Hi couple months ago I visited George Zdravkov,s office. He claimed that he performs " ultrasound tests of internal organs" Practically he did his test on my body for 1min 10 seconds and told me " you have some heavy metals in your body and your immune system is weak, because 15 -16 years ago you used excessive amount of antibiotics .Also he told me" that my LIver works only 25 % of normal capacity ? What is my real situation : 50 days ago I visited private clinic at Chicago with 3 doctors. They performed CT scan test of my liver, kidneys, gall bladder . They told me that there are Not structural damages of my liver ,no cysts, no fibrosis. .My blood test showed normal range of liver enzymes , white and red blood cells, and many other components. Last nine years I had flue only 2- 3 times . I never smoked, never work with heavy metals. My conclusion is : so called acupuncturist and "integrative medicine practitioner George Zdravkov is making all kind of tricks to scare his patients and to offer them "miracle Chinese herbal pills" We know that such a pills are Not approved by FDA. I will refrain from the labels like "charlatan", but I am very skeptical and suspicious of his diagnoses and treatment, since, IMO, they are very dubious. I was referred to Dr. Zdravkov by people who claimed that he did miracles for them and healed them from diseases, and I am sure he has many patients who feel that way, because he is is so booked that it took me 9 months to see him. 1. At first I was very impressed by his touching my wrists and guessing the disease I have. Although it is very common for older men, and it could be a good guess, he bought me by this. 2. Then he used his ultrasound and "found" lesions and polyps in some organs and gave me his Chinese herbal supplements and said that they may eliminate the cancer that every single doctor claimed could never disappear from medication or supplements. 3. When I saw him, I had a surgery scheduled in two weeks, but he told me to take his supplements for 2 months and, if my PSA drops from 5.0 to 1.0, then no need for surgery; otherwise go ahead with the surgery. I was shocked: 5.0 to 1.0?.. But I cancelled my surgery and started taking his herbs. In 2 months my PSA went from 5.0 to... 5.0. :-), so I was up for a rude awakening - no miracles. I rescheduled my surgery for 3.5 months later (availability). 3. Recently I had a CT scan that revealed that the organs he claimed had lesions and polyps were "grossly unremarkable" (nothing detected), but some others had some notable findings that he never mentioned. 4. The doctor and his wife, office manager, are cold and sour - no big deal but unusual in American offices and more typical for Eastern-European places. I know that my review will not matter for them, because they have thousands of patients, and most of them may not even read Google reviews, but I thought I'd still share my experience. Charlatan is the right word to describe this so called doctor. Some fake 5 star reviews saying that the medication is working and tests are proving that. What tests?!? The ones on his archaic ultrasound machine?!? He doesn't even know how to scan his patients. He missed large kidney stones, his explanation was that they simply disappeared because the medicine is working. Couple days later scans done by a medical professional showed all stones - some are larger than 4cm. How can he miss that?!? I can even post pictures of the stones here. To bad that there would be nothing to compare them too because this CHARLATAN never gives you any of your records.... the records that you pay for by the way... Got forbid he overlooks something a lot more serious than kidney stones. I was told the same things as the others - all my health problems are the results of antibiotics taken at as a child. It seems that he is using common statements that would apply to the most, like "carbonated water is bad for you"... If you ask him a question and you have comments or won't agree with him, he'll make you feel like you are an idiot. Absolutely the best doctor ! My little one had some many concerns with tummy pain and allergies and for month went to top doctors at Lurie ( I have really good insurance ) and all they are saying is do that and that and nothing worked. Doctor Zdravkov give her herbal Medicine and it took good few months but thank God all worked wonders in the end same with hives from allergies a herbal Medicine and cream that he made right there did so much wonders in her face went to NorthShore Lurie etc they are handing back Paper on bugs !!! ! But ! You must take those meds , no sides effects. That was one : my husband had about 6-7 years ago had hernian of disc surgery, pain was kind of comes back now , took some medicine from doctor Zdravkov and so much better and much faster. Still tasking those now An than my mother woke up one morning in so much pain from Lower back to legs. When for PT doctors Ortho and pain killers and nothing work ( doctor Zdravkov was really booked and we figure out let's do the pcp since she was in so much pain ) . Finally went to her appt with doctor Zdravkov and after 10 or so acupuncture sessions my mother did so much better, even now after almost a year she is doing great. I am not sure what everyone has experience with this office but I can honestly say that it's absolutely fantastic to be treated by a doctor that dose not push on those drugs with so many side effects. Some issues of other patients I was cautioned about before coming for my first appointment: 1) The staff are brusque. This is probably a combination of being a bit overwhelmed and being a common demeanor of Bulgarian professional offices. I was warned by another patient, so it didn't surprise me. 2) The diagnostic of reading your pulse is the primary diagnostic used by accupuncturists for 4000 years +/-. If you have never had an accupuncturist "read" your tongue and feel your pulse, this will seem strange. But it is accepted now by western medicine as having efficacy, much to the dismay of physicians untrained/unable to get a diagnostic directly from the patient instead of waiting for lab results. 3) The chinese herbs used by acupuncturists are generally unavailable and unknown to western medicine practitioners. I've used several acupuncturists over the years, and none of my medical practitioners could venture a guess about what the efficacy of the supplements might be. It would be like asking a diesel mechanic about your car engine. He'd have a good idea of how it works, but none of the particulars for your case. I saw nothing in the office that claimed George Zdravkov is practicing medicine. He is practicing acupuncture, and has credentials from previous training outside the US that help him form his strong opinions. And, he has strong opinions. The patient who told me about him was greatly helped after conventional medicine could offer no solutions. She remains pain and symptom free years later. So, when my physician kept increasing my medication with disastrous results, I wanted a second opinion about whether the medication might actually be a problem instead of a help. In my case, George Zdravkov offered strong opinions about some of the medicines I have been taking. I had some of the same concerns, so I'm willing to try his approach. We are working first on taking a month of the chinese herbs, and then will test with conventional lab tests. If the results show promise, he and my regular doctor will coordinate care to take me off/reduce the meds I'm taking. I got no advice that seemed imprudent. I'm not yet convinced that the strong opinions are correct, but the steps being recommended are not likely to cause me harm, and might solve some problems. He may be entirely correct, or he may be mostly/partially correct. Caveat Emptor. Which is what all of us should be whenever being treated by conventional western medical practitioners as well as other licensed health advisors like acupuncturists, chiropractors, etc. UPDATE: 3 months later, and lab tests confirm that my treatment is working. Dr. Z increased the meds a bit, and we'll check again in 2 months. The goal is to be ready to wean off the medicine my GP had me on for a few years. read more

Dr. Zdravkov diagnosed my issues during the first visit, which regular doctors couldn't do for years, they were only guessing and shoving pills. He did an ultrasound before and after, it took 2 month for problem to go away. One thing to remember is for the most of the diseases the natural healing can take a long time as it works to restore energy balance of the body or more specifically of diseased organ/s. I agree they are understaffed but I don't mind waiting a bit longer because I felt big difference in couple of weeks after visiting him. My mom and I have been patients of Dr. Zdravkov's for many years and we have never been disappointed! He has helped me tremendously!! I believe the reason why he didn't tell Maggie K what is in the Chinese herbs is because his English is not so great, there are many ingredients in each of these meds for many many symptoms. Another commenter was saying he was unprofessional, but my husband has been seeing him for a few years now, and he has always been kind and easy to talk to. Perhaps he got frustrated because the patient seemed so skeptical. We were too at first, but he treated my husband's kidney problems when conventional medicine said he would someday go into kidney failure, and there wasn't much they could do for him. He took a few pills a day from dr Zdravkov for 3 month and physically he knew he was healed, he had very strong symptoms when his kidneys were damaged. I have recommended him to many others and they have experienced great results. I was skeptical for 5 years while my husband got treated by Dr.Z . I was in so much pain that my husband convinced me to see Dr.Z. The day I met him he mentioned about a treatment provided to me 18 years ago. I was shocked. There was no way of him knowing that. I feel much better now, myself and other family members. Zero stars. Very unprofessional office staff, that is to include the person who claims to be a doctor. First, I waited an hour to be seen by him. He did not apologize nor felt at least a bit concerned about the fact that he was running that late until I asked him questions. Then, I felt rushed and was told indirectly that I was stupid because I am using a hormonal therapy for amenorrhoea and antidepresant medicine to deal with some serious downs that I was experiencing before I started taking it. This guy basically told me that I am changing the genetic code and negatively affecting future generations. Towards the end of my visit (after 10-15 minutes) I was telling him what kind of symptoms I would be afraid to experience if I got off the medicine I am on, prescribed by a real MD, and because I asked him questions about the herbs he wanted to give me, I was told that I was a waist of his time. This visit could not have been more disappointing! ...and I received a bill for $85 for it. Such a waist of time and money. I have seen Doctor Zdravkov on several occasions. I did have to wait for my appointment, but was not bothered by it...bring a book or read a magazine. Totally worth it. I went for acupuncture to quit smoking. I just went a couple of times and have been smoke free for almost 4 years. I have had some other issues that he helped me with, using his knowledge of herbs. Also family members of mine have been seeing him. All with rave reviews. I think we are so use to western medicine, that at first we may be apprehensive that things are a little different with his exam and treatment than we may otherwise have experienced with "traditional" doctors. Coming across Dr. Zdravkov was the best thing that could have ever happened for me.I have been his patient for several years now and he has always helped me with my various health problems.Recently my head started shaking and I went to my regular family doctor for help. He sent me to neurological specialist and it ended with that. There, I was put on a waiting list and I had to wait two months to see the specialist all the while my symptoms were getting worse. In the meanwhile I went to Dr. Zdravkov who is actually a neurologist in western medicine. Within only two weeks he helped my head to stop shaking! That was amazing! Simply put, this man is a charlatan, a quack, and a con-artist. He is NOT a board-certified physician. He should be out in jail for the fake medical claims he makes. He uses vague statements that seem to apply uniquely to you, like he ALWAYS says that a problem is caused by taking antibiotics during childhood. (Who hasn't taken antibiotics as a child?). He overcharges for Chinese herbs that can be bought online for much cheaper. When I asked what exactly was in the herbal pills he gave me, he refused to disclose what was in them. A patient has a right to know what they are taking. The most ridiculous part was that he held my wrists to "read" my pulse and he told me that I was going into the wrong career field, and I should change my career to engineering. I asked him how can he know what career I am supposed to go into, and he responded with some nonsense about how by reading a pulse he follows the branches of a tree to read a person. I mean this was completely crazy... is he trying to moonlight as a psychic too? He gave me herbal pills for acne but most of these herbal, natural remedies from China have NOT been proven to work scientifically.
