I work for a program that goes here once a year very nice playground very cool park they used to have a zip line which has been closed down for some time. If you go there, they also have a disc golf course. Plenty of space lots of play area for younger kids Some which may remind you of when you were younger. Nice park in Anaheim with its own dedicated parking lot. It has some fun play structures that seem pretty new - two large rope climbing structures, a spinny thingy (I'm sure this is the technical term, lol), and a cool seated/standing zip line. My kid is having a blast on the zip line structure. Man, if we had this when we were kids we'd tear. It. Up. 3 jungle gyms with slides and swings along with plenty of wide open grass. Didn't experience the entire park but we did play pickleball. I've never experienced pickleball so badly. The majority of those who are regulars are Asians, more like 99.9%. They were not welcoming and no one wanted to be our fourth when asked. They removed our paddles when we tried to play with them. They definitely made it known without saying that we were not welcome. It was ridiculous. Say you're racist without saying it. Definitely pissed us off. So if you're looking to play, go with a huge group so you can take over. If not, go somewhere else. read more

I'm gonna get right to it. It's a nice park with great playground toys. It's a large playground, not to packed on a beautiful cloudy day. I feel safe at this park to walk my dog in early evening. There are shelters to have gatherings and large field to enjoy. I do wish that the playground ground was better maintained. There is trash and there was dog on one of the playgrounds. This is a very nice park and the size is pretty decent. There are plenty of parking, even street. There is one side of the parking that is not lit at all at night though. Big baseball field, playground, and large picnic area. There is even an indoor picnic area. Restrooms are clean and they converted an outdoor hockey ring to a Pickleball court. This park has been my backyard for over 17 years. We've gone thru many challenges over the years but now it's great. The addition of The Pickle Ball Courts has brought many people together from cities all over Orange County. We've become a pickle ball family. We play for fun & exercise, but make no mistake, there are very competitive games played here too. We laugh a lot and are all easy going individuals. We have a pot luck the last Friday of every month to celebrate the birthdays for the month. We meet up daily starting around 7:30ish AM. Monday, Wednesday & Friday are the most attended days but Tuesday & Thursday you will always find a group of us too. We absolutely love this park! My children especially love the zip line they added. We have been coming here for years before they had the tennis courts and before the two playgrounds. We had two parties here, one bridal shower and a baby shower. Now we will be having a birthday for my daughter there. We tried to reserve the gazebo but all weekends were booked. If you are looking to book the gazebo, book early! We are still going to have our party but we will just arrive super early to grab one of the open tables that don't need a reservation. read more

I can see why this park has a bad reputation. There are homeless people around but, they don't mess around with people. I usually go with a group of people with our dogs almost everyday and there has never been an issue or seen anything. One thing I wouldn't do is go by myself. The park itself is very nice and big. There is a playground area for kids to play, a lot of picnic tables with grills to cook food and have parties. In the evening there are a lot of kids still outside playing and a lot of people walking around or playing sports. Usually the park is clean except for a few times where people have left a huge mess after a party. There are park rangers that come in and clean the bathrooms and I'm sure when they see the garbage people have left behind they clean it. Honestly, this park is nice and very convenient for us since we live a block away. read more

This park is a pretty spacious and safe park. It is very family oriented and opens until about 9 or 9:30pm, at which time the lights automatically shut off. There is a large soccer field that is busy most weekday afternoons so if you feel like taking a stroll around the park, it is quite safe. There is a restroom in the center of the park as well if you need a bathroom break. If you're looking for a good laugh, they also have LARP (lol) or Live Action Role Play. There are about 40 kids out there... and if that isn't entertaining enough, you can choose to actively participate. Have fun! read more

This is my second time bringing my small child here. Once on a Saturday as it was extremely crowded & not exactly safe for someone so small... I brought him today (Monday) figuring it would be less crowded which it was. It's very nice, lots of different playground options for kids of all ages plus a zip line. But I have a few issues with this place. Not only is there trash & litter freaking everywhere, but under the big shady trees there's a gaggle of homeless smoking weed & being creepy AF. I don't take kindly to these types of people, eyeing all the children playing. It just grosses me out. Nevertheless they need to hire more maintenance people to clean the crap & graffiti & something needs to be done about all the homeless. Either that or just make sure to bring your pepper spray. read more

I used to come to this park as a kid since I attended Twila Reid... I decided to come and see how it would be to switch up my morning walk with Brooklyn, my furbaby. We aim for 2 miles and I figured 2 trips around would do the trick... WRONG! 1 trip around is only 1/2 a mile... What normally takes me 20 minutes to walk 2 miles took me almost an hour because I was walking around trying to get it in. It was ridiculous. On a brighter note, its different terrain so I for sure felt the difference between where I typically walk and here, it was nice. I went around 5 am and as it got closer to 6am, the interesting people started coming out. Some guy on his bike was yelling at the people in his head to, "... get out, I don't need you in my bleeping life..." needless to say, I headed back to my car and left, luckily I had gotten my 2 miles in right at that moment. No need to worry about light though, lighting is perfect along with plenty of trash cans to toss the poop bags. People, please make sure to remember, its your responsibility to clean up after your furbabies! I ended up stepping in someones lack of keeping up. Visiting from San Diego and brought a six-year-old and two-year-old here to get some energy out before going back to our hotel. It's hard to find parks that accommodate both age groups but they loved it and didn't want to leave. We went Friday around 8 in the evening as the sun was setting and there were still tons of kids playing. There are four different areas in the playground: three structures with ladders, slides, bridges etc., and one area with rope jungle gyms and a big spider-web type of structure. It was getting dark but the playground was fairly well-lit. The bathrooms were kind of a trek from the playground: on the other side of the basketball courts. However, they weren't as gross as I imagined they would be even if they lacked soap. Kind of off-putting to see "no needles" signs on the trashcans though... All in all, the park left me wishing we had a playground like that in SD since once your child gets bored on one jungle gym they can go run to the next one. Good times. read more

This is an amazing park for families. Plenty of amenities and activities. The only drawback is the homeless encampments that are in the park 24/7. Many drink, do drugs and trash the park. The bathrooms are not safe. There are bloody syringes and toilet paper in the stalls. Definitely not safe for children. I wish the city would do something to get rid of the homeless encampments. These people pollute the space with trash, profanity and drug use. Such a shame for the surrounding neighborhood. read more

It's not easy to find a park with a playground for toddlers. This park is clean and inviting. We used to see a lot of homeless and high schoolers here, but Anaheim City has done an amazing job cleaning it up, and keeping it clean! Beautifully landscaped. Great park for walking/running. Lots of markers to know your distance. Frisbee golf, horseshoes, and basketball in addition to a well kept playground. Plenty of parking and a really nice gazebo and picnic tables all over for events. read more

I go here to walk occasionally since it close by where I live. I like how this park is spacious and pretty maintained so if you just want to get some exercise it a good place to go. I usually walk around the park for an hour or so. I often see a lot of peoples out here doing activity. At times, you can see a Live Action Role Play and where they are different teams and themes lol. I like the playground swing set and occasionally I'm swinging on it. Also there are places for a bbq or parties at the park. Also come before 9pm where there are light on still but after that the light are turn off. If you want to get exercise and don't want to be inside a building than go walk or run at the park. read more

My family loves this park. A long time ago there used to be a vagrancy issue with the homeless laying around the grass area by the shelter, but the park services has been pretty good at keeping them away. We had our son's 7th bday party here. We made a reservation with the Anaheim Parks and Recreation office. Despite the wind that was fighting us, everyone had a great time. The park was clean, the playground was just awesome, especially the zip line. The kids loved it. The access to the sink made it easy to clean up and to fill water balloons. The park is filled primarily with families with little kids. We go back as often as we can. read more

The only reason we continue to come to this park is because it's convenient. There are almost no water fountains in the area to accommodate the children that are playing on the playground, there are homeless people and crackheads at every corner, especially when it starts to get dark, and the restrooms seem to not be maintained at all. read more

Lots of Pokéstops and Pokémon Go players constantly put lure modules on them. Also there are many Pokémon that can be found since it is a park that has a small water feature. The park is also great because many events are made there like the farmers market. read more

Lots of vagrants around all day and into the night. I suggest you stay with your children especially when they need to use the restrooms. Over all it is a very nice park and has newer playground equipment for the children. A good start for the Wednesday Farmers Market. Over all a good park just keep an eye on your kids. The police do keep an eye on the park but can not be around at all times. read more
