It was all arranged nicely and the view from the room was fantastic! The entire hotel only has 6 rooms so it was extremely nice and quiet. Check-in was easy and staff was nice. Breakfast was either brought to your room or eaten in the lounge. It was ordered the day before and brought to you in the morning, very nice. Our older daughter thought it was "fancy" and wants to come back. It was an extremely pleasant stay and we will be back!

We were able to gather in the lounge and go at our own pace. We stay here every time we return to the area. The rooms (recently updated) have always been big, very well appointed and pristine. It's incredibly quiet and parking is right there and always available. The best part is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The last time we came, they took great pains to help us get a (very hard) reservation at the student-run restaurant in the same building. They are also very knowledgeable about the area. The really good breakfasts are served at whatever time you want, either directly to your room or in the very nice lounge right next to the rooms. Why stay at a much more expensive and impersonal hotel when you can have a relaxed and quiet visit and save a bunch of money at the same time?

The full breakfasts provided by George and Rey (Rey is also the gardener, and she has created some truly lovely spaces around the Inn: lovely flowers, 2 koi ponds, scattered seating areas) were absolutely delicious with all kinds of breakfast items like pancakes, quiche, bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, potato waffles, fresh berries, melon, strawberries, yogurt, granola, bread pudding and more. The guesthouse and the Inn are walking distance to the Woodstock Square and we enjoyed the farmer's market & brick and mortar stores for some retail therapy. We drove up and the propriatress was chatting with neighbors. She greeted us and when we asked if it was OK to take photos of the outside. . . she have us a tour of the inside! Wow, that was unexpected! Super warm and friendly owner, the Inn has many of it's original features including wood floors, lighting fixtures, coal burning fireplaces, stained glass, and more. It also boasts a beautiful new kitchen and glorious gardens including milk weed for the Monarch Butterflies which have been rapidly decreasing in numbers in recent years. So yay! She has a small shop of movie themed items and a museum cabinate of movie props. We were told about the filming pricess at the inn and told about plans for the gardens. When I booked the room it said that it included free private parking at the location... less then 24hrs hours before check in I get an email stating ( there are 3 parking spots that's first come first serve and parking on road in front of house) ok well that should be put on the description before u book the hotel cause I would've never booked with them if I'd known u had to park over 2 miles from the hotel... We got their at 3:11pm check in was 3pm - we got there and no parking for over 2 miles away from house on the side of a road in a sketchy area... We had no way of knowing about this until we arrived because their description was a lie and not detailed enough... They didn't say they had 6 rooms but only 3 parking spaces... We had 2 large suitcases, a large duffel bag. And a large cooler that they expected us to walk over 2 miles with to the house to check in... We never made it in the building - after about a half hour of calling and messaging with no response from owners we left to book another hotel over 20 minutes further and at another 200.00 in costs... we had no way to cancel the room backseat we couldn't get ahold of anyone so they said because we didn't cancel they are kept 80.00 of the 94.05 we paid to book the room stating well we said parking was first come first serve.... YEAH LESS THEN 24HRS BEFORE OUR RESERVATION WHEN IT WAS ALREADY TO LATE TO CANCEL THE ROOM.... SCAM SCAM SCAM WITH NO RESPONSE OWNERS STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOUSE - It completely ruined me from ever staying at a bed and breakfast and definitely check out all their other bad reviews...
