I am not one to write negative reviews, I usually keep it positive. Today is different. I want people to be aware of this lady and what she's doing because apparently I am not the only one. In April of 2019, opted for a photo session with a Colorado based photographer by the name of Tiara Wilson of Gentle Rose Photography. Initially when expressing my interest Tiara was very responsive, and immediately answered my questions as well as collected my payment. After receiving my payment, communication wore thin and she was not responding to me in a timely manner. I feel like Tiara scammed me. She took my money, showed up for a "session" and left it at that. I could have invested my money into an honest photographer. Or better yet, use it towards my household of 7! She is unorganized, lacks in communication and does not follow through on what is promised. However she WILL take your money IMMEDIATELY when you opt in for a session. BUYER BEWARE!!!! She will even delete comments or turn comments and reviews OFF on her group page from time to time to avoid people knowing of her terrible ways of conducting business. Here's my story. I jumped in for a 15 minute mini session that included all images for $150. Payment was sent through Venmo on April 18, 2019. Our session was scheduled for June. We did reschedule twice due to weather (which is understandable) but rescheduling was such a hassle because she didn't respond in a timely manner in fact, on June 22, weather predicted rain. I Messaged tiara and was told she wouldn't say for sure about the session until 12PM. She didn't message me until 1:20PM saying she was in the movies and sorry for not messaging. Then AGAIN, She never replied after that until about 3:30. Which was already stressing me out with 5 kids to get ready, myself, my husband and the drive to the location. It was also my husbands birthday which I made tiara aware of when she was not responding. Again, we ended up rescheduling but she did not set a date. I sent messages a few times and didn't get any response until JULY 11!!! When she finally answered, we ended up scheduling for the 21st. She didn't send me any confirmation although she posted on Facebook that she did. So messaged her AGAIN. She then sent me the LONGEST LIST OF DO's and DONTS ever. We showed up to our shoot on time. Our scheduled session was for 7pm. She didn't take us until 7:45 and was very precise about time being only 15 minutes. In Tiaras photography group she made it very clear that images will take 21 days. I waited past the 21 days and finally messaged her. She claimed her camera and SD card was damaged and it needed to get special recovery. Almost everyone's images except mine wasn't recovered. She claimed she would be picking up the card on August 27 and edited my photos promptly. At this point I was upset. She should have told me prior. Again communication failed. I messaged her a few times in the days to come about when I should be expecting my gallery, but she never answered any of my messages afterwards. I finally texted her that I wanted a refund. She only then answered and said she hasn't been on Facebook lately (but somehow there are posts from her in the group) she said she'd delete my photos and issue a refund. I still haven't gotten my refund OR any photos. I highly recommend finding another photographer, and doing research prior to paying. Tiara Wilson wasted my time, energy and took my money. Don't waste your time hiring this woman who has a terrible way of conducting business. read more

Same experience as everyone. We picked a date before I paid for the session but then she stopped responding. She then told me I had to come up to Denver from CS during the week because she saves weekends for people that pay full price. I had paid for one of her flash sale sessions. I had all the emails showing that she agreed to a certain date and asked for a refund. She told me it wasn't a good time for her to give me a refund because it was tax time. I went ahead and made a dispute with my bank and won. USAA got my money back in a week. read more

Why isn't zero stars an option? Tiara is the least professional person I have ever attempted to deal with. I had no other choice but to cancel my maternity session at the last second because she (despite making you agree on a LONG list of policies) doesn't follow through on ANYTHING. There is no communication for weeks or months and she doesn't respond to messages even when she says she will. When I reached out asking to cancel because now she has a sick kid, you get excuse after excuse and the blame for no email was blamed on a former assistant (who was a really friendly person to deal with, let me tell you) and also me because apparently she can't read a comment in her facebook group or find an email? Yelp says this is closed but it's not. She's in WAY over her head and has no idea how to treat a potential client - she's great and chatty UNTIL you send her your money. read more

As others have said it is very difficult to communicate with her, especially once she has your money. We had a session get rained out and we're unable to reschedule a new session right away due to both schedules. She was accommodating and said we could reschedule in a few months. A few months come around and it turns out she moved from San Antonio back to Colorado. After several unanswered Facebook messages (both business and personal accounts) we had figured out what happened and said we just wanted our money back, she replied and agreed to a full refund. It is now nearly six months later and we still have yet to see our refund after daily requests. After reading some of the reviews here we see that we are not alone. Save your money! I purchased several flash sales through Tiara last year. Her communication is terrible, she would often not respond at all to emails or messages. Meanwhile, she spends all day on Facebook posting continuously, often complaining about her clients. She offers flash sales, but then she has WAY too many clients and not enough time to get them scheduled. We ended up asking for a refund, and she offered us 80% and then never sent it. We had to go through our credit card company for a refund. Yelp says this location is closed, but I can verify she is still at it, posting flash sale after flash sale. My advice, if it seems too good to be true, it definitely is. The $25 sales are not worth your hassle or effort, find someone else. read more

I bought a $50 session in Jan 2017 while on our way to move to Colorado from living overseas, before I had ever met her or knew Tiara. My session has never been completed. She never followed up with me as a paying client EVER about it. I remember asking about it a handful of times but she was always too busy or would put it off. We became friends and I've heard her talk crap about her clients non stop, like others say she does in her group and on FB. Needless to say our friendship didn't last long. I agree with everyone else, her professionalism is horrible and her work is mediocre. read more

I'm apart of Tiara's photography group on Facebook. A few months back she said she would be offering refunds for any unused sessions and to PM her about it. It's been over 2 months since the very first time I sent her a message. Multiple messages to follow that first one as well as she has posted in her group to PM her and she will respond. Over 2 months later, still no response. Comments are always turned off on her posts and she has to approve a post before its posted to the group so I really have no other way of getting in touch. I do not recommend that anyone use Tiara Wilson or her company Gentle Rose Portraiture. I booked a holiday mini session with Tiara and her partner Lindsay Tullar and long story short they failed to provide anything that I paid for. My 30min session was double booked, with a second family in the space at the same time as mine. Photos were delivered later than promised, and when I requested the non-watermarked photos via multiple emails, my emails were ignored. I needed the photos before leaving out of town, and when I suggested I'd be contacting the BBB unless photos were provided, Tiara decided to not provide them at all and just refund my money. Which is NOT what I asked for or needed. So, a four week process, totally unacceptable lack of professionalism and no photos!! I'm so upset. read more

Definitely my go to photographers. I have always booked Tiara for all of my special occasions. She has the brightest ideas when it comes to photography sessions. Update from my review posted on 01/03/2019. Tiara contacted me to offer to refund me along with providing a few photos from our shoot as a good faith gesture. I told her to do whatever she thought was necessary to make things right with an upset customer. To date I have not received either my refund or any pictures that she has offered. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND PEOPLE THINKING ABOUT USING HER BECAUSE OF HER GREAT SALES TO GO ELSE WHERE. It would be a waste of your money and time. read more

We absolutely love using Gentle Rose Photography. She is one of the sweetest gals there is. My husband is a contractor and I work in the emergency room, in Castle Rock. Our schedules are so limited and she was very accommodating and got us in right away with the fastest turn around time of 2.5 weeks. I don't know why it took us this long to give this review (the last time we used Tiara was a year ago, and never again). My wife was at a mom's group breakfast this morning and five of the other nine mothers all had similar, terrible experiences so it inspired me to write. Tiara is a good photographer--but those are a dime a dozen, really--and a terrible business owner. She is habitually disorganized, late for sessions due to overbooking and wastes so much of your time in session gabbing about her personal issues that the shoot takes twice as long as it should. She also insisted upon her full fee up front after we had already provided a deposit to hold the time slot and claimed that was the reason she hadn't shown up yet. Our last batch of photo files were delivered to us way later than promised and Tiara she refused over and over to accept any of the blame. In fact, she was so rude over the phone when we were asking for an explanation and rushed us off the phone because she was already late for another shoot. We were using them for Christmas cards and had to pay $100 extra to have the company address and mail them so they would be sent out on time. If I had the energy I would have insisted she pay us back for it but I was just happy not to have to communicate with her any longer. Her rates are way lower than any good photographers you'll find in Denver and there is a reason: when things appear too good to be true, they always are. Stay far away! read more

If I could give her a zero. I absolutely would. She has taken so many peoples money and then just shut down her business and is saying she will refund the money but she's not. I have contacted her several times and she would go days without answering when I know she was on the phone and posting on social media. All I wanted was my money back but she would keep giving me a run around. I'm not the only person that is currently doing this too as several people have contacted me about it but I did contact my back for fraud and they have her name and business name and will be taken to court. Even though she's moving when she says she isn't and I have proof. She's a liar and absolutely terrible at running a business. Why is this person still in business?? I waited forever to write this review, it's time to tell my story. Tiara is the worst photographer in Colorado. Like everyone stated before her communication is good until you send her the money. I had purchased a fresh 48 session so she could come to the hospital and take my sons newborn pictures. As soon as I gave birth to my son I decided to do in home session instead due to my son having some complications. My parents came all the way from New Jersey so I really wanted them to be included in our family photos. Tiara made it extremely difficult to schedule which was extremely frustrating. After a lot of back and forth with her she had her "assistant" come to my house and take our photos. I was supposed to receive the gallery within 21 "business" days so I waited even longer to ask her where my pictures were just to give her more time. Here comes the headaches, I kept messaging her and she would either ignore me or tell me some lies until I had enough. I messaged her "assistant" and eventually I got my pictures. Why do I need to deal with the bs when I paid her to do her JOB. Then after I finally got my pictures I kept messaging her because I wanted my other two sessions to be refunded. She told me she couldn't refund me my money but that I could sell my sessions to people in her group. I tried and tried to post but every time I would she would delete me comments (annoying and immature). After not being able to sell my sessions I messaged her to let her know that I was going to post my experience with her all over the fort Carson pages. As soon as I mentioned that she got on it and made sure to tag me whenever someone was interested in buying a session. Someone eventually purchased my sessions at a "discounted" price and I FINALLY GOT RID OF THE WORST HEADACHE I've EVER had to deal with! Super annoying, please stay away from this woman. She doesn't know how to be professional. -person I sold one of my sessions to was posting the session she purchased from my on a Carson auction page. Ever time I talk to her she give me a date on when I'll get my money then something magically comes up where her money is gone and can't help at all! I would not recommend using Tiara Wilson & Gentle Rose Photography. I was in the market for family lifestyle photos with our newborn baby. I spoke to Tiara & paid her $180 upfront for her photography services. I decided on a "fresh 48" session instead because her photos were so beautiful. Unfortunately I had complications during delivery & my daughter had medical issues so the fresh 48 was out. I let Tiara know that I needed to reschedule & she made it seem totally doable. When it came time to reschedule it was impossible. Tiara either wouldn't respond or would say things like oh we will figure something out but never actually figured something out. My daughter is now THREE MONTHS old and I'm out $$$ but more importantly I'm out the precious photos of our family. This is my last baby that I struggled to conceive for years and I don't have newborn photos of her. I have cried over this many times. Tiara is constantly promoting "sales" & "specials" but can't even take care of clients who have already given her money. If you do book with her make sure you ask how she does her scheduling. You have to request three of her available dates, she chooses one of the dates & then she will confirm with you 72 hours ahead of time. It's all a joke. read more

I have attempted to contact Tiara on several occasions via email and her Facebook page. I purchased a session in July and have attempted to schedule and book appointments with her which is impossible. I love supporting local businesses! Her page grew from a few people to over 9,00. She cannot keep up with her business and has recruited several assistants which is also impossible to get a hold of. She is always posting about miscellaneous things and how she's tired of people bashing her yet she doesn't deliver the customer service back. I have been polite, and professional. At this point I'dike my money back and am having a hard time receiving a response. Would NOT recommend this business.....just as others have stated. read more

This is by far, the absolute worst person when it comes to service. And by that I mean she literally is always busy somehow and can never give you an answer. It's as if the money you gave her to take photos wasn't enough she also steals yOur time. We were promised 2 weeks time and it's now a month a half late and still no photos. I would give zero stars if it would let me. This is one of the worst business deals I have ever been involved in. I bought a flash sale maternity session from Tiara who was very accommodating to answer questions quickly when I was interested in purchasing a package. As soon as she had the money in full she was extremely difficult to communicate with. It took several times of me reaching out to her before she would respond. I was told she had February openings and was making appointments the next day. I couldn't reach her to set a date until most of her February was full. When I eventually was able to connect with her again she told me she doesn't do weekend sessions anymore. At our Friday night session, which she was 15 minutes late to, she talked about her photo shoot for the next day, a Saturday?!?! Unfortunately she is dishonest and very unorganized. Our contract had all the details wrong and overall it was a terrible experience. Not what you want when you are trying to document your pregnancy. I don't know why I was surprised when I received my photos when they were the worst photos I have ever had taken in my life! It didn't help that I had been at school all day as a teacher with very little time to refresh my look after a long exhausting week of work. Take a look for yourself. The first photo is one my sister in law, who is not a photographer took and one that shows more accurately what I look like. The other two are professional photos, edited and put into my album! Honestly I was so excited to work with this photographer based on photos I had seen. But I was left with utter disappointment, a horrible experience and horrible fake over edited pictures that I have take and edited better than what I received. When approached about these issues it was excuse after excuse on my experience and photos. She takes on too much and doesnt know how to take on less and actually give quality for the amount she charges. I do not reccomend this photographer. And definetly not for children. There was nothing child friendly about how she treated my kids. read more

We used Tiara for our maternity and fresh 48 pictures when my son was born in 2017 and had an awesome experience then. We decided to use her again for a family session when my son was 2 and had an absolutely horrible experience! The pictures were taken on October 6, 2019. It is now April 4, 2020 and I still never received them. I have contacted her many times about trying to get the pictures and have never received a date on when they would be sent or a solid answer on why. The last time I messaged her was probably two months ago and never got a response. I am not one to usually complain and I let things go, but that was the only time we ever had family pictures taken (aside from when he was a newborn) and we never got them. As a mother herself she should understand how important it is to have milestone pictures of your child, and she robbed me of that experience. STAY AWAY!!!!! Can I give 0 stars? Tiara was very quick to take my money. After she had my money she would not respond. I would have to reach out multiple times via email (which she supposedly only checks 7pm-10pm on tues/thurs) and both her business and personal Facebook page and would only get a response every 2 weeks (not exaggerating). Half the time she would read my messages on FB and just not respond but would constantly post trying to get people to buy more sessions. I paid her at the very beginning of May and had been trying to schedule until mid July until I gave up and demanded a refund. She takes people's money and hopes they will just take the loss because she is a pain in the ass to communicate with. She is very unprofessional. Multiple girls from her page got together in discussion because we were all having trouble scheduling and she was doing this to EVERYONE. Luckily we were all able to get our money back (this still took some arguing and a couple days of back and forth). PLEASE DONT GIVE THIS LADY YOUR MONEY!!!!! I wish I could give her NO stars! Tiara Wilson is horrible and so is her bogus company Gentle Rose Photography. She is horrendous to work with! DON'T waste your time or money with her! First of all, like everyone else said Tiara is super responsive when you are trying to book, or when she needs you to pay an invoice. After she has your money she disappears. Also, don't be tricked into her "flash sales", they aren't worth it. It's impossible to schedule a session and she will cancel and reschedule for anything and everything. She posts daily on her Facebook 10-20 times, but when you ask where your pictures are her internet is suddenly not working. Interesting? She complains about her "clients" and how rude and inconsiderate they are on her Facebook page, about how they need to understand she has a toddler and her husband works. That's fine, that is life, but something happens to her all day every day that she needs to not be doing her work for. She is running a business she should have pride it taking care of those people not just getting money. It makes sense why she posts about angry people, because she is the WORST business owner. Her camera broke so she ran a flash sale to pay for it. She will post 10 flash sales on Facebook but ignore your messages. It's 2018... we all know you can see the notifications and we all know you are ignoring us. You basically have to kiss her ass until you get your pictures or you won't get them. I waited the 21 business days and on the 21st day I messaged her. She replied that it wasn't 21 business days. I keep messaging her and her response was "all galleries were sent out". Okay... so I didn't get mine so where are they? I followed up on Facebook messenger and email every day for a week after I was supposed to get them back. She told me she sent them twice, did I have an alternate email. It was all bull. She is HORRIBLE at communicating with you and she is SOOOOO rude! Terrible customer service! I don't understand how some people have a good review on her! Maybe she picks and chooses who she likes. I think it absolutely ridiculous to have to beg someone to get something they paid for. I was supposed to get 36 pictures back, but only got 23. It's not even worth contacting her because she will probably ignore me anyways. Save your money and go somewhere else. She half asses the pictures. They were "meh". Not worth the hassle and stress of trying to beg for your pictures. read more

Paid for two photo shoots last year for a flash sale she had, the first photo shoot seemed to go well, she was friendly but super obsessed with not going over the time. Was told we would get previews in a week, but got nothing. Was told I would get the full gallery in 3 weeks and it took over a month. Meanwhile she was posting pictures from shoots the did after ours. I messaged her to ask where my late photos were and she blocked me! So after over a month we finally got out pictures and she kept my money from the second photo shoot that I had already paid for. Seems to take on more than she can handle and gets upset when people expect her to stick to her word. Just not a good business model. Photos were okay, nothing exciting. Definitely wouldn't pay her full price. I decided to post this now because I was trying to message her Facebook page again and seen a post from her telling people "messaging me asking for your pictures to be done will not speed up the process" so clearly she hasn't changed, I felt the need to warn people! Seems good from the start until you expect her to stick to her word. Lol read more
