Quality from top to bottom! Set pieces are very intricately detailed, and with all the twists and turns they make fantastic use of their limited size. Five stars on the decor, lighting, effects, costuming, and makeup - exactly what I would expect from Seattle's premiere haunted house. The new rooms this year were excellent! The dark maze is also a ton of fun, it seems they add a few new surprises each year to keep it fresh and the line is never terribly long. The owner Scott is a great guy and always a pleasure to talk to! For those that have never been, please be aware Georgetown Morgue is much more intense than your average haunt - to some (like my wife) it can be incredibly overstimulating. With the price you pay and the time it takes wait in line (usually several hours), make sure that is something you can handle! read more

Waited 3 hours in line just for a 15 minute experience. The experience wasn't even that great either. I felt more overwhelmed and disoriented more than scared. It's sensory overload. There's far too much going on in the morgue to actually experience it. You'd think that would make me scared but it just made me annoyed. Everything else was closed at the morgue by the time we got there so we couldn't stick around to do anything else they offer. I probably won't ever do this again. I love a good haunted house and this one was pretty fun! We purchased tickets in advance online, just the regular general admission and added the dark maze. We came on a Sunday a little after their opening time around 7pm and there was already a line but not too bad of a wait. I really appreciate that they space out the people that walk through so you aren't pushed by others behind or stuck by people in front of you. Makes for so much better of an experience. The haunted actors/crew do an amazing job! While in line, we had a few scares which made waiting pretty fun and builds up the anticipation of walking through. Before you go into the haunted house, they take your group picture for some fun memories. The walk through is a wonderful time. I was really impressed by the added special effects and the overall decor of this haunted house, I was quite scared and definitely lost my voice at the end of the night. After the walk through you can view your photos and decide to purchase. We got two prints and the digital photos for $15. Then we headed to the dark maze, which I didn't really think was that great but if you're in front I guess it's pretty scary. I will say they put a lot of effort into it, it was an actual morgue, and there were fun parts. The cast is very devoted. And I did scream twice from the jump scares. However, just plan on paying the $75. Yr not going to want to wait 4 hrs at the $40 rate, it's a scam that way. And by the time you find out and have to deal w it, there are problems. For example, we're still waiting to see if our card was double charged or not. Everything is non-refundable, so what do they care? Even going early & AFTER Halloween, it was popular & PACKED. When we finally thought we were getting in after the line, we were directed thru a door that took us to yet ANOTHER line. So be prepared. Secondly, as is evident by the several times they basically tell you they're not responsible for shit; it is pretty hazardous. Outside, the uneven, pot-holed, asphalt, unstable banisters, and configurations of the fencing that corals the lines are pretty treacherous. For example, every-time we turned a corner in line, the sprawling wooden supports at the base for each beam were tripping ppl. Inside, there are ramps up and down, suspended bridges that move, flooring that mechanically moves, and other hazards. The worst part of that is that the floors are pitch black; so you can't even see to be careful. At one point, I needed the flashlight feature on my phone to safely navigate the flooring to prevent falling. One of the characters yelled at me as cell phones are against the rules; but I wasn't willing to risk injury just to get thru. So fuck him b/c it was absolutely necessary. One reviewer said it was more disorienting than scary & I concur. I missed being able to see the majority of detail of the rooms, effects & actors, which was a shame. By the end after strobes, fire extinguisher exhaust and utter annoyance from avoiding injury, I was just ready to be out and in the fresh air. I'm not the only one as I saw a frat boy looking guy absolutely bite it on a ramp he didn't see. I'm glad I got to see it, but once is enough for the aggravation & moneypit it became, which is disappointing. read more

The Georgetown Morgue was exactly what we came for! Super scary and so much fun. The actors were amazing -- especially the people with chainsaws that chase you at the end. The wait time wasn't bad at all -- only about 25 minutes on a Thursday -- and even the line was entertaining with creepy actors walking around keeping everyone on edge. This was a horrible experience!!!! - My group of 4 went three separate occasions to try and get general admission. There's always hundreds of people in line (even when we came 1.5 hours before opening just to get in line) the line moves at first for general admission but as the "VIP line grows" (aka you pay your way to the front) they let that entire line go before allowing general admission in -- So the line stops at some point and doesn't ever move?? Everyone who prepays general admission gets screwed! We never got in and can't get money back - heard from those that did pay more for fast past say it wasn't even the full 15 min and was "just a basic haunted house" so glad I didn't waste anymore money! Can't believe this company can just sell as many tickets as they do when they clearly can't manage it right and are screwing over so many attendees - definitely never coming back. read more

Highly recommend--10/10 experience! Thanks to tips from other reviews, we booked VIP timed tickets and skipped the long lines. Even on a busy Saturday, we were in and out within 30 minutes. The haunted house was terrifying in the best way--it felt like it went on forever! I couldn't tell what was animatronic and what was real, which made it even more intense. Outside, there were vendors serving delicious burgers and sweet treats that hit the spot. Definitely worth it! read more

i will give them their flowers, it was a really well done haunted house. actors were great, set design was intricate, and the variety of rooms was impressive. however, the fact that we waited in line for nearly 4 hours ruined the whole experience. for how expensive tickets were i was was sorely disappointed. we were completely aware line times were going to be long, but 4 hours was absolutely absurd. we arrived at 6:30 and did not enter the haunted house until 10:00pm. like be for real. there was no security either so people were cutting the line constantly, big groups of people at that. we enjoyed the haunted house like we came to do, but a 10 minute jaunt simply does not make up for the 5 hours of my life and 40 dollars of my hard earned money that i am not getting back. read more

I've been going here for a few years now, and it's still top notch! The prices have increased over the years, 2023 because $35 a ticket without fees. You can purchase additional add ons/express pass. If not, the wait can be over an hour-90 mins long. I went there on a Friday around 7:30pm, and waited over an hour. Dress warm cause it's cold! Actors walk around the lines and scare you too! The haunted house itself is great. So many different scenes and they have so much attention to detail. There's also a dark maze and 2 5 min escape room games you can do afterwards. read more

We planned ahead this year and purchased timed slot tickets for 10:45pm on Saturday, October 28th (the BIG Halloween party night!). Arriving and entering was easy as pie with the VIP/timed upgrade. The general line looked to be approx 45 min wait. I couldn't help but notice the odd lack of "scream zone" activity that I have experienced in years past outside the entrance alley. This activity has always excited and energized the crowd as they await their turn to enter. As always, this haunt's use of hydraulic mechanics to make things pop out at you, really goes a long way! The actors were committed and by now I know to expect the creepy clowns at the end to really lay it in thick and try to get a chase. GT Morgue changes up the fright recipe just enough each year to keep us in our toes and keep us coming back each year while still keeping some of the main installments in place. The way they contort spaces and use shifting floors is unique in keeping the mind at a constant edge, contributing to those extra surprises around each corner. GT Morgue seems to be upping their game too, by bringing in a small donut truck... we didn't try them but it looked delicious. The only real con is that this location is a bit of a dessert in terms of things to do nearby without having to get into a car... but I saw a sign that there is also a tasting room about 5 min walking distance which could be a game changer in future years. Downtown Georgetown is definitely an option however not close enough to walk. read more

This was a haunted house I have been hearing about for years. Finally made the trip today. Ok so let's talk about the couple down sides before getting on to the really good. First their ticket system and pricing is really overly complicated and frankly expensive. I bought the ticket that said "Sunday ticket" which is a cheaper price apparently only if you bring in cans of food, so we got to the second spot in line, and I had to go back to the ticket booth and pay the difference between the Sunday and general ticket, even though it's Sunday... Second the prices are a little high. A one time vip ticket literally costs as much as HHN at universal studios they could cut it down by 10 bucks and fix the ticket purchase system. Ok with those minor issues aside I will say this, this haunted house is one of the best I have been to in my whole life. Better than 6 outta the 10 at last year's HHN. There were multiple sections with different themes and each made it feel like you were in a whole new house. Also it was a long House, it felt like probably 15-20 min for complete start to finish also the staff was amazing inside and out, I really enjoyed the toxic waste section and the spinning part made me feel like I was literally upside down. I really don't want to say too much and ruin the surprise, but do yourself a favor and give this one a shot. read more

Tried going the first time on Sunday, October 29th. We got there at 7:05 .... just 5 minutes after "opening" time, but the line was already down the street and around the corner. We waited in line for 2 hours and was about halfway to the front. I convinced my daughter and her friends to come back another night. We went again on November 4th, the final night of the 2023 season. This time, we got there about 1 hour 10 minutes before it opened, and there were about 50 people in line before us. They did start moving the line through the photo booth about 20 minutes before the main doors opened, so that was good. The website said it takes ~15 minutes to make it through the haunted house. In reality, it took 5 minutes ... maybe a little more, but definitely less than 10. If you are looking for a jump scare, you need to be the first person in line for your group. Even with that, you usually catch a glimpse of the actors getting back into position from the previous group. The main theatrics were loud music/noises and flashing lights. Overall, i was disappointed, but fortunately, 4 out of the 5 tickets i had i won from a local radio station. I wouldn't pay to go see it again. read more

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews, I went to 3 haunted houses this Halloween season and this one was by far my favorite. Plenty of easy parking across the street and multiple clean porta potties. It was a little more expensive than some of the others, but the quality of the scare was very superior. We went on a weeknight and were in line when they opened and still waited forever, but that was to be expected. I tell my friends that is what makes this a social event as you get so much time to talk while you wait in line, my friend has decided she might start taking dates to these for just this reason. This year was much better than when I had come here many years ago, but the actual differences escape me. I like that they take your picture ahead of time in case you are into that kind of thing, it makes a nice memento for a group event and you have the option to buy prints or digital at the end. There was also a hot dog stand set up near the parking lot since you probably worked up an appetite with all the standing and waiting. The actors going around along the line were entertaining and also helped us pass the time, they were open to photos and conversation. I do scream quite a bit at these things and this one made it hard for me to talk the next day. You do want to make sure you keep an appropriate speed while going thru so you don't get too close to the group in front or behind you. There were many areas where you had to bend down which I had not been expecting, this may be hard for the mobility challenged. There were many cool things and lots of stuff that made me jump. I might try to recruit people to join me for this one again next year. read more

Not Worth It. We waited 5 hours exactly to get in. Came at 6:30 pm on a Saturday and got in at 11:30 pm. The line wrapped all around the building to the next like in some of the recent reviews I saw. When we got near the front, we finally saw the sign that said we can upgrade our regular tickets to VIP. Checked the VIP line, it's about as long as where we were standing in the regular line. Should have put the sign in the very back so people would know. My friends and I said it would be worth it if it was scary. Nope, absolutely terrible. I did not scream once and my friend even checked her watch and saw absolutely no change in her heart rate. There were lots of flashing lights and trippy sound/light effects. Those were cool but the actors were not scary. They don't chase you or scare you really. Mostly standing there creepily and sometimes making fast movements. It's EXTREMELY claustrophobic there and smells terrible. honestly, I wouldn't even say it was 10 minutes for the whole thing, possibly 8 minutes tbh, depending on how fast you go, but I went at a regular pace. This place was absolutely overhyped, even if I got VIP it was still not worth it for the experience. A random corn maze I went to last year was 10x better and way more organized. This place should at least sell tickets for certain days or let people choose a timeslot because a 5 hr wait for an 8-minute experience is absolutely ridiculous. So many people left saying it was not worth it while I was walking to the parking lot. I will NOT ever want to go again. This was 100% a money-grab event and would only be scary for little kids. The line wrapped all the way down hudson street s and then turned right where the street crosses with Colorado ave and then proceeds to go all the way down to where it almost connects with S Dawson st. The event itself only takes 15 minutes... so upgrading the tickets ($75) seemed like the only chance of getting in since they closed at 11:30 and there was noooooo way we were getting in if we stayed in the normal ticket line. The VIP line took almost two hours of standing in line before we got in. The event itself was short, they had cool stuff but nothing I hadn't seen at previous haunted maze/houses I'd been too. The only thing that kept scaring us was these air blower things that randomly would blow air at you. Overall would I say it was worth the money/wait NO. You legit can find the same thing at different haunted maze/houses for cheaper. read more

We calculated the rate and it would have taken 4-5 hours to get to the front (and they would be closed by then) so we left. We came back at opening on Sunday hoping it would be less busy. The line was smaller, but we still waited TWO HOURS. The haunted house itself was ok. Nothing extraordinary. But you are packed in like sardines so you see the people ahead of you react to anything scary. They need to sell time slot tickets to control the number of people in line - but surely they don't care about the guest experience, they just want your money. read more

3 hour wait on a Sunday night but it was worth it! We had a large group so the line was no problem and we split to go into the house. Buying tickets online is the best option and you can even do it from your phone while you wait: they have group options and you can bring cans in for cheaper tickets. The house itself I'd say is a 3/5 on the scary level but it's really the actors that bump it up to a 4, they pop out of nowhere and really make it fun. We were worried they would be tired after 3 hours of scaring but they were great and we had a really fun time. The clown on stilts outside was the best! He chased people around, Makeup was scary and very detailed, all the actors are great but he was a favorite. read more

Ridiculous. Got to the line at 9 pm and the line is wrapped around another building. Last time i waited in a line this long was for Funko Pop in LA but it took us 1 hour to get to the front. For this, one hour in and we didnt even get to the corner of the second building it is wrapped around. To give you a visual of how long it was, it was a straight path east of the morgue and wrapped around the building east of the morgue, wrapping around one corner and the end of the line reaching the second corner of the building south of it. To get to the first corner of the building, it took us 2 hours. We asked a security guard why it was taking so long and they said that there are two lines: VIP and regular. VIP takes priority so they go first and then will let general admission go. Unfortunately, the VIP line was as long as general admission. To get a rough estimate of how long you have to stand and wait with general admission, its basically 30 minutes to walk even 6 steps forward. Tons of people were already giving up and left, going and trying for another day. I get your $32 + $3 fee ticket works for any of the days, but for busy people like us, we only had one day to go. So just a heads up, it doesnt matter if you get general admission or a $72 + $3 fee VIP ticket, it sounds like you will still end up waiting for hours. Another review I saw had someone wait in line at 6:30 pm for general admission and didnt get in until 10:30 pm. One positive is they have a food stand at the parking lot so if youre patient enough to wait that long and eat, you dont have to go far. The parking lot is right across the morgue and has tons of space. Overall, I dont see us coming back here again. Waiting in line for hours just to spend about 10 minutes in the haunted morgue doesnt sound worth it to me. Should have limited VIP tickets to make both lines go easier. read more

This year was the first time I got tickets to go to their haunted house. We had returned 3 times and waited 3hours, 2 hours and then 1.5 hours (went an hour before opening a week past Halloween). It's set up so that you can go at any time or date within the range of a month. It would have been better if they had done time slots to manage the line and wait. I am not joking when I say the lines wrapped around 3 blocks with hundreds of people waiting for an attraction that only lasted 10 minutes. I appreciate the amount of detail and effects put into design and costume but this is seriously a money grab for the holidays. To many vip tickets being sold at a time so people with normal tickets have to wait 4 hours to get in. Not worth the 8-15 minute experience. Came here the beginning of October. I was happy to see they would be open. I have never done it in past years with actors so I can't compare it to that but I thought it was great. I also really liked the limited people allowed in. Often times when you have a group right in front of you it can take the scare away since you see what's coming. Allowing only one group at a time corrected that. I will say that no one paid attention to the time slots, but going through the line only took around 20 minutes. As someone who hasn't been to a haunted house in a couple years this was so fun! Of course you have to wait outside in line but that's par for the course. I really recommend coming on a Thursday night.The line moved pretty quickly and they even had scare actors roaming around interacting with people waiting in line. Theres also a family/friend deal for Thursdays where tickets for 5 people are $23 each. Before the haunt there is an area to get your photo taken that you can purchase digital and physical copies of ($10 for one $15 for both plus access to the digital copy) Now onto the fun stuff. The haunted house was terrifying! There are strobes and fog machines and sparks flying which are very disorienting and you do have to nearly crawl in some places. There are also parts where you will be squished that have moving parts so if you're claustrophobic it may be too intense. People do chase you and the scare actors aren't supposed to touch you but there are plenty of things popping up or hanging from the ceiling and touching you so it is very much a full body experience. I did see some younger kids go through and I would probably only recommend this for older teens at the earliest as it was a pretty intense experience. Lastly one of my friends joining us found the experience too intense and needed to leave partway through. The scare actor who helped us get to an exit was so nice and we really appreciated their help. read more

Extremely disappointing experience, complete waste of money. My 12 year old daughter and her best friend really wanted to go to a haunted house. Her bff lives out of town so we planned a weekend night around this. We got there at 7pm and the line was basically 3 blocks long. We waited for 5 HOURS and decided to finally leave, so I have no idea what the actual haunted house was like. I can't believe we actually waited that long, but I was determined to give these kids a cool experience. It was actually miserable. It was freezing, and there were only a few port o potties down near the main building so everyone was dipping out of line to go across the street and go to the bathroom in between two old boxcars. The girls were so cold and could barely keep their eyes open and finally asked to leave. I felt like crying when we stepped out of the line, I was so frustrated and could really see the defeat on the girls faces. A whole evening wasted, and we didn't even get the experience I'd payed for. And, OF COURSE, there are no refunds. I do see on the website that I can try to go back on a different night and get in, but, after last nights experience I have no energy or desire to go through that again, not to mention my daughters friend was only in town for one night. The line was so slow moving because, apparently, there is a VIP line that has priority over the common folk, if you are willing to spend more. I'd already spent over $100 on our 3 tickets and, to be honest, that seemed steep considering I already knew the haunted house was going to be a 15 - 20 min experience. I am a single parent and this felt like a big splurge, I definitely was not going to pay more than that. Really got the vibe that this was, as another reviewer called it, a "money grab".
