They do a great job at pairing dogs so that they all get along and also learn from each other. We were concerned about how things would go but were very impressed from the moment we first contacted Crate Escape. We initially brought Cookie to the Charlestown location which has lots of big dogs and, because that's how big dogs have fun, can be a bit boisterous at times. The excellent staff there told us they thought the Huron Ave location would be a better situation for Cookie. They were right. They did a thorough screen to ensure the environment would be safe for both Cookie and other dogs, and helped us ease her in, initially dropping her off for only a couple of hours at a time on less busy days so she'd have time to acclimate. Two years later and she's staying the entire day twice a week and she *LOVES* it. It's like her puppy play date which she returns from exhausted but happy every single time. The staff are absolutely incredible, and we are sincerely grateful to them as they have improved our pup's quality of life substantially. Obviously, all puppy all the time would be every dog owner's dream, but if that's not possible and you have to work to pay the bills and keep them in kibble, you really can't go wrong with Crate Escape!

Our cat loves her - Adriane comes by the apartment once a day to feed him, clean his litter and play with him, and always sends us pictures and emails to let us know he's doing okay while we're gone. Adriane's very knowledgeable about animals and has had great recommendations for any pet issues we've experienced (hair balls, wolfing down food, etc) and it's clear that she loves animals very much. Working with Adriane has been very easy - we communicate over email, she's happy to come by the apartment to pick up/drop off our keys before/after our trips, and has been available every time we've needed a cat sitter. Her daily rate is very reasonable as well! We're moving out of Cambridge in a few weeks and one of the things we'll miss the most is having Adriane to take care of our cat. BEWARE OF SCAM!!…read more Boston Dog Walks is a dangerous organization. We were so sad when our favorite dog walker went on to another business but felt relieved to have found BDW. However, on multiple occasions (due to my job), I happened to be home during our dog's regularly scheduled walks. And each time, NO ONE CAME! How long had we been paying these people who pretended to be walking our dog while collecting their weekly checks?! If only dogs could talk ... We had an agreement when we hired them that they would leave a note, indicating the time that they came, and at least 5 times, they "forgot" to leave a note. The final straw came when I stopped home mid-morning to find a note alleging that our dog had been walked at "12:20 pm." It wasn't even 11 AM!!!! When we fired BDW and demanded to have our keys back, Rachael (the owner) proceeded to tell us that our expensive, non-replicable keys to our building AND apartment were lost! A few days later, she corrected herself and said she realized that they were "broken," so we didn't need to worry. Needless to say, I changed the locks. The person who referred us to this organization has said that he has heard from multiple persons complaints such as ours, so I felt compelled to spread the word.
