I just want people to know what happened when I went to get copy of my medical records yesterday. First I want to tell you that I had gone to Dr Domb for over 10 years and never had a problem until I got an insurance through my work which was an advantage insurance. Ok so they said they didn't take it. I said ok, let me talk to my work. I got it changed back to what it used to be. So I go back and they have this new office manager and she told me that they won't take my insurance. I told her it is what I had before. She told me that no she saw online what it was. I told her she is wrong. I told her I can show her the insurance card and she said no she already knew what it was. So I am going what the heck is going on here. So I told her I will wait and talk to Dr Domb. It gets weirder. She said no I couldn't wait. He is booked. I said I will wait till he has a moment because I don't understand what is going on. Never had a problem until this new office manager. I wonder if she is his wife. So anyway she said that I would be trespassing if I stayed. I am like what is going on. I told her I would like to talk to Dr Domb to know what the heck is going on. She said I had to leave. I told her again I will sit there to talk to him. I felt I had the right to know why she wouldn't look at my cards so I can make an appointment. So she basically kicked me out of the office without an explanation. So I go back and wanted to get a copy of my records. Then she told me it would be $25.25 cent a page. I said that is highway robbery and that is wrong. She said it was the law. I told her that is a lie and to kiss my ass. Because I wasn't going to pay that. I don't know what is going on at that office. But because of the way they treated me after 10 years plus. I don't recommend them anymore. Hopefully they aren't doing this to other people. When I went there they only had one car out front. read more

The group was very thorough and professional. They treated me very professionally. Dr. Domb took the time to listen to my concerns ( which can be rare at times with some doctors), He took the time to interpret, analyze and explain my MRI and CT scans. He diagnosed what these were showing and discussed all possible approaches to treat them. He then chose to start with the least invasive treatment. He even let me know that he is going to attend a medical conference to find out the latest approach and discoveries, then asked me to see him later. Long but thorough review ahead! After seeing several general practitioners, I was finally referred to an ENT Specialist of my choice. I chose to go with Dr. Domb., for what ending up being pulsatile tinnitus in my left ear and constant pressure in both ears that I would have to manually relieve by plugging my nose and blowing so that my hearing would temporarily not be muffled. The general practitioners prescribed me antibiotics, steroids, several types of nasal sprays and anti-inflammation medicines. Nothing has helped. I will say, Dr. Domb's staff are great. Both the front desk and the medical assistants were very friendly and I felt that they had genuine empathy for what I was going through. Which is more than I can say for Dr. Domb. My first visit was less than ideal and I was rushed out within minutes. All he did was look in my ears and referred me to a hearing specialist. I didn't feel like that was necessary because I knew my hearing was fine, I wasn't experiencing any hearing loss. But I was so desperate for answers, I was willing to play by their rules. My 2nd appointment was even worse. To no surprise, my hearing test results came back perfect. I have exceptional hearing and can hear frequencies that the average person can't hear. He then told me that he wanted me to do an MRI to rule out any tumors. I am incredibly claustrophobic so I was terrified but again, wanted answers so badly that I was willing to do whatever it took. The Doctor only saw me for maybe 3 minutes. Well, I just got home from my 3rd and final appointment. Dr. Domb walked into the exam room saying, "I have good news!". My hopes inflated thinking that after this 8 month journey, I would finally have answers...maybe even a cure! He continued to say that there were no unusual findings from my MRI. Okay? And? ... That's it. No other answers were given. I didn't want to leave for a third time without any sort of explanation so I tried asking more questions. He proceeded to close my patient file, walk backwards towards the door (while I was still talking to him) and told me that there is nothing more he can do for me and I should seek another ENT for a second opinion or go to UC Davis. And that was that. He left my room while I sat in the chair in semi-shock. When they asked me to pay, I wanted to ask, "FOR WHAT??". But of course, I paid and walked out completely discouraged and back to square one. I am so angry and frustrated. Not that he didn't have answers, but that he was so dismissive. He showed zero empathy and didn't want to give me a minute of his time. Each appointment was very rushed, I was lucky to get 5 minutes. Honestly, it just felt like a cash grab. I feel like I was a dollar sign, not a real person with a real problem who was asking a "specialist" for help. I apologize for the long review but if you're needing an ENT, maybe consider skipping over Dr. Domb and go straight to the "2nd Opinion" that he's probably going to tell you to go to anyway...after, of course, looking in your ears and collecting 3 appointment payments. read more

We were referred to Dr. Domb for my son who ended up needing surgery on his nose. The surgery went great. Dr. Domb was excellent along with his whole staff. He called to check on my son almost everyday for a week and even a couple of times weeks out. I was also referred to Dr. Domb after getting sick and becoming disabled 8 months prior to my visit. I was referred to him only as a process of seeing every specialist there is when they don't know what's wrong. This includes me seeing neurologists down at UCSF. He diagnosed me and encouraged me to speak to my neurologist on what medicine I should be taking instead of what I was currently taking. Nine months out I finally have a diagnosis and the new meds he advised are helping me get my life back. We can't thank him enough!! read more

I would not recommend anyone trust their care to Doctor Domb. He destroyed my hearing with a vacuum cleaning for ear wax removal. He was running late and rushed the process. I have had my hearing totally shut down with a hard to bare screaming inside in my head for two months! DON'T GO THERE! read more

Dr. Domb literally helped me get my life back, and maybe even saved my life over the past few years. For over a decade, I sought help from doctors from UCSF to the Mayo Clinic for a cough that cultured MRSA. I was at the end of my rope after a decade of antiobiotic use when a local Infectious Medicine Dr. referred me to Dr. Domb, noting he "thinks outside the box". Dr. Domb caught an infected cyst at the top of my nasopharynx, which he promptly removed with surgery. The issue resolved for awhile, then came back. We worked out a plan of regular in-office procedures and home care and it's now been resolved for over a year. Any time I have a flare up, he sees me promptly... and in emergencies, even in the same day. I can't even count how many doctors gave up on me, but Dr. Domb stuck with me and helped resolve this issue when no one else could. I am so incredibly grateful to him! read more

We had Two doctors send referrals to dr Domb. I spoke with his office about 4 times to get a status on his referral during the 2nd and 3rd week. I was told that the doctor had not reviewed the referral and that new patients had to wait 3 weeks. Now, after 5 weeks, I called the office today to be told that the doctor declined my husband's referral. So now, we have get another referral. This is so poor in response to something that can be life threatening. We were never called, nor was our primary doctor notified. read more

Disappointing service at best. 15 minutes with the doctor and his "team" and $500 later and still no answers, just a big bill. The Q&A session he had with me was condescending, and even though he charged per "insurance protocol" for an endoscopy, which consisted of a hurried and unthorough look up my nose, which was the primary concern I came in with. That session ended with a rushed and inconclusive statement drawing more confusion to the issue that I was there to resolve. He then jumped to an ear check and cleaning which I did not request, and proceeded to charge for that procedure as well. My end take was that he didn't seem concerned with why I was there, but rather was focused on packing in as many billable procedures he could within the short appointment. read more

Dr. Domb takes the time to get to understand the issues that brought you to him as a patient. He straight up told me that my case was complex and he then proceeded to break it down into manageable bits so that he could explain what the 'plan of attack' was to me. I wrote an evaluation a few days ago in reference to all the paperwork and insurance advocacy in preparation for my nasal/sinus procedure. Well, here I am, back again, to discuss the actual medical procedure. Dr. Domb and staff are very thorough and precise. They discovered a small problem with my lab work and recent EEG tests. They stopped the surgery, prior to taking place, to ensure all the research and paperwork were in order and SAFE. Yes, it took an extra hour - BUT - I would prefer they put safety first and they did just that. Dr. Domb is a very nice and personable individual. They also did follow ups and were again very thorough. I would recommend Dr. Domb, his very capable staff and their usage of Mercy Surgery Center to any and all people in need of their services. read more

Good doctor but seems to be profit driven. Will not perform needed Tonsilectomy because he feels his insurance payment is to low......What doctor refuses treatment because he wants more money? I don't believe that was in the Hypocratic Oath. Will go to another ENT. read more

I am writing this review because I am in disbelief of the incompetent office staff of Dr. Domb. I cannot comment on Dr. Domb because I was never seen. This is my third week of waiting for his office staff to return calls, after they received and had accepted a referral from my doctor. I have been in much pain and when I saw my regular doctor on Tuesday 7/28/2015 the procedure they tried, to check my right ear, was unbearable. They sent Dr. Domb a deferral the following day. I called on that Wednesday to make sure they had received it. They had. I was told Dr. Domb would have to review it, and I was looking at the following week. I called again on the next Wednesday and was told to check back on Friday. However that Friday afternoon I got a call from their office staff and was asked about my insurance. They do accept my blue cross insurance by the way. I gave them my insurance information and that was the last I have heard from them. I called the following Tuesday 8/11, and was told the person that could help me was still out to lunch, at 2:00 mind you. This office person said she would have her call me when she came back. NO CALL. The following day, a concerned friend of mine made a call to the office and was told the same thing. The person that could help her was out of the office and she would have her call her back when she came back. NO CALL. It has now been another week. If the office staff has no plan to schedule an appointment for whatever reason(??) you would think they would let me know and not leave me hanging and waiting for an appointment. I realize this is not personal, because they do not know me. However they are not doing Dr. Domb any favors by their lack of care and insensitivity to a person who is in much pain and has lost most all hearing in that ear. I am writing this for my Mother....... My mom had to take my Aunt in for her surgery this morning. When the doctor came in right before go time, my mother wanted to ask some questions as she will be caring for my aunt in her recovery. As my mom was speaking and asking her questions the doctor walked right out of the room. My mother asked him if he wouldn't mind taking the time to answer some questions. He ignored her and walked out. My mother then got louder and asked him to please come back to answer her questions., He did not. He was beyond rude and unprofessional. My mother felt very unsafe4 leaving my aunt in his care. The anesthesiologist had a very shocked look on his face. And my mother thanked him and said if it wasn't for his professionalism then she would have not left my aunt in the care of Dr Domb. (side note; My mother lost her husband to sleep apnea, and wanted to be clear on some post op care.) DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR. LET'S HOPE REDDING HAS OTHER OPTIONS read more

I don't know why more people do not write reviews for doctors in Redding, maybe because of that it is a small town. However, if there is one doctor that deserves a review it is Dr. Domb. In the last year I started having horrible sinus problems and needed to find a ENT, which I thankfully stumbled upon Dr. Domb. I ended up having more problems then anticipated eventually needing two surgeries among other things. Dr. Domb is the most caring and compassionate doctor I have ever met, which I have met more than my fair share. He is genuinely interested in his field of work and will do whatever it takes to get you better. He spends enough time with each patient to make sure you understand everything that is going on in regards to your health. It does make his wait times a little longer but it is well worth it knowing that you will get the same dedicated treatment. I unfortunately am moving to San Francisco and am awfully sad that I cannot continue my ongoing treatment with Dr. Domb. Finding a doctor that is amazing as Dr. Domb is not an easy thing. If you have any problems that require the treatment of an ENT, especially for your sinuses then you need to go to Dr.Domb. read more
