    Unfortunately there are insanely over priced. Garbage disposal replacement charge were more than $600. That's the only unfortunate part.

    Warning to homeowners--especially first-time buyers. We…read morecontacted Roto-Rooter requesting a plumber to evaluate a ceiling stain. There was no active leak, no standing water, and no emergency--just a stain. Despite this, the situation was presented as urgent and severe, creating pressure to act immediately. Within 10-15 minutes of arrival, we were asked to sign authorization paperwork without a clear explanation of what we were agreeing to or the true necessity of the work. Instead of sending a plumber on day one, a water mitigation team was dispatched immediately, and a plumber did not arrive until three days later. We were under the impression that a plumbing assessment would occur before any invasive work. We later learned that had a plumber evaluated the issue first, the ceiling opening could have been significantly smaller--less than one-quarter of what was cut. Even the professionals who later repaired the ceiling confirmed the demolition was excessive and unnecessary. The billing practices are deeply concerning. After-hours pricing was applied broadly, including to materials, which do not change in cost based on time of day or federal holidays. While labor rates may vary, materials do not. Applying after-hours rates and O&P to materials feels like intentional inflation, not cost-based pricing. Nearly every line item appears maximized, and while we were able to prove a few clear discrepancies (such as drywall square footage), many others remain questionable. It is also hard to ignore how differently services are priced when insurance is involved. As out-of-pocket customers, we lacked the leverage insurers have to challenge inflated charges, and that imbalance appears to have been exploited. Independent professionals have since told us this entire issue--including repair--should have cost under $2,000. Instead, we were led into a far more invasive and expensive process under the false impression that immediate action was required. Any later attempt to reframe correcting improper after-hours pricing on materials as a "goodwill gesture" is misleading. Accurate pricing is not a favor--it's a basic obligation. This experience reflects poorly on Roto-Rooter's practices and their treatment of customers acting in good faith. I would strongly caution others to get independent opinions before proceeding, especially if you are told something is an "emergency" when it clearly is not.

    I requested service for my jammed disposal. They came to my home…read more They Inspected my two year old disposal for 2 minutes literally. Said they would check my warranty on my disposal and give me an estimate on whether the repair would be covered. Left my home. I received an email estimate to totally replace my 2 year old disposal for over 725.00. No warranty coverage was found. I turned down the estimate. I googled how to fix a disposal and found an Alan wrench to fix it. It remains functional and unstuck. I was mad. I felt Mr Maison plumbing and drain company did not do a thorough inspection of my disposal before announcing it was dead. Exploiting me and my stuck disposal for maximin profit. I sent an email describing my unhappiness around the service I received and sent a picture of an Alan wrench as a possible tool they may use in the future to help with their diagnostics. I received an email back stating never to contact them and their staff again and I was the problem. Avoid this company. Professional and honest delivery of their service and respect for the customers experience is absent.

    On Friday, December 19th Mr. Maison Plumbing & Drain sent a staff member to do a home warranty…read moredishwasher installation. While the staff was installing the dishwasher he had damaged my counter. In my opinion it was due to blunt force. Immediately the staff stated it was there when he arrived but did not take actions to inform me prior to installation. I overheard him telling his boss he believes the damage was due to weight. However, if this were a true statement, when you apply weight on the countertop where the area was damaged you would see the damaged area split and it does not split when applied with weight. My counters are brand new, installed May 21, 2025. There was no damage prior to his arrival. I was patient with them as the holiday weeks were approaching and the person answering the phone stated the owner was on vacation the week of Christmas. I called the week of New Year's and he stated the owner was out until that Friday and I would receive a call upon his return Friday or Monday. I spoke with him one last time Tuesday 1/6 stating they will get back to me once a review meeting was had. I called back a few more times and left voicemails with no return call. I called my home warranty company on 1/13/25 to reach out to them for response and they have been non responsive. I would like my counter fixed. At this point I don't trust this company to do what is right to schedule fixing it and would like to ensure it is fixed appropriately independently. I filed a complaint with the BBB on 1/16/26 to try to get a response and no response was completed. Would not recommend this company. They do not take accountability once they have wronged their customer.
