Metro had originally stated that they could come out on Friday. I didn't want to wait that long, so I got on their list to see if they'd make it out on Thursday. I was contacted a short time later that someone would be out between noon and 4. Relieved, I got back to work. It was close to 3 when the nice young man arrived. I let him in and ge went right to work. Less than 30 minutes later, he'd cleaned out and tightened everything that caused the issue. The cost was $120. This was a quick,inexpensive repair with very friendly service. I've already given their name to a friend who's having plumbing issues at his home. Thanks Metro! I got an estimate for plumbing work to be done on a house I was considering buying. It took them two more days to get the estimate to me and it did not arrive when they said it would. When they got it to it to me, it was too late and they did not give me the estimate in the way that I asked for it. I was disappointed with On Time Service Pros and their estimate to replace my kitchen faucet and while they were here they showed me corrosion under the bathroom sink as well. Jeremy said the bathroom would be $135 but he said he doesn't have the parts to do it now. After he looked at the faucet in the kitchen he quoted it would be $411 (after a $72 VIP discount). I said no way that is way to much to take the faucet off and put my supplied one on. He emailed me the kitchen quote and picture of the bathroom sink valve. I talked to the company after looking up a past receipt of installing a kitchen faucet in 2017 priced at 1/2 this price. She said "Our current faucet install price includes removal of the old unit, professional installation, test, cleanup and a full parts and labor warranty. Prices have increased since 2017 due to rising material and labor costs, but we remain committed to safe, high-quality service." I reminded her that I have the new faucet and it already has a warranty. She said "Even when a customer supplies the fixture, we stand behind the labor with a warranty to ensure peace of mind." So I went to another company that charged me $185 to replace the kitchen faucet, $125 to replace the corroded valve in bathroom and 1 part that leads to the valve in bathroom sink and 2 that leads to the valves in kitchen as part of the price. All of this for $310. Now I have peace of mind with Riverworks Plumbing in Red Wing that did the work for me.
