Ok, so I come here because it's easy in and out. I rarely drink beer but if I do a traditional Hefeweizen is my go to.. It's on tap daily. Secondly the food has been seriously consistent ie burnt ends and coleslaw; only thing I've eaten here. Burnt ends are really traditional smoked and salted a little meaty and a little fatty just right for soaking up bbq sauce and vinegar from the slaw. Speaking of slaw it's a Texas staple flavored 50/50 acv to mayo base, nothing fancy and nothing wrong with it. Even on Mother's Day I could slip in, eat and roll out in under 45 minutes. Service is on par with getting a tip for promptness and offering anything else. Nothing negative to say. The walk up patio bar is still the way to go. read more

Clean as a whistle, comfortable & hospitable, Heim brings BBQ royalty to the city & surrounding areas of Weatherford. An old steak house was completely gutted & renewed vision brought this BBQ destination usually found in DFW proper to the i20 corridor 20-30 minutes west of Fort Worth. It's got a stickier price tag but it's well worth it! I got the BBQ Snob (aka Daniel Vaughn) sandwich which boasts 3 meats. Get it with the jalapeño bun - I think that was the best part of the meal! It definitely elevates it anyway. The kindness of the employees was stand out with consistent guidance & care plus I got to sample one of the wings they serve on Wednesdays after 4. It has a pickle brine taste with just the right spices. Nicely done, I would taken a dozen if I hadn't already eaten a full meal. The sauces, original or spicy is the perfect greaser for whatever meat you're stuffing your face with. These guys should still be on the top 50 if they're still putting out the good stuff on a mid-afternoon regular weekday. Great folks every time I go there but honestly the BBQ is just ok and at times not very good at all. I recently had a sampler plate and the ribs and burnt ends were tough but the brisket was good. The potato salad was very delicious, however. This is a new location and was a good size and conveniently located with a casual vibe. Green chili Mac and cheese was yummy! My brisket was literally a slice of fat. $46 with tip for 1 slice of brisket and a couple slices of turkey. 2 sides a drink and a basic burger to go. I went to order 2 sausage links for my husband on the way out. $26. He said it was very good though. read more

Stopped in for lunch and had an ok meal, and I will say that the overall Heim brand has fallen off since Emma and Travis sold it off. Got the two meat platter with brisket, pork ribs, mac n cheese, and onion rings. Pork ribs were the best part, hands down. They were tender and very flavorful- next time I will order just ribs. The brisket was slightly overcooked and the bark was more crispy than I like. Decent flavor on the brisket. As for the mac n cheese, it was nice and creamy and had good flavor but the actual pasta was slightly overcooked. The onion rings were not good and I do not recommend. The batter was soft and I just don't think that's how onion rings are supposed to be. The batter should be crispy. Anyway, I didn't finish them and I almost never leave food uneaten. Cool little joint inside though with plenty of seating and a decent bar area. Plenty of staff around to take care of you. read more

I placed the family pack to go on 07/03/2026. The meat and BBQ sauce were amazing. I did not get my dessert which, according to the website, was supposed to be banana pudding. I wish it would have been there because I have no doubt it would have been wonderful - very disappointed. I ordered the loaded potato skins which were simply wonderful and delicious!!! I picked up two brownies when I went to pick up my order - disappointed as they were too hard but became perfect when popped in the microwave. The coleslaw was very yummy. The fried okra was mushy and probably would have been perfect had it been in a different container. If I give them another chance it will be dine in as I do not trust the carry out now. read more

We have stopped in at the new weatherford Heims a few a times since it opened. Over all, the place has steadily fallen off each time we tried with the restaurant being "out" of more items each time we have tried. This time, after being told they no longer offer the beef rib and that they were out of the jalapeño sausage, and turkey, (two of these being the things we came in for especially ), we settled on burnt ends, regular sausage, and beef brisket. We paid, took our number, and made our way over to fill our water cups. As we did, the person who took our order came over and informed us that they were also out of the burnt ends as well. After 3 other not great experiences, we just asked for a refund and left. We are truly disappointed since we were hoping Heim would offer the Family another dining option in the Weatherford area - sadly not - it has fallen off steeply... read more

I've given this restaurant two tries and unlike baseball I doubt there will be a third. The first visit I had the brisket and burnt ends. The brisket was average at best. I've been to Heim Weatherford 3 times for very average BBQ. Unless I hear the prices have been reduced or quantity has increased, there will not be a 4th visit. I much prefer driving 8 miles further for take-out from HEB BBQ which is head n shoulders better. read more

I'm very disappointed in my visit to Heims in Weatherford. I decided to take my family out for dinner on a Saturday late afternoon, July 4th 2026. It was around 5:30 pm. There were nine of us and surprisingly there weren't many customers in the restaurant at that time of the afternoon. Because there were nine of us, we chose a long table towards the back of the dining area. My granddaughter went to sit down on the bench style seat, and noticed there were big splashes of barbecue sauce on the seating. I didn't see any host walking around the dining area so I went to the restroom and got some wet paper towels and wipe down the vinyl on the bench seating. I then went around and sat on the upholstered cushion chair of our table. I did not notice the food on the cushion when I sat down however, when I got up, my wife, noticed it because it was all over the back of my shorts. I started looking around the restaurant and noticed several that there were several tables that had not been cleaned up since the last customer left. I also noticed when I was getting the wet paper towel that the bathroom was not very clean. I expect a place where I'm going to sit down and eat food to at least be clean. The bathroom and the dining areas were not very clean and people were not out cleaning and up the tables that still had dirty dishes on them makes me wonder what kind of condition the kitchen is in where my being prepared. The area where you go to get your own iced and so forth was also very dirty. The trash cans were full. I've eaten at when it was in West Fort Worth and it was definitely much better service and cleanliness over there. This was my third trip to the one in Weatherford and it will most likely be my last the food was average, the prices were above average and the cleanliness was terrible and there's no excuse for uncleanliness in a restaurant. In a dining area there should always be at least one person walking around the dining area, making sure that it is sanitary and clean, and the tables are ready. That wasn't the case in this restaurant and there were plenty of employees behind the serving area. I took a picture of the back of my shorts but can't find a way to attach it. The meat was very unseasoned, the beans were the only good thing I ate there besides the slices of store bought bread I put the on. I got 2 RIBS and a side for 18 dollars, and however much brisket they give you, yea it was mostly fat. The brisket was flavorless, the ribs were terrible for the price to amount ratio, they try to give you more fat than meat if you get brisket, and if you try to get the sausage they gave you maybe three 2 inch pieces. If you want good bbq in Weatherford go to bakers they give you quite a bit of meat for about the same price with better flavor, or alternatively if you want a better price of barbecue and don't wanna go to bakers, go get a McRib. read more

They are located where Montana's used to be. They completely redecorated the interior and it looks great. Spacious and clean. As was the mens room. We sat at the bar and enjoyed full service. Beer was cold & I was able to sample whatever I wanted. My wife ordered a sausage plate with 2 sides. Looked great and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was way overpriced for the quality of food. We compare everything BBQ to Terry Blacks and Heim is way inferior. Spring Creek is a chain and it's far better than Heim. It is about half a step above Dickey's, which is awful. Service was not to par either. And this location's ambiance is lacking as well. We will not be back and we also don't expect them to be in business long. Especially with the fact if people are laying down a large amount of money, this food doesn't stack up! read more

Heim's started as trailer operation years ago. Very good food and fair prices. Opened brick/mortar and prices went up as quality and service went down. Now own joints all over N Texas. Food is good. Not GREAT like before. Portions controlled like Siberian prison. Seems calling good old Texas BBQ "craft" doubles it's worth. For $35-40 a pound it's much better meal at Capital Grill , Del Frisco , etc. read more

The service manager (Kimberly) treats her staff like children and likes to play petty games with them. Aside from her poor attitude towards staff members (in front of customers) the food is really good. It was busy and we still got our food in a reasonable amount of time. Please be careful of the service manager Kimberly... I witnessed her be absolutely awful to one of her staff members. Not pleased with how she handled that specific situation. She could have easily pulled her to the side or to the office even and handled it back there. Instead she decided to make a scene like a child. read more
