Knowing i was long overdue for a cleaning, and in desperate need of an extraction, finding Gentle Dental was a miracle! $57 for a consultation, exam, xrays, and cleaning was definitely within my budget. I had let a molar cavity go too far due to the expense. At this point, i was losing sleep most nights due to sharp pain in my jaw. When i was seen Wednesday night, Dr. Ziegler offered to remove the tooth that night which was sadly out of my budget. I was able to come back Friday afternoon for the extraction so i could have the long weekend to rest before work. Elizabeth, working at the front desk, also explained the different payment plans lile the Care Credit card as well as Essential Dental insurance, both right up my alley! I've been through this process twice (losing back molars to tooth decay) and was most apprehensive about the shots and time it would take. The extraction was the most pain free and quickest I've had to endure (about 40 minutes from when i walked in to walking out) Darlene,Elizabeth, and Dr. Ziegler treated me so kindly, and most importantly, like a person, not just an object or money walking in the door as i have experienced elsewhere. They were able to work around my work hours to fit me in for the exam and extraction 2 days later. Confidently, i can say i will definitely be returning for future dental work i still need done (including a root canal). I felt comfortable and included in my treatment. Last weekend on the 17th my daughter had to be seen as an emergency visit. She broke one of her teeth. Called around and your location was the only one that could make time to see us. When we arrived we were greeted with a very helpful front desk staff person who was knowledgeable and friendly. But that was only the beginning of our Excellent experience. Next was the dental assistant. I feel terrible for forgetting her name but she hands down had the kindest and most beautiful soul i've ever come across. She was amazing with my kids. She kept them entertained while doing her job. Best experience to date of any dental or doctor visit we've ever had. Next was the Doctor who pulled her tooth. Thank you for the wonderful experience. My daughter is 9 and was so comfortable she asked if Myself and my son would go wait in the waiting room while her tooth was being pulled. Last but not least was the woman who called us today to check up on my daughter after the visit. Very nice and genuinely caring. Very appreciate. Hats off to an Amazing staff. I had a dental emergency and found Gentle Dental because they were open on Saturdays. They got me right in and from the minute I walked in, I felt comfortable. Dr Ziegler is THE BEST dentist that I have had since I moved to New England from Washington State in 2013. I tried at least 4 other places like Southcoast Smiles (hated it - I was practically anonymous to them and they gave me a terrible, ill fitting crown), as well as 3 other private dentists. Anyway - Dr Ziegler and his amazing staff made me feel special. I was treated very well. I went back today to get an extraction and I am now PAIN FREE. I'm singing his praises because I feel so good now but also because I need to be able to trust a dentist. People poking around in your mouth is a source of anxiety. I had been looking for a new dentist and ended up needing an urgent surgical procedure and Gentle Dental in Seekonk Mass. came highly recommended through a friend of a friend & they Did not disappoint. Yesterday I took my 88 year old mother to Gentle Dental for an extraction which her dentist of 20+ years could not perform. We chose GD instead of the recommended oral surgeon. Not only did Dr Ziegler detect an infection from her X-ray which had been missed during my mom's regular dentist appt 3 weeks prior but he expertise in performing the extraction perfectly and quickly made a huge difference to my very stressed mother. His patience, sense of humor, time dedicated to pre-procedure needs, and skill were outstanding. He has an excellent assisting staff as well and provided everything my mom needed. It was impressive. This is the first review I'm writing for yelp. I had put off going the dentist for about 3-4 years because of past experiences. While I've always felt on edge and anxious during appointments in the past, the staff here made me feel so comfortable. They patiently listened to all my concerns and were very thorough in explaining my oral health, even going the extra mile to have me view my ex-rays while going through all of them with me. I was so relaxed I even almost fell asleep while the hygienist was cleaning my teeth. I'm literally surprised that I just had a dental experience that wasn't horrible. Utterly shocked. I had not seen the dentist for many, many, many years. Mostly because of fear from previous bad experiences as a child and general embarrassment of how bad I allowed my teeth to get.
