I still paid the the quoted mount. No discount. Fine. Two weeks later I went to do some work work and went to turn off the valve. It started leaking. It must have been bad but Dewey never checked it before hooking up! It's OK, we all make mistakes. I called Dewey to fix the leak figuring it was covered under their warranty . They told me the valve was bad. I authorized them to replace the valve and expected to paid extra for the bad valve. I didn't expect them to eat the cost of a new valve. I expected to pay for it. Fine. What I didn't expect was that they would charge me for a whole new repair. They did not do the repair under warranty. They charged me $226.83 to install one new valve! I tried to talk to them. Their pit bull, Megan, their gate keeper wouldn't let me talk Sean, her boss, to plead my case. I'm paying the $226,83 so they don't send me to collection and mess with my credit. I will never use or recommend them to anyone again.

I had gotten several quotes which were at best outrageous. I ended up calling Bill at Dunerite and to my surprise he came back with a quote that beat all others. He also gave me the extra warranty (10yrs) on my system because he is a Daikin certified installer for no extra charge. All other installers were giving me the standard 5 yr warranty. He showed up to my house with his son and installed the unit in half a day. They were both very professional and knowledgeable. He also gave me free advice on my other system (5 ton) on how to make it more efficient. Since then I have done what he had recommended and my other unit performance has drastically improved. I was planning to replace this unit as well (thinking there was something wrong with it) but now there is absolutely no need for that. The only thing that the unit needed was an additional intake so it can breath easier. Bill is the only contractor that I call when I need to service my AC units.

The tech came a few days later, did a (clearly not thorough) inspection of the unit. He ended up telling us that our compressor was bad, the unit (that we bought brand new and had professionally installed 4 years ago) was "too old and obsolete," and that it was going to cost us an estimated $6,700 to change out our outside coil unit and compressor. Since we don't have a spare $6,700, we contacted another business (Environment Concepts, Inc. Heating and Air Conditioning) for a second opinion. Billy came out the next day and completely fixed the problem (NOT the compressor, not anything the guy from ACE lied to us about) for $300. ACE wanted to rip us off for literally THOUSANDS of dollars that we don't have. They offered no other options or solutions, and had we not found the company that actually helped us, we would be completely without AC for who knows how long in the AZ summer heat. When my husband received a message from ACE to OFFER FINANCING on a completely unnecessary service, he told them what happened and how unacceptable their business practices are. The only response was to tell him that they could still offer services in the future. Absolutely unbelievable! Bottom line, if I could give ACE zero stars, I would. They are unethical and clearly out to steal whatever they can from unsuspecting victims. For as many elderly people on fixed incomes and young families just starting out as there are around here, it is disgusting to know that this company would rather let people overheat than to be honest and fo the correct work for a workable amount. I will NEVER recommend ACE, and will be telling everyone I know how badly they tried to rip us off. They should be ashamed of themselves, and I only hope that people see this and know not to trust these liars.
