priced name brands to come try to convince me otherwise. The appointment was totally centered around the sales reps and not us as customers. We even felt insulted by the way she made such a huge deal at the fact we've been together so long (5years) and were just then getting engaged. We left there with a really bad taste in our mouth and now their radio commercials make me cringe! read more

Visited the store in search of a fine engagement ring in late April or early May which I had a certain type in mind...I.e. A custom creation. Upon arrival the women were formal with a greeting and shuffling us off to an area that had multiple options of diamond and settings. I showed them a picture of one that was similar to what I was looking for and we dove in trying to create it with a hand drawing all the while keeping my budget in mind. They were helpful in that regard and I left the store pleased with their work and left them my contact info so they could get in touch with me within a week. Time goes by, a few days, a week, multiple weeks and then a month. I had been shopping around with competitors and received help elsewhere....with the same service in person but with a prompt follow up from multiple other stores. I, to this day, have not received a call or email from anyone at Genesis. It was a huge let down after hearing they were such a "fine" jeweler. I am extremely disappointed with their lack of follow up and I have since made a purchase with another local longstanding jeweler with much better results. I wouldn't recommend Genesis to anyone looking for a big time engagement ring purchase. read more

GENESIS SWITCHED DIAMONDS ON TWO DIFFERENT ENGAGEMENT RINGS. My husband bought my engagement ring at Genesis. It was a designer ring that was in an "affordable" case, meaning it had an SI diamond in it, so the band was designer and the stone was slightly imperfect, which is a low quality. He examined the stone with a jeweler's loop and saw two obvious imperfections that were not noticeable unless you looked with a loop. My ring could not be sized at the store, instead Genesis had to order my correct size band from the designer, and I got to wear the original one until it came in. When my band came in from the designer I dropped off the original and Genesis was supposed to put the diamond into my new band. When I picked the ring up a couple days later it looked fine. Several days later I noticed that the diamond had a big black dot right on the top. When I looked at it with a jeweler's loop there were so many spots it looked like a speckled jelly bean. We took it into Genesis and the manager said that the only "absolutes" we had were the diamond quality (SI) and its weight. She assured us that they would never switch a stone, and then she showed us a few other SI diamonds and a few better quality ones. We ended up paying $500 for a better quality diamond, that was GIA certified, so it's marked with numbers. But as soon as we walked out I knew we had been scammed. A couple weeks later my brother in law had the same thing happen to him. He picked out a band and a diamond at Genesis and when he went to pick it up after being sized it was a different diamond with obvious marks. He insisted that they change it right then and there, but he spent a couple more hundred dollars as well. I will never spend money at Genesis again. I advise if you do decide to go there, you closely examine your stone before and after sizing to make sure it's the same diamond. They probably have a pile of SI diamonds sitting in the back so that they can scam many people as possible. read more

Watch out for their LED lighting! You are addressed very formally upon arrival but after that we had a lady helping us that was all about helping us until someone else came into the store and needed her. Then she was done with us. She did follow-up a few days later but we had already made our purchase at the Shane Co where they don't trick you with lighting and do everything possible to help you. If you read the fine print Genesis will get you later too by not including the center stone. read more

INCREDIBLE! My boy friend and I visited (in this order) Jared, Shane Co, Davis Jewelers and last but certainly not least- Genesis Diamonds. This company is one that, before ever visiting, I always (and wrongly) associated with only name brand designer diamonds with marked up prices that only the affluent population could afford and I can whole heartedly say that I was 150% incorrect. As soon as we entered the store I was greeted by the most pleasant sales associate--Vetta. From there out my experience was nothing short of incredible. I felt so comfortable during my time at Genesis. Vetta helped me explore the fabulous world of diamonds by encouraging me to get out of my comfort zone and try on engagement styles that I would've never tried on before meeting her. She ultimately picked up on my style and lead me in the direction of the PERFECT engagement ring and wedding band. I am happy and proud to say that we purchased our rings from Genesis and are thrilled to become customers of theirs. The store is clean, welcoming and has beautiful lighting that allows you to see your diamond shine the way they are meant to. Everyone in the store, even those who were not involved in our buying experience, was exceptional. We felt right at home here and we plan to keep our business here in the future. I went into Genesis Diamonds for the first time in June of 2014 when I was looking to buy my then girlfriend an engagement ring. I was pleased with the overall shopping experience. After being greeted at the door I was directed toward a highly knowledgeable diamond specialist. He listened to what I was looking for as far as the look and design of the ring and instantly knew where go from there. We looked at several different options of rings in my price range and style before narrowing it down to two different rings. This was when Wendy came over to introduce herself. She was very friendly and easy to talk to and was willing to give her opinion and expertise of the two different diamonds. She looked at the more expensive option (only by a few hundred dollars) first and immediately said she didn't like the look of the diamond when she looked at it through her scope. She said there was a defect inside and took it out of the case altogether. She then looked at the second diamond and said it was a much better choice. I am by no means a diamond expert, but after looking at the two options through her tool I could see the difference, too. I was pleased with their honesty and not trying to get me to buy the more expensive option. After choosing my diamond I was told I could pick it up after it was re-sized on Wednesday of the following week. When I drove almost an hour to pick up the ring I was told it was not ready yet. I didn't raise a stink, but told them about my wasted trip and how I was not too happy about their lack of communication. Without blinking an eye they apologized and gave me a $250 gift certificate to use at a later date. They then called a few days later to tell me my ring was ready to be picked up. I was very happy with my purchase and have been happily engaged since July. A few weeks ago, my fiance and I went into Genesis to purchase our wedding bands. Once again, I was pleased with the experience and expertise of the diamond specialist. We were able to find a band for her to exactly match the small diamonds in the band of her engagement ring and I was pleasantly surprised with the price. However, I was not impressed with the price of my ring. I just wanted something simple without anything flashy but it was almost one thousand dollars to get something that I wanted. I figured it was a one time purchase so I might as well go for it. Most recently, I was in Genesis today to use the gift certificate I received in June. I was planning on buying some diamond earrings as a Christmas present for my fiance. I was greeted at the door as usual and was directed to another diamond specialist. When I told her the story and plan of my certificate she didn't know if it would work with the current 20% off sale they had going. She had Wendy come over to assist and she recognized me immediately. She knew I was a former customer and was willing to work with me. My fiancé proposed to me on December 24th with a beautiful engagement ring he bought at Genesis. We were both very satisfied with the look of the ring, as well as the lifetime guarantee. Imagine my surprise when only 9 days later I noticed a diamond missing in the band of my ring. I called the store immediately, and they promised that if I brought it in immediately I would have the ring back in perfect shape in only 4 days. Well, it ended up taking 7 days which was frustrating, however when I got the ring back I was once again enamored by its beauty. SEVEN DAYS LATER I look down only to discover two more diamonds missing from my band. I am now beyond frustrated with Genesis, and the experience I am having with the company. I have had my engagement ring for less than a month and will be taking it to be fixed tomorrow for the second time. Really a zero star rating. I've been shopping around for engagement rings and have done my research. Feel decently knowledgeable at this point. Went to Davis and had a great experience and wanted to see if I found something somewhere else that maybe I liked more. The old lady that "helped" me asked me what I was looking for. I told her, showed her pictures of the exact type of ring I wanted and she proceeded to show me rings that were very far from what I told her. She was also very condescending and rude. I then brushed it off and asked to move on to diamonds. I told her what I found at Jared and the price they gave me for everything. She rudely told me that was not possible. I responded politely that, yes this is what picked out and for this price. She again, in a rude manner and tone, said that I must be lying. And that they don't even sell those kinds of diamonds. It didn't get better from there. I left and will not be going back. I will also tell the very large number of unmarried friends I have to avoid this place, as well I strongly advise anyone else to do the same. I went into the store, to get a battery for my watch, since I had moved here, and couldn't go to the jeweler it wasn't purchased from. The store was packed, they were obviously having a sale, with food, balloons at the front door, etc. I was greeted at the door by a very nice young lady, and she explained the layout of the store and directed me to the customer service area, and explained she would get a watch specialist to help. Very shortly a gentleman came over and we discussed the issue I was having, and the problems I was having with the watch. He immediately began winding the stem on the watch as he explained how the watch worked. Before I left, the watch was running fine, and without any plans on purchasing, I began looking at the products in the store. they had a great sale going on, and I left with a working watch, a new watch, and my wife had hers sent to the factory to be refurbished! what a pleasant experience! Such nice friendly people, not pushy and just "out for the sale". We will definitely visit this jewelry store again! such a surprise to find a jewelry store that builds relationships and really tries to help their customers by meeting their needs! thank you Genesis for being professional and friendly at the same time!
