Then asked me along the way if the style was okay and i pulled my phone back out to show her the same pictures to which she said "im going for something a little different"... $400 i'll never get back AND i had to go to another salon to get it fixed.. To start of, my nail tech was Yomiara! She was very sweet and asked what I wanted right off the bat! I was the first one in the salon for the day, and it was quiet, clean, and very professional. I was offered coffee when some other workers came in and although I didn't get any, I really appreciate the gesture and was very surprised. It was a very friendly place that seemed to offer a lot of services! I got exactly what I asked for (pictures to follow) and Yomiara even gave me some tips to make sure my nails stay healthy! To finish, this salon has gone above and beyond and really helped me out since I needed a quick fix. I have been coming to Genesis Spa & Salon consistently for over 5 years now. The staff and the services never disappoint. I refuse to go anywhere else for a manicure or pedicure. I am here monthly for my spa pedicure and it is a treat every time. Marlene & Alex are always making sure their clients are happy and comfortable in the salon, they know everyone by name. Got a gel mani with Groupon this morning and was impressed with the attention to detail in the shaping and cleaning. I really love a proper cuticle clean. It hasn't been a full day so I don't know how long this will last but it truly felt like quality which you don't always get when you mention you have a Groupon. Booked my appt through booksy the night before to be the first appt in the morning and the woman who did the nails was about 10 mins late which threw my morning off a bit but she was apologetic and did a great job otherwise. One major downside is that the gentleman barber (young guy with dark hair and a hat) that works in this salon was not wearing a mask when I came in and even later had his mask around his chin (while working on people!). All Chipped Off !!! I'd like to say good things about this hair studio/ day spa but unfortunately I need to go with the truth. Visited this salon this past Friday received a gel manicure on Friday and come Tuesday almost all my nails were chipped. Today, Thursday I walked in to have it repaired and was turned away with the excuse that the only nail tech working today was too busy and could I return tomorrow. Tomorrow? I'm going away for the weekend I've never been turned away and told to come back another day.Get it right the first time the customer can write a good review and come back for another service . Guess I won't be receiving 10% off for writing a bad review, since a sign at the establishment says any good review written is rewarded with a 10% discount off of your next service . read more

UPDATE : After I wrote a review of a negative experience I had at Genesis Hair Studio and Day spa, the owner, Daniel reached out to me very respectfully and apologized that I wasn't more than satisfied with their services. He was truly concerned and asked to let him fix the situation as he wants everyone of his clients to leave his business happy and satisfied. He offered to have one of his best nail techs fix my acrylics and he also gave me the option to try a complimentary spa pedicure. I believe it's safe to say my last experience was was an isolated experience and maybe it was an off day for the business because this time around my experience at this spa was fantastic, both, the lady who fixed my nails and the lady who did my spa pedicure were great and knew exactly what they were doing. I brought a Groupon & then called to check the availability, and the lady stated their closed on Sunday & Monday. Btw, I called on a Sunday & mentioned what services I was calling for. However, when Tuesday came I drove 35-40 minutes to get there, only to be told by the nail techs that there is a specific day in which the eyebrow threading comes in (Friday only). So I called the cell number listed on Groupon, on speaker, in front of them & they had no idea who the lady was (according to them). Then they go outside to get Daniel (the owner) & his only words was "sorry, but we can wax them".... I refused, so he goes back outside with some guy to finish smoking cigarettes like nothing happened. I contacted Groupon for a refund, in which they granted! I have to say Genesis did disappoint me. I had seen them on Groupon and they had advertised a Brazilian blowout for $54. I was happy when I arrived because it was a very nice and clean place. When I spoke to the stylist I advised him I was there for a Brazilian blowout noted on the groupon. He did the keratin treatment which I know as the Brazilian blowout. When I went to pay I got a bill for $250!! I explained calmly to the owner that I was there with the groupon deal. She tells me that a Brazilian blowout is not the same as a keratin treatment. Which I'm not a stranger to Brazilian blowouts as I have done several in the past with different salons. She tells me that she has never heard of a Brazilian blowout being known as a keratin treatment. After fighting with this lady she accepted half of the cost. I ended up paying a lot more than expected and a lot more than I'm used to paying for it. This is also my bad for trying to find a less expensive option. But they have the false advertising up on groupon so watch out! read more

Most unprofessional and deceiving / worst experience ever! This place is horrible and money hungry. I initially scheduled an appointment with a specific nail tech which I saw her profile on instagram and when I arrived to my appointment I was looked at confused at the reception desk like if I was in the wrong salon. Mind you my first time here so they took advantage because I didn't know what my nail tech looks like. So while I'm getting my nails done the nail tech asks what would I like so I showed her pics from "her what I thought ig" come to find out it wasn't even her. She said that was her colleague. So the owner just to make extra money didn't care to tell me and be honest and say that whom I made an appointment with wasn't there. Instead had me waiting 40 min to get serviced by another nail tech not the one I wanted. Mind you I'm with my kid waiting this long. Super dishonest! My nail broke the very next day and 3 stones fell off. Waste of $87 and to make it all worse they never apologized and didn't even offer to fix the broken nail and fallen off gems! I would have respected more for you to tell me that my nail tech wasn't in and couldn't make it & reschedule or let me know so I can ultimately decide , which I rightfully should as a paying customer who scheduled an app for a specific nail tech! Honesty is the best policy & at least fix the mistake and don't lie! Also, stop over working your nail techs too bc their young teenagers and deserve to take their lunch break. She looked dehydrated and hungry. This is a horrible way to run a business! If I could rate this business a negative I would! read more
