I'm new patient (although have been seen several times for various procedures) and I absolutely LOVE working with the Gentle Touch staff. Everyone is extremely friendly and they take the time to answer my questions and work with me when I'm feeling nervous or experiencing oral discomfort. It's been awhile but I would NEVER go back! I was told 2 years ago by this place that I had several cavities one of which was really bad and should be taken care of soon. Well...my insurance was running out and I didn't have the money to pay for it. It seemed strange to me since I've NEVER had cavities before. Well time went on and I didn't feel anything different or wrong. 2 YEARS later I was checked by another local dentist who by this point I already trusted because she took such great care of my kids after a nightmare experience at KOOLSMiLES. Well, turns out I NEVER had ANY cavities much less a really bad one!!! The hygienist was rough and awful the dentist didn't know what they were talking about. They're just out to milk your insurance and do unnecessary work! STAY FAR AWAY. read more

My son asked if they were in his "network" he was told yes and paid his money. A couple months later he gets a notice that he owes $500+ because he is "out of the network." I brought this up to a couple of people and was told of another person this happened to. Just on a side note: The TV in the waiting room is CRT. Not sure if that has anything to do with how update they keep their equipment. read more

Gentle Touch has a wonderful staff and the two dentists do a great job on your teeth. I've been going to them since I moved to Harker Heights TX and will continue. I could have gone to any dental office, because they are almost on every corner, but I'm glad I choose them. The office will also get in touch with your insurance company to see what your out of pocket cost is before any work is performed. WORST DENTAL OFFICE EVER I was hoping to not give any stars, but I had to, so I gave 1. The dentist was completely self-absorbed and chatted on a personal call while I waited for twenty minutes. When I told her I had to leave to pick up my child from school, she told me I should have made plans to be at the dentist for the whole day because she was busy and that was how it was. I walked out and she threatened me that I couldn't go. What??? I had a good cleaning there, but I WOULD NEVER, EVER GO TO THIS PLACE, and I would never recommend it. Run far, far away!! Worst dentist I have ever been to the male dentist was extremely rough and I went in for a simple cavity fill which was originally only supposed to cost $25 on the high end of the quote but I ended up paying $50 cuz they said it was bigger than what they originally thought. While doing the the filling there was an extremely painful moment where it felt as if he'd gone to deep and I actually yelled out that it hurt. He and the assistant were both looking at it as if something had happened but when I asked they said everything was fine. After I went home I experience pain for weeks and was taking ibuprofen Around the Clock. Come to find out he had gone too deep and struck a nerve on my tooth which began to cause severe pain and I had to get prescribed Tylenol 3 and penicillin and ibuprofen and I had to pay for all of it. He is not trying to admit that he is the reason I am needing a root canal now and I'm having to pay for it. I went back for an RPG which I guess is where they clean out your tooth so the next appointment you could start the actual root canal but even that was extremely painful and left me in tears in my seat as they continued working. He never acknowledged that he hurts me or said sorry or anything. Nobody told me that I would have to be paying for any of the work that they would be doing for the root canal but when I left they stopped me and said that I was supposed to pay even though it was his fault. So now I have to pay for a root canal just because he was rushing with me and tried to cover up his Dirty Work with the filling when he knew that he went too deep on my cavity. It sucks because I actually used to like this place until they gave me to the male dentist that works here never come here they are ripoffs!!!! read more

My first trip was a general checkup and cleaning and the hygienist was great. Upon my return to have my fillings done, Dr. Olson was very friendly but very inefficient. After I left I noticed my tooth had gouges in it so I did what anyone would do; I went back and demanded that they fix it. Dr. Olson did spend some time with me attempting to fix my tooth by grinding it down. My time is also valuable, so I asked that I be compensated, and they acted shocked to hear me ask for a partial refund. Later, I received a letter stating that Dr. Olson would no longer serve as my dentist, (like I was going back to see him anyway.) We live in a world where the customer is no longer right and when you make a mistake you just ignore it and hope it goes away. You messed up Dr. Ryan Olson, your letter should have been an apology and you should be begging me to give you a second chance to prove yourself worthy of being my dentist. read more

What an oxymoron? I went to Gentle Touch Dentistry after having some periodontal surgery by a previous doctor. A quick diagnosis of two root canals needed and some cavities filled. The 1st trip to start the procedure required two hour visit in which half the time was spent waiting as the doctor worked in the next booth. He had been in several times asking if I was numb yet. Each time I told him no. A small shot of something and he started to work. The pain was so excruciating that I screamed "that hurt damit" I had told him no less than 5 times during the procedure that I was not numb. He appeared irritated that I told him that I was not numb. I prayed that the procedure would end soon before I hurt myself moving with a drill in my mouth. I thought that this was just an unusual circumstance, maybe I did not explain enough that the recent procedures required a lot of anesthesia and several booster shots during the procedure. I had three more trips to complete the procedure of the rood canal. The second trip was more of the same. Before he started, I made sure he understood that I had just had periodontal surgery and it took 7-8 shots or more to get me numb. He started with the usual two or three injections, asked if I had breakfast no less than three times, this worried me because he could not remember what he had just been told. More of the same unbearable pain as he drilled and probed. Once again, the pain got so bad that I thought I would pass out before he finished. Prayed that the procedure would finish soon. Postponed this visit today (06-19-17) for an extra week. Went back, got a shot straight back in between upper and lower jaw bone. I have had the same shot no less than three times this year with no problem. He asked the assistant for a longer needle. Said little pinch, two or three squirts, then start probing until he hit the nerve. I came up out of the chair. In his most sarcastic tone, "you feel that, you feel that, what did it feel like" it was almost as if he derived some sort of pleasure from this. He said did it feel like lightening? He went to the next booth and started working on another patient. I remained in the chair for a few minutes, then I got up and went to the front desk and demanded my $430.00 back. I feel this was best for all concerned. Contacted my old dentist in Georgetown and will drive the 45 minutes before I subject myself to this kind of treatment again. Wish I had read some of the reviews before seeing these people. I suffered more pain in two visits than with all my other dentist combined. I thought military dentist were bad, but they are great compared to these people. when you drive by this location, there are two other dentist offices and their parking lots are full and this place has usually 3-4 cars. Let this be your warning sign to keep on going. The few good rating they have must be relatives or someone they paid to post it. read more
