I recognize excellence when I see it. Maria and Joana truly embody that same philosophy. Their approach is warm, affectionate, and thoughtfully child-centered. The environment is relaxed and nurturing, far from a rigid or overly structured setting. They beautifully incorporate Montessori principles along with the Bing philosophy that "playing is serious work." The children are constantly engaged in creative, hands-on learning, with plenty of STEM-based activities throughout the day. What also stands out is the level of communication and transparency. They share pictures and videos all day long, allowing parents to feel connected and reassured. It's clear the children are thriving. The meals are another highlight: incredibly healthy, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. My daughter, who used to struggle with food, is now excited to eat! The children sit together at a pleasant table and enjoy a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins everything is nutritious, creative, and appealing. Most importantly, the care they give is truly above and beyond. Every child feels seen, loved, and valued. My daughter literally counts the minutes to go back to her "Little Star family"and sometimes even cries when it's time to leave because she wants to keep playing. That says everything. Yesterday was our daughter Presley's first day and i dropped her off in tears because it was very difficult for me to let her go with new people and the ladies here were so comforting and calm in dealing with my situation. They totally understood and let me have my space until i was ready. Throughout the day they sent me pictures and updates on their app which was so helpful and awesome. When i picked her up with my wife we were given a full report on how she did from 2 different ladies who gave us awesome advice and tips and let us know Presley was a pleasure. Today i dropped her off and it was so much easier knowing that she is in good hands! From Heather and Micah, we are so appreciative of the love and care you guys give our little Presley! The teacher is so caring and supportive to the little ones creating a positive space for their little brains to work out their own problems. Our daughter is getting more and more independent everyday at a natural pace within her ability. She helps a little and watches them try on their own which is better than just having things down for them. She helped with potty training, writing, reading, eating with utensils, taking turns, and so much more. Nicole also helped our family when we needed flexibility with scheduling as our daughter needed to take outside classes. It's not a service it's more like a little home where the kids naturally learn but still have time for relaxing and an occasional dance party. It's fairly priced but for our family it is priceless. If you're lucky enough to get an opportunity (there's only about 6 max slots available) I would take it!

I felt like an in-home childcare was more our style. The attention my son was getting at the center was not very warm or individualized. My son can be very testy, defiant and difficult at times. When he was first starting, I remember being worried and thinking to myself, "Are they ready for this kid? Can they handle him at his worst?" I'm so grateful we found this school because I know without a doubt that this is the safest and healthiest environment for him to learn, grow and thrive. They have become his second family and he loves going to school. I love how hands on and how communicative they are. Lori has gone above and beyond to demonstrate support however she can, not only with my son but also to me during difficult parenting moments. The app they use makes it convenient to receive updates, photos, and messages. I also love that they provide healthy meals and that I don't have to worry about packing a lunch in the mornings. After touring a few daycares (facility and homes based), we came upon The Sandlot. I called and spoke with the owner Lori who explained her care is actually a home based preschool program. We were invited to visit and observe, to see if it was the right program for us and to see if my daughter was a good fit for her program. We had a great feeling about it and decided to try it out. SO HAPPY WE DID! Our daughter has been with Lori for over a year now and she has really blossomed! The small (12 children), tight knit learning environment that Lori has established is really incredible! My daughter has been able to make close friends, build her social skills, learn things (like her letters and sounds by 3 1/2yo!), experiment, play, and grow! Lori implements rules that encourage respect, good morals and values, and a general safe and fun place to learn and play. We appreciate the constant communication, and respect Loris suggestions for helping the kids overcome any behavioral issues. My daughter works on art projects all the time, and they are always doing some sort of unique and creative learning activity. Lori has 2-3 assistants who are equally amazing with the kids! MHPA is more affordable and higher quality, don't be fooled by the pamphlets and websites of the corporate ones. The play area of MHA has big beautiful trees, and MHPD often uses their parking lot scout for speeders on Monterey. And then they give the kids stickers through the fence. My son is leaving MHPA knowing all the planets (including dwarf), 50 states of America, countries of the world with flags, body organs. counting by 9, 11, and 10s, AND much, much more. Out of all of his cousins his age, at family parties my son is always the one who always gets the "OH WOW!, HE's SO SMART & AMAZING!" Thank you MHPA, thank you Ms. Jamie & team. Kamal & Mr. Gill have been absolutely stellar to work with in guiding our son in his developmental years. They have been extremely accommodating with our work schedules and we have no complaints about the services provided. The staff is super friendly, my son talks about them, by name, at home and he even looks forward to hanging out with Mr. Gill in the morning when our schedules call for us to drop him off super early. There aren't many other places that my wife and I feel would encapsulate the type of parenting style we wish to provide our son (more old school vs new age screen time parenting styles) when we aren't around to do the job ourselves. As any parent knows, it is hard to raise and care for children. Sometimes, things get missed, but hey... you'd be lying if you said that that didn't ever happen within your own household from time to time (now imagine having X more kids to deal with...). Kamal & Mr. Gill's staff are always very receptive when we ask questions and when we request for clarification on matters that are important to us. We always appreciate their willingness to address these matters swiftly with open communication. Our son has a best friend already and "a lot of other friends" that he enjoys playing with at Genius Kids. He loves the "purple slide" and I appreciate the daily app updates w/ pictures to show him learning/growing in his environment. Obviously you can see negative experiences within these reviews, but I will say that this has not been anything close to our experience here. I am glad we found a place where our son can consistently grow in a stable environment and it is even more encouraging that he can be there for potentially many more years to come. The type of energy you receive can often mirror the type of energy you put out into the world and we are very happy that we found Kamal, Mr. Gill and Staff to partner with in raising our son. read more

There is no doubt that Genius Kids is the best preschool in the Morgan Hill area! You can tell that the staff genuinely cares about all the children. They are excellent teachers, and they create a nurturing and enriching environment for their kids that facilitates learning, all while the kids are having fun. I visited the campus recently on behalf of my daughter who has a little kid. I strongly recommended the school to her based on the sheer delight on the faces of children, the friendly, colorful ambiance, books, new toys, new desks and chairs and the quality of the facilities. It has a huge, secure playyard with innovative experiences for the childen. The staff were super nice and proficient. Wishing the school much success. read more

I am so happy with my 3 children's experience with Genius Kids. My eldest son whom is 10, worked with the dedicated staff during this last summer and was able to jump forward a grade level in his reading comprehension, which is appreciated as he had been behind. Both our daughter and son are constantly impressing us with just how much they are able to do - such as writing the alphabet, drawing, using scissors safely, and transitioning to cups. I recognize excellence when I see it. Maria and Joana truly embody that same philosophy. Their approach is warm, affectionate, and thoughtfully child-centered. The environment is relaxed and nurturing, far from a rigid or overly structured setting. They beautifully incorporate Montessori principles along with the Bing philosophy that "playing is serious work." The children are constantly engaged in creative, hands-on learning, with plenty of STEM-based activities throughout the day. What also stands out is the level of communication and transparency. They share pictures and videos all day long, allowing parents to feel connected and reassured. It's clear the children are thriving. The meals are another highlight: incredibly healthy, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. My daughter, who used to struggle with food, is now excited to eat! The children sit together at a pleasant table and enjoy a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins everything is nutritious, creative, and appealing. Most importantly, the care they give is truly above and beyond. Every child feels seen, loved, and valued. My daughter literally counts the minutes to go back to her "Little Star family"and sometimes even cries when it's time to leave because she wants to keep playing. That says everything. The owner has changed recently and things are more organized than earlier with an app to track check in and check out, cameras for surveillance, frequent communication on upcoming events via the app and they also send pictures of your kid at the school. The area is huge, yet well maintained and the management is constantly trying to improve their processes with ideas of bringing a computer learning room, sports classes for interested kids in pipeline. A big shoutout to the new owner Nikita and the wonderful teachers trying their best to take care of the kids , making them learn new things with fun activities. My kid loves eating the food there with his friends. They also offer school pick up's for some schools. Highly recommend !

The owner lies repeatedly and discusses confidential information with other parents. My child has reported disturbing things to myself and my spouse that have happened here and, yes, it has been reported. The owner of this establishment has intimidated the staff into covering up issues, so to hell with them being mandated reporters, it is our responsibility as parents to speak up for what has happened. Please be sure to do your homework on investigating daycares before placing your child in their care. Be sure to look up complaints filed with the Department of Social Services, just because they are unsubstantiated does not mean they did not happen, they just could not prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. To the other parents who have pulled their children out for similar issues, please speak up, otherwise it will continue to happen!

Sandra & her team have great communication with parents-keeping is updated with events, notices, learning calendars, & progress on our children. She also keeps parents updated on what new material she & her team are learning & will be implementing with the children. My child enjoys going to daycare, seeing teachers, & playing with friends. My child has learned so many skills ranging from writing, letters, colors, shapes, emotions, safety, & social skills. My child also enjoys talking about all the yummy food & snacks provided. As a working parent with a background in Infant Family Early Childhood Mental Health, it was important for me to find a place where I knew my child would bloom in all domains & be cared for with so much love & care & I was fortunate to have been referred to Sandra's daycare by a parent whose child was attending at the time. They treated him as if he were one of their own, and as a parent, that level of care means everything. What impressed me most was how they balanced education with love and emotional support. My nieces and nephews first went here years…read moreago so when it was time for my first son who is now 8 to go to preschool I felt comfortable knowing that he will be with loving teachers while learning. My son who started attending when he was 2 was prepared for kindergarten thanks to creative play. Now my second son is in tk at creative play and has also been since he was 2. My son had a speach delay and it was Julie (the owner) whom brought it to my attention in a caring way and guided us to the process of finding the right speach therapist and thanks to her our now 5 year old is flourishing. He loves school! His teacher even came to watch one of his soccer games. (It's that kinda school). My son has made numerous friends and walks in every day holding his little school bag with confidence and looks forward to his day. My youngest son will attend this summer when he turns 2 as the summer programs are amazing they offer water day, food crafts, sports which is perfect for us working moms. Creative play is my village! I appreciate the love, support, kindness and gentleness they have with my sons. Julie and her staff take the time to make you feel like family. A few amazing things that I appreciate is they understand working parents schedules and offer extended care when other places do not. They also have class parties, spirit week, pumpkin patch field trips and the most adorable Christmas program! If you're looking for a caring, reliable preschool/tk creative play is it!!!
