My phone started cycling on and off, and I could not get it to stop or reboot. I took it into Verizon and they didn't know what to do and basically told me there was nothing they could do for me. However they did recommend Genius Phone repair. I had never heard of them and was reluctant at first but am very glad I went. I found the guys to be very friendly, professional and knowledgable . . . and with a zero cost diagnostic test, it seemed like a no-brainer. They told me what they thought it could be and while not wanting to get my hopes up, could just require taking the battery out and reinserting it which would be no charge. They also assured me they would not do anything without first calling me with a cost estimate. I dropped it off late afternoon and they called me around 8:00pm (they close at 7:00pm) with an update. They called again the next day and the phone was done . . . no charge as the best case scenario was all it required. So I got my phone back in less than a day and didn't cost me anything. The estimates to fix what they thought it could have been seemed reasonable to me and I would have gladly paid them, but was glad to walk out with no charge . . . although, I felt a little guilty as they obviously put a significant amount of labor into the diagnostics, disassembling and putting my phone back together, etc. Based on my experience I would definitely recommend this store and would use them again without hesitation. I would give them more stars if this review site would let me. I will feel much more comfortable in the future turning down the insurance on a new phone, now that I know there's a reputable business with reasonable pricing (in my opinion) that can fix my phone should something go wrong. The volume control on my android phone would not work and the phone was stuck in the master reset mode. I could not get out of the reset mode because to get out I would have to press volume down. I took my phone to the Verizon store where I purchased it and they advised me they would have to order another phone for me. I dreaded the thought of re-entering all my apps and passwords. It would also cost $100 for the new phone. The Verizon worker suggested I take the phone to Genius Phone Repair in Mishawaka which was just down the street from where Verizon is located. The worker told me they were very good with repairing phones. I took the phone there and the employee told me with parts, labor, and tax it would cost appx. $75 to replace the volume rocker. They would have it back to me that day. I was happy to pay that price. Fifty minutes later the employee called and said "your phone is now working and to be honest they did not have to replace the volume rocker but just re-center it. There would be no charge." I headed over to Genius after not being able to resolve an issue with an old phone at the Verizon store down the street. Eric at Genius Phone Repair went above and beyond to assist me in diagnosing the issue with my phone even though the store was near closing time. I ended up purchasing a "new" used iPhone 6. I was beyond satisfied with the guidance and explanation Eric provided on the pricing of the device. Beyond setting me up with a new device, we made sure to properly encase it so I will not hopefully have to soon return. If I did, however, run into any issues with my iPhone or any other electronic advice Genius Phone Repair would be the first place I would head to. I went in to get my Galaxy S5 camera fixed. The glass on the camera was cracked open with a gaping hole and the camera was blurry. I took it in and they spent 3 hours working on it, removing the glass and trying to fix it, but alas the camera was jammed and they would have to order a new one, which would price it at twice what it would cost me to go through my service provider (it was insured). Now after that 3 hours with only being able to remove the broken glass, they called it a free diagnostic and did not charge me. The spent 3 hours, chipping the broken glass out of my phone and didn't charge me a penny! Give these guys your business. I know I will when I need any more phone repairs or accessories. read more

This is the best place to repair your latest cell phone or electronic gadget. On two separate occasions, Genius Phone Repair has service my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ to almost its original form. When they say they can repair a phone with water damage - THEY SURE CAN. My phone was submerged in water for over 5mins while i was in Cancun in September, 2015. l live in Chicago and had to drive over 100miles to get the phone repaired. I have to say that the trip was worth it because Genuis Repair was able to get my phone up and running within 2 days. Dropped off my ipad mini with screen completely smashed and unusable from me dropping it on a fireplace mantle, they fixed it up beautifully, looks brand new. I have been using it for about a week now and I am happy to say that it is the Same responsiveness as before and seems like they used a high quality replacement screen. Great customer service and they fixed it and had it ready for pickup within 1 day. And cheap! Apple wanted to charge me 250 dollars to replace it. Here it was only 137 after tax. Almost half price! So... I dropped my iPhone in the toilet :( After Apple and AT&T both told me it was trash I searched google for some answers. I found Genius Phone Repair. I sent my phone in and was told it was the screen that needed to replaced. Ben was super helpful, replaced the screen and sent it back right away. Very helpful both times I have been in. iPad screen cracked and they repaired within a few hours on a Friday as we were taking it on a trip. One of our iPhones went dead on a Monday night, and the first available appointment at the nearest Apple store Genius Bar was on Thursday. We walked in to Genius Phone Repair at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, and the phone repair was promised to be done at 1:30 PM. The fastest service ever! Paid the $20 express repair fee and had my screen fixed within 6 minutes!!! They also fix computers, iPads, and laptops. About as good as it gets for phone repair. Nobody likes having to pay to fix a broken phone but the prices are fair and the service is quick, and comes with a warranty, which helped me when my screen started to have blue vertical lines after repair!
