With that being said, I know things can be busy or staffed and be shorthanded, but I'm not sure if that was the case. From the moment I walked in for my 1st appointment I felt very unwelcome! The receptionist barely acknowledged me was short unfriendly and almost seemed just irritated to be there. I have excellent insurance and I'm ver knowledgeable with insurance. She just told me my copay was $99 with no explanation, to me that was more than normal but I paid and will confirm with my ins EOB the costs. One of the responsibilities of a receptionist or front office is to set a 1st impression of a practice and this was a big failure on her part. The nurse that took my vitals was pleasant, the PA was great, knowledgeable and explained everything well. The second nurse that took my blood was outgoing and friendly, this gave me hope about my future appointments. I scheduled my follow up for a week later to review my results. On my second appointment there was a different receptionist and she was more pleasant. I was brought back quickly and a new nurse came in took my BP and explain another provider was here today than the normal one. She left saying she'd be in shortly. I waited 50 minutes no one ever came check in on me or explain why I was waiting so long! I would have been ok if someone came in, apologized for the wait and gave me an update but that never happened. After a hour of nothing I went to the front office and asked for a copy of my test results and said I've been waiting a hour no one has come in, I'll find another office. I was more shocked by the total lack of professionalism when she never once apologized and just printed my results out and handed them to me. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. It's a corporate medical office and you would think they'd have better trading in place for their team. This was my worst experience ever and I still don't know what I paid for? Update!!!! As I thought I received my EOB today and they charge my ins more than $800 for a visit with a PA and blood work. Per my EBO I was only to pay $24. I'm not dealing with these people that abuse medical billing codes. I'm filling a complaint wit BCBS. I'll let them deal with their billing department. Always check your benefits and EOB most of these large Corp managed care facilities are run by business people that expect you not to catch their misuse of billing!

She sits with you and talks to you and makes you feel comfortable. It also doesn't feel like a typical doctor's office where you can't relax and you feel on edge the whole time. A lot of times doctors rush in and out and you feel like they listened to you. She's listening and she's taking it all in and she cares deeply. I would say I highly recommend her, but it's a catch-22. With writing this review I think she's wonderful, but at the same time I like being able to get my appointments with her. Also, my 11-year-old daughter sees her and just loves her. We followed her from Midlothian because neither one of us wanted to find a different doctor. She's just so great.

I was hoping the manager of the facility in mansfield would call me back again how she said she would, so we could resolve this issue. (But after the first call i have not heard back. )Simply because "the doctor" says they performed something doesn't make it true. There was no thorough investigation done. This billing issue was dismissed way too quickly. Anyone can be "nice" and willing to listen, but there actions after is what pushed me to write this review and make others aware. 1. Appointment was made for a first visit that they said was mandatory to establish a relationship. When we arrived to apt. We specifically stated to several employees before being called to the back no physical exam was going to be done. Weight was taken, lungs were heard, blood was drawn. Doctor Katherine advised to schedule physical soon on the next visit. Before leaving the office they told me doctor katherine had changed the visit code and billed for yearly physical. Which they also looked confused as to why. No one had answers. I had to wait till manager called later that day. I told the manager We were told several times by several employees it was just a first visit to establish relationship. And $10 copay was charged, manager did refund after I first spoke with her. But the $10 is not what bothered me it was the doctors actions. All I wanted was for them to code the billing correctly or actually perform a thorough physical exam and any professional that cares would. But instead was told that the doctor may not be a good fit for us. And that she was attesting she did perform it. So they couldn't do anything about it. After talking more with manager, she said she had to talk to katherine again and would call me back the next day. I waited until about 1pm and called them since i had not recieved a call. And was told manager was in a meeting. She advised the employee assisting me to read off the notes. I didnt think that was professional. The employee said she would have manager call me back. I was expecting a solution of either billing code correction or a thorough physical exam performed, not the bare minimum. Which just really makes me sad. In person the doctor seems great it's the behind the scenes actions like billing that I don't understand how a doctor can take advantage of patients like that. If what she did was a physical she definitely did the bare minimum required to get away with coding the visit as a physical. So please review your bills, it's something that most of us don't normally do and just pay. Or we don't look because it's covered by insurance, without realizing our insurance is paying for things we didn't even have done.

However her office manager is awful, very condescending and impatient. The practice is also overly reliant on a cantankerous patient portal that stinks, and for online payment they only accept f'n PayPal, not credit cards. Last fall she announced she would no longer accept most major medical insurance like Blue Cross PPO. I spoke with the doc about her decision and her move to a prepay or semi concierge model. She doesn't have the customer service background to handle that correctly but she was adamant that she couldn't live with the finances of the funds provided thru insurance. Her new office rates were exorbitant so I moved on to a new Endocrenologist.

Furthermore if you need MRI"s or treatment they only do it at Baylor Scott & White in Arlington on Highland. I will never go there again if that is the only place the doctors at Arlington Orthopedics can send patients to. If I thought that Arlington Orthopedics was bad about blowing up up your phone, Baylor is a thousand times worse especially when it comes to getting their money before your procedure! I received multiple calls and text from multiple people there daily wanting their money. We were waiting for our insurance to process claims from another procedure somewhere else where our deductible could be seen by Baylor. Still the day before my procedure they sent another text saying they have to have my payment tomorrow in all caps! What business does this? Even on the day of we had to sit in the business office and hash all this over again and again which made things very stressful before having a procedure. Lastly out of 2 visits there, I have only encountered one nice person. No one there cares about anything except getting your money. My advice is to think long and hard about Arlington Orthopedics if you think you may need an actual procedure and then you better have your money ready and your ducks in a row. She is friendly, kind, humorous and very knowledgeable. Her office staff is welcoming and more helpful than any other I have been to. If I could rate a "10" I would but unfortunately this only allows 5. Another thing I want to mention. I had a family emergency in another state and called Dr. Gaydos office to leave a message. It was in the evening and I expected to hear back the next day but she actually called me herself and listened while I cried through my explanation of the event. After moving to Arlington she was the 4th doctor that I tried before I became a regular patient of hers. What I like about Dr Gaydos is that she is very thorough, caring and tells it like it is. She does not over prescribe medications and then not monitor you afterwards. I had a really bad reaction from medicine prescribed by a previous doctor and ended up having to self-diagnose the problem to finally correct the situation. It was at that point that I switch to Dr Gaydos. Since then, I have had several sports injuries and other situations that have to be monitored. Dr Gaydos is always familiar and knowledgeable with the situations that I have. I feel that I am in good care with Dr Gaydos. And, that is what is most important to me. I have never felt rushed during an office visit and I tend to ask a lot of questions. I highly recommend Dr Gaydos if you want an honest opinion from a knowledgeable doctor who is caring and treats you like an educated adult. She won't treat you like a child going to a pediatrician. So, if that is what you are looking for, look elsewhere in my opinion.
