I was visiting from out of town Saturday night, and this was my first -- and unfortunately, my only…read more-- time eating here. I ordered the brisket sliders to go, and after taking just one bite, I immediately noticed that the brisket had a very strong chemical-like taste. It was absolutely disgusting, and I was unable to eat the food. I called to report the issue and requested a refund. Unfortunately, the young manager refused to refund the purchase back to my debit card and instead offered to remake the order if I came back to the restaurant. I explained that I was visiting from out of town and was already an hour away. I was not going to drive an hour back just to have an order remade that I had already been unable to eat. I told the manager that, since they were unwilling to issue a refund, I would have to dispute the charge with my bank. His response was that he essentially didn't care. I understand that mistakes can happen, but what was most disappointing was how the situation was handled. When a customer receives food that has an unusual chemical taste and cannot eat it, I would expect the restaurant to take the complaint seriously and make a reasonable effort to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, both the food and the customer service left a very bad impression. Since this was my first experience here, it will also be my last. I would strongly encourage management to review how situations like this are handled in the future.
