Unfortunately, our experiences with the manager, Jerome, have been consistently uncomfortable. On multiple visits, his comments and demeanor have given us the impression that our business--particularly Amazon returns--is unwelcome. Today was a good example: we came in with four pre-packaged boxes, one of which simply needed to be dropped off. As soon as we walked in, he looked at the boxes and remarked, "Those can't all be returns." My wife felt put on the spot and replied that they were, and his response was an audible sigh that made us both feel like an inconvenience. Other employees have mentioned that a large portion of the store's daily traffic is Amazon returns, so the attitude is especially confusing. Customers shouldn't feel guilty for using services that are core to the business. Because of these repeated experiences, we've decided it's worth driving to the other Carson City location--despite the extra distance--to avoid feeling unwelcome. We value good service, and it's disappointing to feel pushed away from the store we've supported for so long.

Wine shipments are the worst, but those aren't the only situations when deliveries can't be completed. I chose to pick it up at the FedEx Ship Center that I've passed many times on the way to the Sassafras Restaurant or Carson Hot Springs. I arrived during the middle of the day and after a little information confusion, my package was securely in my hands on the way to the car. Of course, each individual delivery has its own story and often a review is feast or famine. I'll call this one relief and subject to undefined experiences in the future.

From the very beginning Scott was amazing. He got us the perfect box, took about 15 minutes advising us how to pack it to avoid damage (fragile electrical equipment), and then shipped it for over $100 less!! He even marked the box with labels to help encourage UPS from having to flip it so it would stay upright and safe during shipping. He has been there over 20 yrs. When my fairly new washer decided to break on me, I searched Yelp for a clean, safe laundromat to…read moredo my laundry at. I came across Express Laundry Lounge, which only had 1 Yelp review but boast 5 stars. I decided to make the drive to N. Carson and give Express Laundry Lounge a try. Upon entering I noticed how clean the laundromat was and all the machines looked fairly new. Walking around I noticed various sized washers available that were capable of washing 18 lb. To 85 lb. Loads. Wow! A sign above the washers showed instructions on how to pay for the washer/dryer fees via a laundry pay app., which was very convenient. Their washers are very efficient, you can choose the temperature of the water, whether you want an extra rinse, all of which are upgrades, but the additional fee was minimal (.50-1.00 add on). The avg. wash is about $5-6 on their 18 lb. Load washers and $1.50-$2.50 for their dryers for roughly 25 minutes dry time. You can also adjust the temperatures of the dryers. The dryers are also very efficient. I also liked how the app you pay through notifies you when your washer or dryer is near its complete time, along with the washer or dryer machine # so no risk of forgetting any laundry in the machines. I also liked how there was a person manning the laundromat, sweeping and checking/cleaning the machines as people completed their loads. I noticed her greeting regulars as they came in. She was also kind enough to let my Maltipoo dog sit with me inside while I folded my laundry. The laundromat also has free wi-fi for their customers. All in all I had a very pleasant laundry experience here. I'm hoping my washer gets fixed soon, but in the off chance it doesn't, I will definitely head back to Express Laundry Lounge to do my laundry.
