He always starts every session asking if anything has been particularly bothersome as of late, or if there are any areas I feel need extra attention. When he works on you, you can sense that this is someone who truly knows what they are doing. For me personally, his massages are part tension relaxation and part assisted muscle stretching, which I need desperately. When he massages me, we both gain an understanding of where I carry much of my pain and after he works out much of the rigidity of my more stressed muscles, he is extremely insightful with various stretches to preform to help relieve much of the tension. I can tell you from experience, if you follow his stretching tips, you'll feel the difference! Overall, David is great at what he does and can tailor a massage to your specific needs. As a former athlete, he's really helped all of my old injuries and I'm extremely grateful to be able to work with him.

I made the decision 3 years ago that instead of taking any medications or winding up the emergency room that I would see a massage therapist. I have experimented with people over the years in different areas I have lived and nobody comes close to what Diedre does. She specializes as an orthopedic massage therapist, but also does lymphatics and ankyloglossia (tongue tied mainly in children). Since I have started seeing Diedre, I have not wound up in the emergency room for my back spasms ever. During this covid pandemic when she was shut down for months my back could feel the difference and it was the first time I had to take a muscle relaxer a couple times in years. I have an extremely high pain tolerance, and have had most massage therapists say its strange how deep they can go without it hurting me while they are doing it. Diedre does deep tissue massage but in a way where you don't feel like you were beaten the next day while working out more kinks/knots then the people who use their elbows to do the same thing. Lastly, she does this service in her home and has the most amazing and friendly dog ever. I don't know how you could walk away not smiling when you see him and experience Diedre's warm personality. I waited so long to write this review because I was afraid if I told everybody how amazing she is I would never be able to get an appointment. The spa staff were very nice and took time to explain everything to me, since it was a while since I had been there. I found out at the front desk there would be a skincare event at 11 which fit in perfectly with my visit. I changed into my bathing suit, put on my robe and went into the quiet room, got some water and relaxed until my name was called. My masseuse took me into the room asking my preferences also any areas that needed more attention or to avoid. I got the Monet massage with my choice of scented oil. The experience was first class....my masseuse, Michelle, listened to everything I said. I went to the skincare event and came home with some lovely new items and a nice gift bag of products. I went back into the locker room to enjoy the steam room and the sauna. Then to the heated outdoor whirlpool ( they have a bar outside and a few light food items you can order). I knew I was going to have lunch overlooking the little bridge by the waterlily pond. The hostess was incredibly nice, it wasn't busy so we talked and she told me about the other locations. My French onion soup was some of the best I've had, full rich, flavored broth that was NOT too salty, nice soft bread inside and warm melty gruyere cheese. I had a turkey salad sandwich with bacon, tomato, lettuce and avocado on their homemade cranberry, walnut bread. It came with truffle Parmesan thin fries. The meal was excellent, and the service was great. Everybody I encountered was friendly, polite and helpful. The high level of hospitality was evident with everyone I encountered. The facility was clean and the entire time I was there all the little things were constantly being taken care of. Water refilled, dirty linen removed, areas wiped down, etc I can't wait for my next visit.

Sadly our experience didn't live up to Mirbeau's supposed good reputation. The gap between the price and the value of service was the size of the Grand Canyon. Our room was about $450 a night, closer to $500 after taxes. The rooms are pretty, even in the winter the view of the garden was nice. The bathrooms in the cottage rooms are spacious. Things went downhill at dinner in the attached restaurant. We were one of about 4 tables so it was a slow night. Our server did an adequate job, but the food was extremely disappointing. My fiance reported that there were bits of shell in all of his oysters. The cheese board wasn't very inspiring, for $24 I could have made the same thing myself at home after a stop at Wegmans. My filet was cooked wrong twice, after the second time where it came out still slightly overcooked I had it taken off the bill. My fiance finished half of his wagyu as it also fell very flat for him. Mind you, this was a $140 dollar steak entree, and the chef didn't even bother to salt the meat. We ended up having about half our meal comped and it was still over $300 to eat one of the worst fine dining meals we've ever had. The spa itself, like the rooms, were also just okay. The locker rooms are spacious and well stocked, and kept clean. One place that's lacking is that there's not enough waiting space for everyone. The "tranquility" waiting room with the foot pool is not enough room for people who are trying to lounge/meditate AND for people to congregate waiting for their spa services. It was awkward not really having somewhere to sit. My massage was ok, it felt more like a Swedish massage than it did a deep tissue. There wasn't any opportunity to request more attention be paid to certain areas with more tension (I told her my right arm is usually more sore and she kind of just ignored me and didn't touch that area at all). My masseuse said I was breathing incorrectly so I was too distracted by my breathing to enjoy my massage. We ended up cancelling our second night. I will never recommend Mirbeau to anyone.

I had gotten a manual lymphatic drainage massage in CA and wasn't a full believer, but after my session with Jaadin, I felt considerable less swelling and felt my healing progress more in days after seeing Jaadin than I in the full 3 months prior.
