Great service. First time in Boise, so I wanted to explore some trails I could ride from the 3rd St. Store. I walked in and got setup for an e-mtb for the day. Friendly helpful people.

Hello- During a June 2023 visit to Boise, I became ill while getting fitted for the rental bikes and had to leave the store immediately. On our trip in September 2023, Trevor honored our previous trip's credit and we were able to rent bikes to enjoy the green belt. On our ride, one of our bikes got a flat tire from a thorn and Chris came out from the the shop to fix it immediately. We have always had EXCELLENT service from GB's.! Jenn G

Great and convenient location downtown. Free 2 hour parking on W. Broad St. FYI only. There is a new building going up and construction workers seem to be taking many of the spaces (09/2020). Or you can do free bike parking at the entrance on 3rd street. Friendly service inside from the sales associates. Supposedly they don't get paid on commission so they are happy if you buy a bike, but also important not high pressure if you don't buy a bike. Buying a bike is a tough decision and highly subjective and personal. It can take demoing a few to see how they really feel. And thankfully here they let you do that. Just put on your helmet and take one for a spin around the block. It's nice and clean inside. Pre-Covid-19 they had nice clean solo restrooms on the right rear side of the store. Now those are closed. Pre-Covid-19 they had a huge inventory of bicycles. Now they don't have many at all. Maybe 10% of usual inventory. I don't hold this against them as bikes are flying off the shelves now and there were production shut downs from major manufacturers. But I'd also like to see them get more in so you can actually do some visual shopping in person instead of just online. We've had bike fenders, racks, tires slimed, and basic maintenance done here. It's all been done well and I recommend it, but it is not cheap. I guess that is to be expected.

Came here for a bike rental to explore the GreenBelt area. Frank was super helpful and friendly. He provided me with a perfect bike for the activity and helped with the directions. Amazing quality bike too - very comfortable and safe. The process overall was quick and easy!

No matter what block they are on, they are always wonderful! George's has moved from their old location on Fort Street to their new one on 3rd St. Hard to believe that was an old run down building prior to the Bike Shoppe being there! It is gorgeous! Very clean, neat, friendly and always fun! I was in to find a new bike light and new batteries and three people helped me. This is how they have always been and I hope this is how they will always be! Local and Friendly and Fair! The three F's even though local begins with an L...The LFF! If you need help with any biking needs, pop into the NEW location and have your go! I love having a bike team that I can rely on to tell me the truth in what I need and I know I am not being ripped off. I go no where else!

Sherry and I visited a couple of downtown bike shops on 6/9/18 to look at bicycles. On our first visit we were helped by store manager Frank Leone. Frank had his arm in a sling from a recent bicycle accident that left him with a broken collar bone, and the first thing we noticed was how the employees showed their care for Frank by helping him get bikes ready for Sherry to test ride. The other thing that stood out was Frank's demeanor - kind, patient, understanding, and grateful for his employees. Then of course there were the basics - he was knowledgeable and passionate about the products he sold, and quickly matched Sherry up with a bike that was perfect for her. We returned later that day and were helped by Katie, a young salesgirl who like Frank was passionate and knowledgeable and ultimately landed the sale. The contrast between Katie and the salesperson at the other downtown shop was remarkable: Katie knew her products and set the bike up perfectly for Sherry. The salesperson at the other store was friendly, but knew nothing about fitting bicycles or the nuances of the products she was selling. I've reviewed George's State Street location before (https://www.yelp.com/biz/georges-cycles-boise-3?hrid=Avtg_U3Jwzk9tScEp8j42w), and after visiting their downtown location I'm convinced the service I received at their State Street store is part of a carefully cultivated culture of excellence very similar to world-dominator Apple. Kudos to Frank and the rest of the management team at George's!

A quick tune-up and she's practically brand new!

This shop cannot service fork bushings. In other words, this is not a legit bike shop that can tend to ALL customers, just beginners.

I had them do a frame up custom build for me and they were great to work with. Ryan took the time to talk with me about what my wants were, and helped me pick out parts that suited me best. They were very informative when I picked up the bike and explained everything they had to do to the bike, and the pricing was very fair. Their communication throughout the whole process was stellar as well. Just recently, I was in there and Jake immediately greeted us asking if we could use any help. He provided my mom with information regarding town bikes and answered all of her questions. Patrick then gave me advice on what I could do to become a more well-rounded rider. One of my favorite things about Eastside is how passionate about the sport the guys are, and their willingness to help anyone who comes into the shop. I'm planning on having another bike built by them, and Patrick has already been more than helpful with that as well. These guys are well worth the drive to support them.

Frank helped me look us the Specialized Creo 2 Comp 5 ebike online and assisted with ordering a model with my specifications. Once it arrived, George's service department assembled it and adjusted all the dimensions to match my non-ebike road bike. They spent time explaining all the functions of the Creo 2 and, not exaggerating, they were truly excited for me. Cole, the service manager, has been very helpful, as always, instructing me with the process for having them box my Levo for shipment to a buyer. They're truly a multi-service shop and a very friendly staff. I have had exceptional service for the past 9 years and intend to take advantage of their skills and friendship for the remainder of my cycling career.

**Edit: So I mentioned Eagle Bikes on State St a few times in this review. Just drove by there and…read morethey are no longer there. Looks like they are no in actual Eagle vs being in Boise in the previous location** So last Spring, my previous gym shut down. It was a sad day for all of us lol. It was super close to my house too, so we rode my bike every day .. during winter months. I can't do that summer heat bull sh*t lol. I liked working out close to home. So next best choice was..Crunch. It's definitely a little farther but I don't mind and I still get to ride my bike. Two doors down is a bike shop called, George's. I'm very seen this shop for years! Just never went in. I was going to Eagle Bike Shop. Nice guys over there, but little pricey, they have odd hours, and I figured since I was now working out at Crunch, that maybe it was time to check Georgie out. Couple weeks ago, went to put air in my tires and as soon as I detached the little thingy from the tire, can you tell I'm kind of a genius when it comes to everything bikes? So I detached the thingy and all the air just left my tire. I wanted to cry. Stopped into George's to ask what they thought, told me to bring it in. Michael helped me both visits. He basically knew right away what the issue was before even seeing the bike...always impressive when someone knows their sh*t :) So I brought it back the next day and it the tubing inside. He replaced it super fast, was super nice about it. Told us he basically been working with bikes since he was a kid. AND it wasn't crazy expensive at all. Previous bike shop charged me a lot more for something similar last year. I now have another issue on the bike and of course will be taking it to Michael. It's an issue the last shop worked on last year...or so I thought. If they had done the right job, I would think I wouldn't need to get the same thing worked on..almost exa year later. I don't mean to talk shit about them, it's just frustrating. It was expensive as hell, too. I'm sure I'll pay a bit more at George's than my first time going there, but I feel I can trust them a little more. Finding a decent guy to work on your bike, who knows his stuff, won't screw you over, is a hard thing to find. For me, it's like finding a good barber, a good mechanic, etc haha. I'm happy I finally went into this store. Quite the place too. Super super clean, a pretty incredible selection of bikes. From what I looked at and only briefly, the few bikes I looked at were expensive as hell haha. Being cheap, I could never afford a $3000 bike lol. However, my bike is definitely older. Bought it and didn't use it for a LONG time. I use it all the time now. I will eventually need to upgrade it. I'd like to now, but this inflation y'all! It's a killer. I'll wait to see what happens in 2024 haha. Georges is great. I'm sure bike enthusiasts who live in this area, this is their bike shop of choice. Eagle Bikes is located not TOO far from George's, but it's randomly on State. George's is easily accessible from State St. It's in a little shopping plaza with a few other businesses. If you've been here, you know it's a great place. I've been only 2x and already love it. Wish all bike shops had guys like Michael. It would certainly ease the minds of many who are scared to take their bikes in for work. Shit is expensive! Or it can be, rather. Again, so far, I trust this place and I regret not going sooner. Always saw this place and had already created in my head what kind of place it was. Glad they proved me wrong. Boise is a major bike city. We have to love where we take them to get worked on. George's is definitely my new place. Thanks guys for making my first experience with yall a super positive one. Give Mike a raise! Thanks for reading, Yelpercyclists! Cheers!
