Needed cigars for a retirement party. Had no clue. Had gotten some info from my brother and went in for help. Can't find my note for his name but a young handsome man helped me. Answered all my questions. Explained everything so I could understand and was so kind. I ended up with three cigars. Two for my friend and had to get my brother one for his help. The shop is interesting and I would like to go back one day and really look around for future gifts. The shop is clean and the people friendly. I like that they smoke outside on the patio and not in a room where I buy the product. Not sure how much cigars cost but from what my brother told me I feel the price was reasonable. This shop was fairly close to where we were staying in Emerald Isle so I had to go check it out. It is a house converted to a cigar shop. The house carport is an outside smoking area for guests. The cigars are stored in the first room when you walk into the house. He has all the typical brands you would expect. They are a little higher by about 1-2$ per stick but not surprising for a tourist type area. He does have his own line of cigars so I got two of them to try. I saw this in a previous yelp review and was the main reason I wanted to go check on the place. The store is located in a fairly congested little area by the water. Parking could be a challenge. However there appeared to be some side roads that may allow parking as well. We were lucky and got a spot across the street. The owner was there on the day I went and seemed like a good guy. I did not stay there and smoke, just picked up a few to go. I am looking forward to trying his cigars! read more

I'm down in the area visiting family. I came across this place during my visit. I thoroughly enjoyed the cigar selection. It is always awesome to find a cigar shop that has a big selection of individual cigars to choose from. The customer service was top notch. The guy helping me was very friendly. My favorite part of my experience was after I made my purchase. The guy helping me invited me to grab a drink. And join the others on the side porch for some adult day care and to discuss life. That truly made my day. This was the first cigar shop that has ever invited me to enjoy a cigar in their smoking lounge/area. If I had more time today, I would have enjoyed the offer. Hopefully next time I'm in the area. Or, if I get another chance during this visit. read more

Picked up one of George's in house cigars and it was fantastic. I'm usually weary of buying these types of cigars but was drawn to its appearance. Burns evenly and tastes great. Couldn't recommend highly enough. I only wish I could get these in my hometown! George was also super friendly and accommodating. Excellent cigar store set in an old ranch house near the waterfront. Immaculately maintained and George is a super nice guy. Not sure what's up with the negative review by the 'cigar expert'. All of my purchases have checked out with Habanos S.A. The Behike George threw in with my last purchase was spectacular, and I will be making the 2 hour drive to also buy a box of those in the next couple of weeks. read more

We received our first humidor as a wedding gift. Not sure how to use it, we took it to George to ask him questions. George was kind enough to stop business to teach us how to properly care for and maintain it. Decent selection for a small town. There is no humidor room, the cigars are in the lobby as you walk in, very hard to control temperature and humidity in an area that is exposed to outside elements every single time the front door is opened, but I can deal with that. I can't deal with the fact that my cigars were put in cigar bag that had been previously used for ashes of presumably a tobacco pipe. I didn't notice the ashes until the next day, therefore all of my cigars were RUINED. read more

Good selection of cigars. Friendly staff. My only suggestion is that they should offer a small pack of matches with each purchase (either for free or for a small fee). We fly into Jacksonville for vacation, and flammables are usually left at home. I would gladly pay a little more to avoid a trip to a mini-mart. read more

My hubby and I stopped there on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We were greeted with a very friendly George, the owner, who invited us to watch football on his patio, smoke cigars and he gave us beers from the fridge at no cost!! More ppl came and we hung out, watched football, smoked cigars and drank. We really had a great time and George was fantastic. His daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law came by and chatted with us. Both times, folks were friendly, informative, didn't pressure and were willing to talk about what I was interested in and also able to make good recommendations. It was a positive experience. I have been coming here for a few years now. Each time, no matter how far in between visits, George remembers me and what type of cigar I like. He is always friendly and attentive to his customers. He has a great selection, along with any accessories that you may need to light one up. The patio outside offers a great chance to enjoy what you have just purchased. Went in to pick up some Rocky Patel Edges for the first time yesterday. A friendly gentleman (the proprietor) came in from the patio enjoying a maduro. He had the look and manners of the "world's most interesting man" from the Dosequis commercials; very helpful, very pleasant. I walked out a little later with my cigars and a better attitude.
