We recently had to call in warranty service on a water heater that was really old and making loud noises. They came and inspected and determined it needed to be replaced. The guy that came (Clint jr) for the initial inspection was very polite and professional and explained what was going to happen. Within a day or so they called me back to schedule the replacement install and they came back and took care it. Again, very polite and professional, they arrived on time, got it done in the time they said and did a very clean job installing our new water heater. Although we had no say in choosing the plumbing company (warranty company sent them) I will definitely be using them in the future for any of my plumbing needs. Unfortunately, I have to report an inferior experience that goes counter to the other YELP evaluations. We were referred to Genuine Plumbing & Rooter by our Home Warranty company to fix a leak in the water pipes and valves supplying our washing machine. After some discussion with the warranty company and Genuine plumbing, it was determined the leak was covered. We went on YELP and read the reviews and had great confidence with a company with such stellar reviews. The plumber reported fairly promptly and was pleasant when at our home. They cut the drywall to get to the pipes and then replaced the plumbing pipes and valves as they supply water to our washer and drier. All good so far. We had great confidence that all would be well. However, almost immediately after they left, we noticed a small leak from the valve and brass fitting the plumber just fixed? Suffice it to say that when I called our home warranty company and they had Genuine Plumbing contact my wife, the plumber began back tracking and saying they do not cover the work they did because the home warranty will not cover it? Huh? The plumber indicated they put on a fitting to the valve that had the wrong threading and the home warranty allowed that? Hmmm? I have been a homeowner for 40 years and this is the first time that I have had an experience with a Journeyman Plumber providing such inferior service for such a simple task and would not own up to their error. When I called Genuine Plumbing and spoke with Clinton, he was pleasant enough but would not entertain fixing what he had supposedly fixed. In essence, in "repairing" the leak another was created and they will not own up to the inferior job they did at my home. Hence, this narrative in YELP. read more

I am so grateful to this company. I called last Wednesday evening, pretty panicked, as gas was leaking out of our 14 month old defective water heater which was put in by a plumber who was recommended to us but one we were having issues with. Clint answered the phone and listened patiently as I told him the gas company was on the way over to inspect it and asked his advice as to future repairs, how to deal with this plumber, etc. He told me to text him back after the gas company inspected as he would be up until 10 or 11pm (I was impressed) and let him know what the inspector found. Long story short, the inspector definitely picked up gas, tagged the unit and shut it off. The original plumber came back the next morning and suggested replacing a third part on the water heater and said it "should" be fine. But he clearly sold us a lemon and didn't offer to really make things right! We were tired of the cold water, the plumber's incompetence and now having a dangerous gas leak. No bueno! My husband and I knew that it was time to wave goodbye to the previous plumber and take a different direction. So I texted Clint and he scheduled us for the following morning to have a brand new quality water heater installed at a fair price. The two people who came to do the install were professional and did a really nice job. We now have a new plumber who is (I sense) deals honestly and fairly.
