At no time did the office request photos from my younger years to ensure a natural-looking outcome and did not utilize AI technology--which is pretty commonplace now--to share what I might look like post-surgery. Fast-forward: 8 weeks later, office staff advised their surgery facility is out-of-network--only after the pre-auth denial. Due diligence upfront would have avoided wasting my time and their resources if their chosen facility is out of network. My insurance patient advocate confirmed the request was missing clinical measurements, which standard practice dictates MRD measurements and SVF with both open and taped eyelids, but the practice requested only SVF open from the optometrist and never took MRD. Unprofessional delays and transactional service--more focused on their injection/cash-pay business than using medical expertise to help with health. Looking for turn-key profits over patient care.
