The following day I signed up, and have attended 3 more classes. Being new to BJJ I was nervous about joining a martial arts gym/academy. The members all went out of the way to introduce themselves and help with any questions I had. The staff are great, and genuinely have an interest in helping you improve. Locker room is constantly filled with negativity in which people very clearly express their fear for this man, yet are too afraid to stand up or say anything about it. Professor Jimmy not only responded quickly but personally-which is a rarity. Unfortunately, he wouldn't be teaching the class I was able to make but he let the instructor teaching know I'd be there. It's hard walking into a new place, even harder when everyone else knows each other so I was pleasantly surprised when Coach Dasha, called me by name, set me up with a waiver form and even let me use a school's uniform. They're just as technical as they are friendly and I liked that the warm up was related to what we were learning. I was lucky enough to get partnered with one of their resident black belts who not only had some moves but was willing to help me learn what he did. Super welcoming, loved the class structure and everyone there rolled hard but were still so easygoing.

I was an amateur MMA fighter and a blue belt in BJJ, and I wanted to find a place that I could continue to train BJJ and MMA and progress as a fighter. I did a ton of research to find a gym that could help me reach my goals and Triumph BJJ seemed to be the best fit. They had lots of good fighters that were competing and winning so I figured they had to be doing something right, so I ended up joining and I am glad I did. I have been training here since then, about 2 and a half years ago. Their Schedule can't be beat offering high level training in BJJ 7 days a week and Striking (Boxing or Muay Thai) most days of the week and led by quality instructors. Also, they just moved into a giant brand new facility with massive amounts of mats space, a full sized mma cage and brand new heavy bags and striking equipment. The classes range from fundamental to high paced competition classes, and there is a wide variety of students with many higher belts on the mats each night and also plenty of white belts. So whether you're already experienced or brand new you will fit right in. Overall I must say the first day was the last time I'd attend a normal gym primarily. I take the adult Muay Thai classes and I'll say right now, all those years of hurt, sadness, and anger were all gone with the first punch, and it makes you want to come back again and again!
