I just want to give a shout out to Kim from the Post Office in GV. We were trying to forward our mail and get a key to a cluster box at our new office. We stopped in a couple of times and nobody could be sure why they were not ready to give to us yet. Today we stopped in and Kim took my number, then proceeded to call me and tell me that the reason nobody could figure out what was going on was that the owner of the building already had our keys!! It just made my day to have a postal service employee take the time and interest to get this resolved and then follow thru with us. Thank you Kim!! read more

non-stop problems with delivery. I've spoke to the postmaster in person at least three times. and he just tells me how hard everything is for them. no solution can ever seem to be found. days later I still don't get my mail. at this point I feel like I'm just being targeted for complaining. read more

I wish usps would stop getting my packages because they literally never deliver them. Can't call anyone either.

I try to call the post office. Get a recording that they will transfer me to an operator. Then it rings about 40 times or more, and hangs up on you, giving you a busy signal. We have no way to get our mail. None of our keys any longer fit our boxes, and yet no one is reachable to tell us what we are supposed to do. read more

I'm new to the area and this is the worst postal delivery service ever. I have informed delivery, and can see what I'm supposed to get... but it takes forever for it to show up. tonight at 6:30 pm the postal truck showed up and I asked if he was delivering the mail... nope he said, I'm just delivering packages. wtf read more

Most employees are quite helpful and cheerful. They offer the best the USPS has to offer in terms of speed, insurance and proof of delivery. read more

Terrible service. Absolutely terrible. Amazon delivered some packages and the post office did not put it in the box. They never even sent a notification that they had the packages. We called at the post office and they said they didn't have the packages. Then we drove down to the post office and they said they didn't have the packages. Three days later we get a note in a box. Unlike other delivery services you have to work around their schedule. They kept telling us we have to go to a box every day. We tried that and still have problems. I know what I'm talking about, I have been at this address for 26 years. One time we had an excellent mail carrier. Unfortunately she is no longer on our route. read more

Terrible. I've been dealing with my mail going to everyone but me for more than 6 years and I'm over it. I ordered 2 countertop ice makers. They were as usual "delivered"...but not to me. I've lost so much money because of their crappy employees who apparently CANNOT READ -_- read more

Every interaction with the counter staff I've had has been awful. Is being rude a prerequisite for employment here?

My brother ordered a metal sign from Amazon as a home decoration and it was eventually delivered to him late after the carrier made an attempt to deliver it to the wrong address. The delivery instructions were to place it on the front porch. When it was finally delivered the metal sign was destroyed and severely bent, like the carrier tried to fold it because it wouldn't fit in the mailbox. It's pretty obvious this was done intentionally. My brother tried to contact the Postmaster and was passed off to someone else the second day in a row who seemed uninterested in this and tried to blame it on Amazon. read more

I made an in person appointment in order to submit my application for a passport a week before my appointment. I had left work early in order to get to my appointment 10 minutes ahead of time as it was required. Once I arrived to my appointment I was stated that have not had anyone that can assist with passports. I was never informed of this on the website nor through a phone call. The person I spoke with said he called be the NIGHT before my appointment but I do not have any record of him making a call or leaving a voice message. I understand there is no one that can help me but why "wait" until the night before my appointment? Horrible service. He said there was nothing he could do and I need to go else where. Now I need to make another appointment and take time off from work. If anyone is interested in setting a passport appointment here, do not do it. read more

My family lives in Gardnerville. I can't count on this post office to deliver items that I send them. There were at least 3 different items that weren't received, including a gift card. Therefore, my Mom also doesn't feel comfortable sending mail out of that office. She has little confidence that items will arrive at their destination. She has also noticed that the post office is consistently in need of a good cleaning. I always send priority mail now if I include a gift card. So far that has helped with assuring it actually gets to the recipient. read more

This is an excellent small town US Post Office. Staff are helpful and courteous. Our rural mail carrier Stacy, assigned to this office, is a superb employee that quite literally everyone in America wishes they had deliver their mail. We count ourselves lucky to have them both. read more

On or about 1/27/20, the local area had received an extended snow fall lasting about 2 days. Roads were plowed but most street side mail drops were blocked by a frozen snow burm. On 1/30 & 1/31 postal vehicles were seen making parcel deliveries. When questioned concerned mail delivery on 1/30/20 the driver stated there was no mail delivery due to the fact that some vehicles had attempted delivery but had been damaged but they were still making parcel delivery. They were damaged? Thats not my issue. Did you not realize there may be snow in the winter time when you submitted a contract proposal? You can park in the street and place the mail in the box? Additionally, if you can deliver parcels by foot you cannot do mail delivery by foot?? Also, are these delivery people still receiving compensation while they are NOT making deliveries?? When exactly will deliveries be made? When spring arrives? read more
