If you see a gray and reasonably fit man with University of Iowa or Texas A&M-themed gym clothes, that's me. But you definitely won't see us on a pickleball court, which isn't the type of strength, endurance, and cardio exercise that we need. We really really like this gym and don't mind the relatively long but frequent Genoa commutes. You'll also find me here in its time as a volunteer election worker. And there's so much more going on here.

The drive would be very long, especially on Highway 50- but coming down to Highway 89, and seeing Minden!.. Seeing open land and the mountains brings tranquility.. lol.. Minden is fun to walk around.. visit small shops and just relax.. Can't wait until the fishing trip!

Guest services was very clean. The front desk staff was very attentive and offered to store my personal belongings. Upon arrival you will be offered a keepsake photo for your Instagram and given slippers for your stay. Room was not overly decorated. Unfortunately, there was no turn down service and the mattresses were not very comfortable. Complimentary meals were served three times a day. The food was like nothing I've never experienced. Portions could have been larger. Beverage service was below average. Not a large selection. There is limited cell service and no access to the internet. A real off the grid experience. It's a wonderful place to have time alone to reboot and really get to know yourself again. They have a great incentive plan for guests staying more then one night. You receive a significant reduction in your final lodging invoice. Overall, my stay was very eye opening. I regret to say I will not make reservations again.

I just had a card sent, it was opened, the items taken, then taped back up. They weren't even smart crooks, I would have disposed of the mail all together then send something empty. Worst part was it wasn't even civilians being loud it was the staff. And on top of being so loud they were all rude and snappy at the children and other people browsing. If asked to quiet down, they'd ignore you. So disrespectful. It has such potential to be so amazing for the community but it isn't ran well enough to make a difference. We stopped in a couple of times and nobody could be sure why they were not ready to give to us yet. Today we stopped in and Kim took my number, then proceeded to call me and tell me that the reason nobody could figure out what was going on was that the owner of the building already had our keys!! It just made my day to have a postal service employee take the time and interest to get this resolved and then follow thru with us. Thank you Kim!!

Starting with the people who greeted me just inside the door, people smiled and spoke to me, making me feel like family the first week. You will feel comfortable whether dressed casually or more formally. The pastor greets people in the sanctuary and lobby before and after the services. He reads and uses scriptural passages in his messages, applying them to life situations and showing us how we can better live our lives according to God's plan for us. This is a church very focused on ministry and service, with many opportunities to serve. There are also several group prayer times at the church during the week.
