Debbie has been the mainstay through all the years and is the best. She knows her stuff, listens to the customer, is very fair and reasonable, and is just an extremely nice person. The barber shop is in a good but not great location to find - it's tucked in the Preserve shopping area at the intersection of highway 169 and Anderson Lakes Parkway. Give them a call if you're looking for a very good haircut in a small (3-chair), comfortable barber shop. You'll pay a couple bucks more than you would at Supercuts or whatever other discount place you've been going to, but it's absolutely worth it.

I have also had great stylists in San Francisco who went on to do hair for the movie stars. I have also been to Cole's Salon in Savage, which was fine. Cole's styling is not quite as good as Moxie. I usually go to Moxie to repair bad hair cuts that I have received from other salons near Prior Lake. I live in Prior Lake and Moxie is a hike to get to but worth it. The QiQi is more natural and Moxie stopped doing QiQi because of supply chain issues, so I found Hollywood Hair Studios from the QiQi authorized dealer. Weini, the owner of Hollywood Hair Studios, is the best I have ever had to straighten my hair. Her flat iron skill is amazing. She is a total pro compared to the rest in hair straightening and blows away the competition. I have never had anyone more expert in hair straightening.

He consulted me throughout the cut to make sure I liked what he was doing, and if I wanted anything different. My husband had Rich, and although I didn't get to observe, he says that he had a similar experience with his stylist. The environment is kinda on the loud side, so that may be one of the few downfalls. Parking is also a nightmare, so be prepared to either circle the block 20 times to find a spot that opens, or take an alternative means of transportation to get there. I trust Sindy with my hair, and she is a complete sweetheart. The interior and vibe of the place is very welcoming. The parking situation is not great though, and probably my only complaint. This is my own personal experience with what used to be known as The Barbers and now apparently has…read morethe name 'Custom Trim Barbers'. My experience occurred today, August 2, 2023, which involved an appointment I made for a hair cut for both myself and my husband for today, August 2, 2023, and the time was to be arrive at 11:30am. I explained to the person who took the appointment that I had another appointment at 1:00pm in Bloomington and wanted to make sure I allowed them enough time to do both of us. She assured me that if we were there by 11:30 or a bit earlier we would be just fine as we both have short hair. We arrived on August 2, at approx 11:26am, walked in to an empty shop except for the woman who was working. We sat down and the first thing she said was "Your appointment was 11:45am." I said No, it isn't, as I have it in my calendar on my iPad specifically stating our appointment is at 11:30am. She had my husband sit down and she cut his hair. While she was cutting her hair two men walked in and she asked if they had appointments and the one man said, "Yes, 11:30am." I wondered why they would schedule two appointments for the same time when only one person is working? The other man said, no he didn't and she asked him if he could come back about 12:30, and he left. She finished Dave's hair and the man with the 11:30am appointment went to the chair and I assumed she would do me when she was finished with him. She worked on his cut for about 5-10 minutes and then she said to me, "Your appointment was yesterday and you didn't show up, so I can't do your hair today. I very nicely but firmly told her NO, My appointment was NOT yesterday as I had a class at Allina at 11am and there was NO way I would have scheduled an hair cut for the same time. I use a calendar function with notifications on my iPad and it keeps things straight. Because we had another similar exchange with this same woman 4-5 weeks ago over appointment time I made a very specific note in my calendar that we were to arrive on the 2nd of August a few minutes before 11:30. We walked out after getting my husband and his walker organized and I totally forgot about paying. She followed us outside and after getting him in the car I took care of paying; I had absolutely no thought of not paying, I just had my next appointment on my mind. Two times and that is enough for me. Either she forgets to write down the times when someone calls as she is busy; or she is just a poor business woman, I don't know. I know I will never go back to this shop again. I have never had this type of a problem in my lifetime. I scheduled appointments for physicians, surgeons and specialists for over 20 years using a computer system and happy to say we had no problems like this. Horrible experience. Thank you.
