I regret forgetting the owner's name but he really was the most pleasant and hospitable person. My favorite part of the mansion was a quiet comfy library nook that had a hanging decorative wreath made of artfully interwoven branches and lights. It spread across the ceiling and added warmth to their hospitality. I wouldn't hesitate to board here once more.

The owner Steve was very friendly, and prepared a great breakfast for us. Afterwards, he sat around and talked about the history of both the house and the city of Dundee. The bed was comfortable, and we were in the biggest suite, so we had a HUGE tub in our room. It definitely is a place to consider if you're traveling through this part of the country!

Came here for a Labor Day tubing trip down the river and decided to stay the night to enjoy the hiking the following day. This b&b tried its hardest on the breakfast despite the covid precautions with packaged snacks, fruit, assorted coffee and tea. The rooms are really unique, all very spacious with their own bathrooms. And the common space is super cool. Best part are the screened in porch and exterior wrap around porch with rocking chairs. I picked this place because it looks much like my grandmothers house from the 1800s and wow was it similar. Spoke with the owner for an hour about the character and all the special features. It was so cool to learn more and appreciate her passion. I can't wait to come back and enjoy the amazing breakfast she likes to cook and stay in another room to try it out. The owners were very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. We stayed in the Somerset room and everyone was jealous. I think it's the best room! Very ornate and old fashioned looking. We have a group of us that have stayed here several times. This year we had to cancel our…read morereservations on August 1 for our October 20-22 weekend. 2 days later we were all charged a $50.00 cancellation fee for a total of $200.00. Just wanted everyone to note their cancellation policy. We had given over 70 days notice that we were unable to make our trip this year, but it doesn't matter the $50.00 is their set cancellation fee. I would also mention that the air quality in the log cabins is awful!! We opened our windows, bought air fresheners and nothing got rid of the musty moldy smell that permeated the cabin and irritated our sinuses and lungs. This was not a one time experience, we noticed the smell on at least 2 of our stays among several cabins. It was so bad that the last reservation (cancelled one), we had all booked their other cabins, not the log cabins. I have told our group to count me out if they decide to go back, just left a bad vibe with me.

The meals for the retreats are very good- great selection with a big salad bar, fruit, soup and then hot choices too. They have basic retreat rooms- very simple but I think they each have their own bathroom and the rooms were very clean. The meeting rooms are also good. Overall I highly recommend Techny Towers for a retreat!
