The repair failed within 18 days. On 7/16, they diagnosed the compressor as "shorted to ground" and quoted roughly $23,000 to replace the entire system -- despite it still being under a 10-year manufacturer warranty. My father was left without AC for days in 100°F+ heat. We called an independent, licensed company for a second opinion. They found only a failed contactor -- the same part Ambient Edge had just installed -- replaced it for $460, and documented normal compressor amp draw, a healthy temperature split, and good refrigerant pressures. No compressor replacement was ever needed. The system has run fine ever since. When confronted with this, along with inconsistencies in their own diagnostic readings, Ambient Edge refused a refund and stood by their original diagnosis. Get a second opinion before agreeing to major repairs here, especially on anything warranty-related.
