Needed multiple plumbing repairs and Genuine Plumbing & Rooter came through for me, and on a weekend no less. Found this business on yelp and setting up an appointment was a breeze. Was able to share my issues over the phone and before even seeing my appliances / the work to be done they came prepared with their own replacement parts and tools. The gentlemen that worked on my repairs were Clinton and Cayden. Two young professionals. I was impressed that they were right on time for the appointment. Very friendly, kind and professional. They handled everything with care and explained to me exactly what needed to be done. They were mindful and wore booties over their shoes in the house without me even making a comment. They were able to fix a leak in one of my showers and replace two corroded nozzles in my laundry area. Again I was impressed that 1. They assessed what needed to be fixed quickly, 2. Took care in explaining what needed to be done, 3. Had replacement pieces already on hand, and 4. Accomplished all of my repairs in about an hour. It's funny because another worker guy was actually at my house when they came and he even he was impressed with how timely this duo was. What really sealed the deal in me giving them five stars is they were a very understanding of our financial limitations to do all of the work that they suggested and without being pushy or sticking to their initial quote, they were able to be flexible and make some adjustments on how they handled the repairs to get the cost down. Yes that means they didn't do the repairs 100% as the felt I needed/recommended but they also worked with me to cut some repairs that were not an immediate need to keep the price point reasonable so that I could at least get some of the work done this day. A lot of places wouldn't give you any flexibility or would hound you to maintain their price point but these guys are very reasonable and I would 100% use them again in the future. Genuine Plumbing has been our plumber of choice for the last couple of years. They are always responsive, very professional, extremely knowledgeable and efficient, very honest, and overall a great company with great employees. One of the biggest jobs they did for us about a year or so ago was replacing our extremely old water heater (30+ years). Prior to installation, they answered all my questions about proper maintenance, conventional water heaters versus tankless and other options, etc. allowing me to make the best decision for our household. Today, they quickly fixed a leaking toilet (which only just started leaking last night), replaced our extremely old garbage disposal (30+ years) which was slowly getting worse over the last a couple of weeks, and replaced the corroded pipe for the hot water under our kitchen sink - they had pointed it out to me before during a previous job, but I opted to wait back then. Today, I asked them to replace the corroded pipe to avoid the leaks (and ensuing water damage) that would now likely happen in the next couple of months since I didn't take care of it back then. I appreciate that they always show me where the issue is so I can see it for myself, explain the best course of action in addition to other possible options, bring all the necessary equipment (probably because we discuss all the issues during our initial service call), cover and protect any household fixtures where they are working and then clean up the work area afterwards, and answer all my questions (including the crazy ones I ask). Wow, I can't believe how great this plumber is and how quickly they fixed our problem. I read all the reviews before I called Clint and was surprised there was not one bad one among them. Now I see why. We had a plumber come out and snake our drain the week before Clint came out, which did nothing and charged me $135 for that. Clint came over and went under the house (raised foundation) to check the problem. He came back out with a video of what was going on under there, which was a leak in the pipes way on the other side of the house from the crawl space and was shooting water into our furnace too. He fixed that problem so quickly I couldn't believe it was done. He also provided an estimate with a cash price and credit price. The cash price included a nice discount and we were happy to pay it since he had his guys replace all the piping in our kitchen sink and washer area. My husband was home during the repairs and he said the guys were super nice and professional, and cleaned up after the repairs. No add-on selling or "you had better get that other thing fixed or else" warnings. Just great work. My water heater was on its last legs so I figured I wouldn't wait for a flood. I got visits and bids from two other companies. Both were surprisingly expensive and wanted me to install a water heater that I felt was overkill. There are only two of us in this house and the bathrooms are less than 30' from the water heater. All I needed was to replace my 40-gallon with something reasonable. I spoke with Clint and got a bid online. I took pictures of my current unit and the surroundings and Clint sent an estimate in less than a half-hour. It was a reasonable estimate, especially compared to the others I had received - i.e., much less expensive. Clint arrived on the agreed time and got straight to work. He had even set up the water heater the night before to speed the installation which only took about 2.5 hours. Clint was professional, wore a mask, worked clean and didn't leave any mess. My toilets, sinks and tubs were not working and backing up on a Sunday. Called Genuine and they came right over but quoted $1900 to snake and pressure wash the pipes. After negotiating that ridiculous price down to $750, they did the job. When I tested all the toilets, sinks and tubs, one tub was still clogged. Since I had already paid them, the plumber refused to correct the problem without more payment. I sent him packing and will hire an honorable outfit to fix the problem. read more
