Then shortly after our truck was broken into in the back lot and thousand of dollars of tools were stolen. We received no support. They would not share access logs or security footage. Just a one month credit. Then the admitted this has happened before. That would have been nice to know! The gates were frequently broken or stuck open. This was the last straw and we moved out promptly after. This was poor business to double rates without notice and then also to provide no security or support against theft on their watch. The insulation in the ceiling caved from water damage from the roof leaking and causing water damage to my things. Black mold was on the walls as well and my damp items now also have mold. I toured the facility but was given another unit because I was told that with my timeline the unit I saw would no longer be available. After finally seeing my unit in person, I was appalled. The building door also does not lock after hours and there is no lighting outside the building for the loading dock at night time. I previously had my belongings in a storage unit in Austin for 3 years and never had this issue.

The fact that our rent continued to be raised (about $100 per month more than we started less than a year ago) and considering the building was flooded (which is absurd given it was activated/went live after Helene) and the company offered no restitution or compensation other than "inventory your stuff and put in a claim to your insurance company". Overall, a very bad experience and I would never recommend this location. I will say when they had staff on site (very rare) they were polite and got doors opened (that we should have had access to in the first place with code). It was also a clean facility pre and post flood.

The manager at the facility explained that there had been a recent change in how calls were handled at a call center. She manages more than one facility so is very busy and was not at the office when I first went to look for her. She is very nice and explained the easy check out process. The facility itself is the cleanest and best ventilated one I have rented (and I have rented several facilities in major metro areas).
