You start by taking a short quiz on what scents you enjoy and some general personality traits. You then proceed to smell from array of scents to pick your favorites and see which scents you like together. After making your selections you mix the chosen scents and pour into your own perfume bottle. If that wasn't great enough you get to choose a name for your creation and they will print the label for you. The owner and employees were all very nice and seem to really enjoy what they do. This is a great gift to yourself or a great place for a girls night out.

I was able to find metered parking directly across the street from the Pillars. Despite it being extremely busy, my best friend, her mother, and I were warmly greeted. We were offered artisanal tea and delicacies as our seating was arranged. Once at the bar, our Perfumer, Jordan, offered us a brief survey. While I answered honestly, I felt badly for Jordan because my taste in perfume is eclectic. I hate most scents, especially floral, and while I love fresh scents in my home - I certainly don't want to smell that way. I digress. Jordan was extremely patient and kind, making unique suggestions. Once our perfumes were complete, we were offered more tea, cookies, and time to unwind while we planned our next move. I really appreciated the luxury of having a moment to slow down, the kindness, and the overall experience. The only thing my best friend (a scientist) noted for improvement was a more detail about the notes and wear. I really loved my experience. It is my hope to coordinate a workshop for a larger group of women that I'm thankful for in the near future.

I was surprised one afternoon at work when a guy handing out fliers, came up can offered a half…read moreprice first haircut at his new barber shop in Downtown Newark, right off broad street on Central Ave. I'm a huge supporter of anyone willing to leave a steady paying job and sell all they have to open a business on their own especially when the city promises to help, yet again, never comes though so I felt it my duty to help these local businesses and take a chance on them whether or not he would hold up to my standards of the West Village $110 cut (i know it's dumb) Well he did and went far beyond with an amazing (WHITE GUY) Hair Cut and trusted him by the 3rd time for a strait razor shave which rivals that of Madison Ave with the eucalyptus & Tea Tree Oil preparations on a hot towel. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS IF YOU LIVE OR WORK IN DOWNTOWN NEWARK, NJ and YOU DO NOT GO SEE THEM AT SEVENTY-SIXES YOU ARE THE FOOL!

Seeing a 4.8* review, I called them to ask if they accept credit cards, today (Saturday, 2/25). The…read moreperson on the phone said they do. Then I asked what is the rate, they said $15 for a regular men's hair cut. With the assurance, I went to the shop. The organization and cleanliness of the place reminded me of barbershops in India where I would pay 50 cents for a hair cut. The place was reeking of ammonia and their were small clusters of hair around, as I entered the person who would cut my hair used a big piece of covering cloth to blow off all the hair on the chair, sending hairs in all direction. However, he was very nice and gave me a good hair cut. During the process, I could not see my hair even once as there were obstructions between the mirrors and chairs due to poor organization. I also noticed that there were two different prices for hair cut $12 for a rush hour hair cut and $15 for a regular. So, I assumed that $12 was for a weekday hair cut. After the professional was done with my hair, I presented my credit card only to be told that they only accept cash. Minor inconvenience. I ran to the nearest ATM and got cash. I asked the barber the cost and was told $20. I did not ask any further questions and paid up the sum and left. As I left the shop I realized that even if I willingly paid 20% tip the cost should have come out to $18 and NOT $20. To sum up: Pros: Close to my university and I was satisfied with my hair cut. Cons: Not clean. Not organized. Credit Card Policy not clear. DISHONEST!Di
