If I am unhappy with the new one, I will go to Costa Rica and have dental implants put in for 70% less than what is being charged here. I can go there and have a full set of implants done for $7,000.00 compared to $90,000.00 that is being charged here in the States.

When I was finally able to get a cleaning, the hygienist Dawn never took the information that I provided her to update my file and she cleaned only a small portion of my mouth that took 10 minutes. I was told they would submit claim and I would get money back once released from insurance. They finally submitted the claim six months later, in June, sun life has stated that they issued checks and because they checked box 37 and put their address in, the payment was going to the dentist instead of me. I still have no payment back from them. Very shady operation. My insurance stated is all they had to do was put send payment direct to member. So now I double paid since they apparently kept my money. I'm sure I'm annoying them with my calls but they are horrible at communication. Would never go back or recommend.

After several days of no improvement in my pain levels, my dentist referred me to Dr. Affenito's office. When I initially called, they said they were very busy and weren't sure how soon they'd be able to help, but when I explained the situation fully the receptionist said, "Come right on down...we'll figure something out!" Headed straight there, met with the doc, scheduled a tooth extraction for the next day after my antibiotics had one more day to kick in. Dr. Affenito had to reschedule another appointment to fit me in. The procedure the next day was painless and quick. Dr. Affenito always kept me informed about everything he was doing, and always consulted me when a decision had to be made so that I could be a part of the decision making process. The doctor and his entire staff were so extremely kind at each step along the way. There were many calls and faxes required between my regular dentist, my OB and Dr. Affenito's office, and there was even a glitch with my insurance, which caused them to be on the phone for about an hour extra. No one even hinted at being inconvenienced by any of that. Their primary concern was always how I was doing/feeling. It is a small practice, and you can tell that everyone there genuinely cares about the comfort and well-being of the patient.

Not only was the oral surgeon there the most genuine, nicest, most caring and seemingly educated dentist/surgeon I have ever went to..... but I also hit dead stop traffic on the way to my hour and a half drive to get there from where I live. I would have never expected them to wait, even though I was an hour out at this point, BUT THEY DID!!!! I couldn't find a spot and they showed me where to park and let me go move my car so I did not get it towed. The treatment they gave me was far beyond anything I would have ever expected considering I know doctors/dentists have to follow certain protocols. They genuinely cared. I've been there several times before, I'm sure they could see I was not late any of those times!!! Unfortunately traffic does happen, but I've had to cancel a couple appointments due to it over the years. They did an amazing job and now I am waiting for a call back to finish the rest of my root canal process.
