AMAZING UNIQUE CONCRETE park. First time my youngest and wife visited and they loved it, still totally empty early morning and kids will burn so much energy running back and forth. Old review from 2 years ago still holds up: TRIPPY, unique, concrete fever-dream. Love this park and have never seen anything like it anywhere else in the world. I remember doing an Easter egg hunt here as a kid decades ago. A Gaudi-like organic structure dominates the park and you can walk from one end to the other. Whoever designed this made something truly special, you'll see in the layout of the park and on some of the details like the retention walls and path to the basketball court. This is a cool local secret, I come about once a year when visiting my parents and it's always empty in the early morning. Love this place and hope others discover how awesome it is. read more

Yappa dappa doo! Brookhurst community park reminded me of the famous modern Stone Age Flintstones family. I'm sure if they had a local park it would look quite like this. Sooooo unique, the stone pathways attracted me to this park. While yelping-"things to do nearby for kids," I came across this gem. Wow what a find. And now one of my favorite parks. Which kid would not wanna come here? My niece, and nephews loved it. They didn't wanna leave!! They have these cute stone walkways that go into different playgrounds sections. You can't get bored here. Restroom tip- Ladies restroom has stalls but no doors. Yikes. Also lots of free parking. There's a baseball field as well. Have fun! Yappa dappa dooooooooooo! read more

Your standard community Park, but it's convenient because it's close to where I live. It has the basics. You know, uneven basketball court rims, the occasional cigarette butt on the pathway, transients hanging out, and litter in the parking lot. It does have some cool obstacles and play structures for the kiddos. Plus there is plenty of greenery to play soccer, football, and softball/ baseball diamond. There is a private parking lot adjacent to the baseball diamond, but beware of flying balls damaging car windows. Overall a decent park located in a decent area. read more

Dirty park. Don't bring yours kids here. Vandalized with trash and awful graffiti. Dick drawings everywhere and get it sucked advertising with numbers in the kids area. Change your oil at the park stains all over the parking lot, get your broken down looking electric cars charged. Half the parked cars have a male occupant just sitting in it staring at everyone while others park just to smoke with there meth looking pipes. So come on down if you need cans and trash to recycle, there's plenty to grab. read more

There were beautiful trees (some of which were blooming:) to climb or sit under. I saw couples, some homeless, kids skateboarding, some kids drawing and playing. The unique wall structure wasn't anything we'd ever seen so we ran around and had a blast. I saw a few cigarettes on the ground, no big deal. Some people choose to deface public property but it's still fun to slide down a slide regardless of what's written on it. It's west Anaheim so there are going to be transients/homeless and this isn't directly the park's fault. Parks are PUBLIC and for everyone to enjoy and, since it's free, transients/homeless go there, too. It was quiet, pretty, had a unique wall maze AND there was a strong ranger presence that I liked. They circulated often making sure everything was in check. We'll be back! read more

"Moon Park" It is a shame this park isn't kept up better. Despite it being a bit run down, the kids love this place. I am always a bit apprehensive as it is always filthy. The kids love the bridges and it does "take me back" as I played here in my youth also. Trash from the previous night's rave though litter the playground. It is also a bit hot during afternoon hours as there is no shade relief on the playground itself. Not a park I can see myself going to again soon. The pros: there are a few baseball fields which are great. I used to play softball here. There is also a nice skate park which looks to be in pretty good condition. The cons (which is what my rating is based off of): brought my son here to play for an hour. The playground, while big, looks like a volcanic aftermath with worn down remains of what must have been a play area for kids. Mixed with paintless and rusty structures (swings and monkey bars only) and a big rock bridge thing, it really looks like the playground has been forgotten. Can't forget the many food wrappers looking for a home. The playground could be so much better if the city put some work into it. A great example of awesome parks would be Stanton. Hoping the city will update this park in the very near future. read more

Great baseball field, softball fields, skatepark and kid's park. Clean bathrooms and grounds.

I didn't see anything wrong with the park but I've heard a lot of bad things about it. However, when I came it looked decent. It wasn't dirty and I didn't see any wanna be gangsters. They've got a field for soccer and baseball. There's a passageway in the middle of the park that I thought was pretty cool. They have a playground that includes rock climbing and it's a pretty small park. I saw several different sports teams practicing in their own spot. read more

We really don't come here often, but when we're here I enjoy watching the kids and adults at the skate park. They allow bikes, skates, and skateboards inside both sections of the skate park. It's really clean, well maintained. No graffiti and if it does get tagged, it's cleaned right away. Large grassy area for events or game play and a basketball field. Walking/jogging trail is nice for leisurely strolls or workouts. The bridge is a nice touch. Playground for older children, not a lot for toddlers or babies. Lots of parking inside the lot and around the neighborhood. No overnight parking and there are a few schools surrounding the park and a community center adjacent to the parking lot, so I feel safe there. Plenty of picnic tables and benches. The only thing missing is a gazebo area and grills. But then again, maybe that's why it's such a nice park. read more

This park is terrible it is very ghetto and several homeless but this rating is mainly going towards the skate park the skatepark is a great park it is very smooth but you can tell this is an older park because the ramps are very steep but there very well placed for good speed a negative about the park is 80% of the time there is people in the parking lot talking and doing drugs. There are several people very willing to help in the park and are very nice to children this is nice knowing you will be safe in the park,the park rangers are very nice and will help out with what ever,he will even let you stay an extra hour or two for a longer session . This is very nice having a extended session and getting some or fun in. read more

Three stars for Brookhurst Park. I mostly visit their softball fields only, I haven't visited any of their play structures. The softball fields seem really worn out the batters boxes need to be packed with Clay. The infield is hard and it needs to be watered and nail dragged. The dugouts do not have a roof on them so the sun shines down onto the players, so if you are planning on playing a long game there, I recommend bringing a tarp to put over your dug out to provide some shade for a day game. The bathrooms here are subpar. I know that it is a park bathrooms & of course they're not hotel grade LOL but the bathrooms here constantly flooded. Luckily I believe this is only from the early morning sprinklers not necessarily urine! People don't really pick up after their dog at this park so watch where you step. I think that the park could benefit from some dog pick up posts with bags attached. read more

It's cool how this park has access to the junior high track so you could run a mile in a dirt track which is the best especially for your knees and its pet friendly mind you still have to keep your furry friends on a leash but they can be social since a lot of people bring their dogs to walk here The only downside is if you come in the morning you have to get here really early before 8 AM because at 8 AM it's close to the public unless the kids are out of school. then you can come at anytime read more

I love this park! It's very spacious, clean (for the most part) and very low key. Which is good because it's never packed! However it's connected to Brookhurst Junior High so you'll have students here and there. I just come here for a nice run or a stroll sometimes and I love it :) it gets super hot during the summer time though so stay hydrated! read more

Cool and clean park to walk your pooch. If you walk all the corners of park its a nice walk for pooch and yourself. Inside this park in the middle, they have a skate board park and a play area for small kids. I see park rangers and Anaheim police driving through a lot, so it feels safe. read more

The park has minimal structures for kids to play on, and the concrete maze structure thing is barely decent for older kids to run around but the rough surface would definitely cause some decent cuts and bruises if you fall in there. Rest of the park just has a bunch of wood chips but is just an open concept with maybe a two or three things for kids to play on. read more

A cool concept and a beautiful park if not for the broken glass and trash that litter the entire park. Brought kids here to play and it was really run down and trash everywhere. Always bummed to see a spot that is meant for kids to be kids in that condition. Whether it's the residents or tourists... it is not being taken care of. Visiting Anaheim with small children and found this great park near our hotel. There is a big skate park for boards, bikes and scooters. The playground is spread out with a very cool kid size walk bridge that snakes around the different play items. There are big blobs of concrete spread around that make great climbing structures. Tons of shaded grassy areas for picnicking and several baseball diamonds. A great break from the expense and crowds of the amusement parks! read more

decent local park. theres a skate park which is more suited to bikes then skateboards. also theres a baseball field which hosts local team games. the real draw for me nowadays is the 8 or so basketball courts they have. it kind of sucks that there is no 3 point lines and that each court is right next to each other only seperated literally by a line. but usually in the afternoon its empty enough that it isnt a problem read more
