If you are in need of his assistance (trustworthy work) then contact him sooner rather than later as it sounds like he will be gone by summer!!!! I have a Kenmore Elite that spring a leak. After I checked the seal around the barrel and everywhere on the exterior I accepted that I'd have to call in a repairman. George returned my phone call and was able to set me up with an appointment the next day. He arrived promptly and figured out the problem was with a valve inside the washer after he had dismantled it. The part was available out in Fontana and he didn't hesitate to make the drive , get it, and come back to repair the problem. He also changed out a torn tube/hose that had been leaking, and since the kit also came with one for the other temp water, and the expelled dirty water he put those on as well. Lastly he adjusted the legs on my washer that it was not tilting/shaking/wobbly anymore. Super thorough, above and beyond what was asked, and payment was made easy via Zelle. The value of the repair was easily worth everything he did and saved me from having to buy a new washer - cannot thank George enough! My mother also had him go down the street to her house and fix her upright freezer that no longer "froze" anymore. This is a late post but I love me some George's Appliances!! I called a couple of other places for help because the top to my laundry soap got stuck in the back of where pour the soap. I was getting quoted a couple a hundred dollars for them to come and fix it. I continued to look for help and remembered using George's Appliances years ago. I spoke to George, explained my problem and he said "oh that's easy. I'll tell you what to do"! He asked me to send him a picture of the tray for the laundry soap. He texted me back with a circle around an area on the picture and said push down and pull the tray out. Bam!! Just like that, the tray came out and I saw the top to the laundry soap. Our 7 year old Whirpool Frechdoor Refrigerator stopped cooling - Read the great reviews and decided to give Geroge a call. George is a great all-arond knowledgeable guy. We called him and he picked up right away and was able to book us within 48 hours for an appoitment. He was on time to the appoitment, dressed professionaly and got to troubleshooting. He mentioned he worked at Cagles previously until he started his own business. After opening up our fridge and inspecting for about 30 minutes, he advised the Fridge is basically done for and it would be ideally better to buy a new one (These units go for $2200+ these days). He advised if he were to do a complete system repair, parts and labor would run upwards of $1400 total to have it fixed. We ended up not going through George with the repair, and went with another appliance store in Montclair who charged us $400 and the unit is working great for 2 months now. I'm not sure if Geroge was sincerely honest on his diagnosis or mis-diagnosed our unit with such an expensive quote, but glad we were able to get it fixed elsewhere and save essentially $2k from buying a new fridge. I have nothing but positives for George's Appliance a family business . We had a refrigerator needing a new fan to keep refrigerator section cool. Sears repairman quoted me $690!!! When I said "that's ridiculous would you spend that on a used refrigerator ?" he said it's because of the labor charge. George's appliance quoted me a price before he came out based on model number of refrigerator and assuming the part needing replaced by Sears repairman's diagnosis was accurate. George's arrived on time, fixed the refrigerator for the quoted price less than a third of Sears!!! And was fast!!! So in closing I have George's Appliance's card for any future appliance repairs next to my plumber and my electrician. I totally trust him and that's better than stars!!! read more

My washing machine agitator broke. I knew what was wrong with it because we had the same problem 2 months after we bought it. It was out of warranty and we wanted to get it fixed. We ordered the agitator (OEM) Online for 77 dollars. My husband had a difficult time getting the bolt off so I called George's appliance repair. I was in shock by his prices... 75 to show up, 115 to remove the bolt and 245 for the agitator. Ultimately, my husband bought something to help with the bolt at a hardware store. Fixed it ourselves in 20 min for less than $100. Thanks youtube. Honestly if he had given a fair price, I would have used him. I get people need to make money, but up charging the part by 170 and then labor& appointment cost... I could have bought a new washer for that price. 4 stars, we didn't use him, I appreciate that he was responsive, but I do not believe his prices were fair. read more

I had been battling over a month with very incompetent technicians sent out by GE's warrant service so I decided to call George because he had fixed my sister's dryer. He finally got my washing machine to work again after having been without the ability to wash clothes in my house for a month and having to pay the extra costs and experience the inconvenience of going to a laundromat after paying almost 2k dollars for brand new washer and dryer. I hired this business to repair an Kitchenaid refrigerator icemaker. The repairman did not show up within the scheduled window. No calls or messages of explanation. Finally 40 minutes late he appears at my front door. He concluded my problem required a new icemaker, which he ordered and replaced. That did not solve the problem. I texted two times to tell him. Later he claimed he had not received those texts.The following week he was out of town. The Monday after we made an appointment to put the original icemaker back in the refrigerator. For the second time he did not show at the scheduled time. He called 30 minutes after the appointment time to say he would be 20 minutes longer still. I was fed up and told him not to bother. I called a second repairman. In less than 5 minutes, he diagnosed the issue as a broken wire at the bottom of the freezer door. I concluded that George's appliance did not know what they were doing.
