Apparently Leo had never had that happen in nearly 40 years of doing this work. Many hours later we have an A/C that works. Goodman brand and NOT LENNOX, whose products have gone south in quality and longevity, is our replacement. It has a good warranty. Really have to say this couple really worry about their customers! Our dog is very ill and heat makes him worse so they gave us a large, powerful window A/C to use for a couple of days while we waited for the new unit to arrive. He wanted our pup comfortable! Who does that ??? No one, except...Prescott A/C and Heating does and stands by their work. If I could leave my number here I would so you could call me and ask how it went, but Yelp won't allow it. Trust me, they won't leave you high and dry and hot if you use their thoughtful, professional services. You'll never have to worry about them not standing by their work. He told me that the refrigerant for my unit wasn't available anymore (untrue), and that the whole unit needed to be replaced. I got an $11K bid, that got retracted for a $7K bid, that got retracted for a #13K bid. I called another company who got it done, parts (not under warranty) and labor, including replacing all the refrigerant, for under $1K.

Debbie gave us a time and the name of the service technician. Two technicians appeared after they called asking if they could come early. They both spent a great deal of time explaining what went wrong with our thermostat and noted the corrective actions on the paperwork so we would have it for a reference should we experience similar problems in the future. They fixed the thermostat, replaced a missing screw in the air handler, and gave us a useful convenience tip on obtaining an assembled air filter from Phillips. Professional service alleviates worry and provides us confidence in the system they installed during construction.
