We came back here with our group on Tuesday and had a blast! Not only were the sets as great as I remembered, but they really spent the time taking any weaker rooms from before and elevating them to a much higher level. The decor, lighting, audio, SFX, makeup, and costumes were top notch. The actors were also much more engaging this time around, actively interacting with our group and doing all kinds of different things to get reactions out of us. My cousin was in the front group and told all of the people I was coming so they knew my name and were messing with me. It was fun. Well done. Everything was great except waiting in queue outside in freezing cold weather. I have been to other haunted houses and some of them actually anticipate the queue size and provide some sort of tent covering. This helps with the cold. But full marks to the haunted house. The price here is reasonable. They don't sell online tickets and you have to come here to buy them. The VIP tickets almost don't have any wait time. That is super quick. Drove 2 hours, stood in line for 1 hour and the power cut off. That was fine, wasn't their fault. I had bought 5 tickets and gave that to the ticket person (who was a different person than who i bought them from). All of a sudden there was only 4 tickets when I had counted many times beforehand, making sure there was 5. I lost out on $20. Which might now seem like a lot but for a failed experience, it's only more frustrating. The people in front of us claimed they gave tickets person $220 but the ticket people said they only had $180, so they had to give $40 more dollars. Watch your money closely and make sure you are 100% sure what you are giving them. They argued with the people in front of us and me. Both parties just gave up, as it was no use. read more

My first time at a haunted house and this place had me screaming! Great actors and sets. They don't touch you, but get very up close in front or behind you. If it is raining, only wear shoes you don't mind stepping in saturated muddy grass, dipping pavement, and slippery gravel with!!! -1 star because they require you leave umbrellas by the bouncer at the front of the line, which you can only access by cutting past several confused and angry customers waiting in line. I was really looking forward to going here this year and was hoping I would get a really good scare but unfortunately that wasn't the case here with me. It was good for my 9 year old and 8 year old but my teenagers weren't too scared either. Be ready to stand for a couple hours as the line is ridiculously long on the weekends. We went on a Saturday night got in line at 9pm didn't get to walk through until 12midnight not to mention the rain didn't help much so bundle up! BUT the most horrifying thing they have here....ARE THE PORTABLE BATHROOMS/HONEY BUCKETS I just couldn't see myself using it. I chickened out. Luckily if you come with a group, and need to use the restroom, with how long the lines are you could go down the street to use a public restroom and back and it still hasn't moved. For me, I wouldn't do it again but for my younger children they loved it and couldn't stop talking about it so that's why I gave it a also, some little punks who were drunk tried to cut us in line and as a mom I was not going to let my babies stand in a three hour line in the rain for them to think they can just walk up and cut so I asked them to get in the back of the line and they didn't so I flashed and one of the employees/security's came up and removed them from the line. So that is another reason for the star cause I wasn't going for it. Not today satan! read more

A few weeks ago, I saw on Buzzfeed that Fright Factory was named the scariest haunted house by Yelp's standards in Washington! So, after going to Maris Farms twice in a row, I thought I'd give a new place a try. The parking lot here is very small and they have an attendant telling people where to park. I think that's the only caveat about getting here, so be wary of that. And wear boots because the parking lot is muddy. They have a little snack hut that sells chips & sodas and things like that, but they also have food trucks here!! On the night that we went, they had Galaxy Donuts which sold donuts (obviously looool) and Galaxy Hot Dogs, which had nacho cheese sauce, sauerkraut, onion, and relish (I believe). They were so good! They also had a BBQ food truck as well. The haunted house itself was AWESOME. There were tons of times that truly scared the hell out of me, so that was cool. Outside of being scared a ton, a few times I got to breathe and really pay attention the to detail and work they put into each setting. They really did such an awesome job! I think the only downside to this haunted attraction was that it was a little short for my liking. I think we were only in there like 25/30 mins, whereas Maris is almost double that. If you haven't given this place a try, it's DEFINITELY worth it! read more

If any adults are looking for a complete mind F#$K! then this is the place, this is no ordinary haunted house. I would not recommend this for children. Only teens, and up. Without ruining the experience, this is the scariest thing I have ever walked through. They are not allowed to touch anyone, but there is no need. The characters working in here, are 100% in character, and say some of the trippiest things directly to you, and or about you. The sets are vast, and the scenarios well thought out. This is the best haunted house. I will never understand the people who review by saying, "I drove X amount to get here and had to wait 3 hours on a Saturday." Do people think that they're the only ones with the idea to go to the best haunt in WA on a weekend in October? Nobody cares that you drove from Seattle. The sets are movie quality and the actors obviously live for this season. The owners passion clearly shows with all the thoughtful details. Love that it has both indoor and outdoor scares. By far one of the cheapest haunts in the state, they could easily charge more. I also heard that they donate the majority of their sales. Will never stop recommending this place each year. read more

I am going to caveat this review with I scare incredibly easy. However, this haunted house was terrifying. We got there early so the line was relatively short. Parking was no problem, I love that tickets are affordable, but they allow you to pay extra to skip the line if there is one. The wait in line doesn't really give you a good indication about what you are in for. There are notices posted that recommend anyone with heart conditions, and pregnant women should not go in, and I agree. Without giving much away, once inside you are met with lots of scares at every step of the way. At one point, I saw an emergency exit and was truly tempted because I didn't think I could take much more. Such a fun, horrifying time! Great job, Fright Factory. This haunted house is like no other. The set are incredible and the actors are extremely talented and trained. Please keep in mind this haunt is rated #1 in WA for a reason... LINES CAN GET LONG! Grab a coffee at Southern Charm Espresso on site and enjoy the scenery. Come early and be prepared to have a blast and more importantly get scared!! The sets are one of a kind. Hours and hours are put into each room and it shows. Please note the speed limit on Collins RD is 25MPH, people live on this street and we saw 6 deer cross the road at 11:30 last night! First I must say, the review from Marcie F. was quite comical! I too noticed the sign that says $1 for number one, and $2 for number and my family and friends thought that was hilarious! I myself did not take that sign serious and I have a hard time taking Marcie's review serious either! I priced some other local Haunted houses and the general entry alone for one person is at least $35. And if you want to go in the faster line its $50!!! General admission at the Fright Factory was $12 per person and we brought in canned goods for the local food bank and got $1 off each of my family member! They also advertise a Fast Pass as well and that costs $20 per person. Marcie F. says she hated the wait because she wouldn't pay more. If she could find a better deal at a quality haunted house as such the Fright Factory in Buckley, I would love to hear it to take my family. The rain did come down on our trip, and with the fog rolling in, it just added an eerie ambience which made it even more exciting for all of us standing in line! There is a lot more worst things to complain about in this world than the rain (which you can't control) and a line of people. Now for $12 per person this is a steal! Not to mention you get a $1 off if you bring a canned good! They had crates of food that people brought in and that was so awesome to see! Considering how hard it is to entertain your family on a budget this is a must if you are into Halloween and don't want to break the bank! Each scene at the Fright Factory Haunted House was crazy detailed and you can tell a lot of thought, time and effort was put into each set! The actors were amazing and got into their roles even more when we started bellowing. I'd love to go into more detail on what we experienced there, however, I don't want to spoil anything who did not get a chance to visit yet. On a side note, I had heard about the Fright Factory in Buckley after reading a story in the local newspaper casting it as the number one haunted house in Washington State. First - this is out in the boonies - but google maps will get you there. Take cash. Second - this haunt is UNDERpriced by a LOT. They could be charging double what they charge. THIRD - These are volunteers. Don't arrive late and expect them to stay on shift for you. Be a grateful and appreciative guest. These nice folks work very hard because they love what they do. We drove 3 hours over the pass just to see this haunt - on a Sunday early in October. We were rewarded by a very short line and discount tickets! I didn't expect to see as many actors as you would have on a Friday or Saturday, and that was the case, but there were still plenty of actors to scare the living daylights out of my husband and I and provide a lot of interactive fun. I operated a large haunt for ten years, and I was delighted with the attention to detail in all the scenes and master craftsmanship on display. I know enough to realize that some of the effects and sets are extremely expensive to purchase or build, and I was astounded at what they have created. Most of the actors were well trained and really into their roles. I was having so much fun I might have annoyed a less experienced cast. These guys played along with me like pros. I kept expecting the tour to end around the next bend but it kept going on! People who say the tour is too short must be rushing through the scenes as fast as they can. There were some bottleneck areas where groups can get piled onto one another, but I would find a little spot to stand and let the folks behind me who were in a hurry get past. I got my twelve bucks worth and then some. Haunt pacing and throughput is always an ongoing issue. It's never completely perfect. Experienced actors can do some crowd control inside, but so many folks pay their money and then rush through the haunt as fast as they can. They will end up piled on top of folks like me who take their time to see and appreciate everything. The only way to be perfect every time is to put people in little cars like the Haunted Mansion "Doom buggies", and that wouldn't be as much fun. Go see this haunt - if you only have time or money for one haunt this year, make it this one! read more

I am pretty sad that it takes 2 + hours in line for a haunted house that is just okay. This one used to be super cool about 7 years ago. The fast pass line makes it take twice as long for people who don't want to pay $25 per person. The inside was cool but it wasn't 2 hours in line cool. They only seem to allow 3 people tops at a time so if your party consists of more, you will be split up. Then, once we finally get in side, you catch up to the group in front of your very quickly. Especially at the end where it is a pitch black maze. I should have paid the extra money and did the haunted woods at Maris Farms. At least a 2 hour wait would have allowed 30 minutes of haunted woods instead of the 8 minutes it took us at this haunted house. So disappointed. read more

Last year, I went to a haunted house in Seattle and was sorely disappointed (despite it having a 4 star rating on Yelp). This year, I decided it would be cool to venture out of town and visit a couple back to back. I went to Maris Farms Haunted Woods and then came here, which is only about 5 minutes away. Both houses were fantastic and well worth the drive! I was anticipating that Fright Factory wouldn't be scary since admission was only $12. I was thinking it would be low budget.. But I was so wrong! I'm not one of those people that gets creeped out just by having a monster stare at me while I'm waiting in line. So to say that this place offered several scares for me and unique scenes says a lot. The line was short, however, it did take. bit of waiting before getting inside. I honestly loved this though because they did a great job of spacing it out. This place is incredible! A must visit haunted house and experience!!! The sets are designed with detail and artistry! I was blown away by the design details and intricacies in the sets. Very cool place a must see!! Love the location and simple parking and entrance. Definitely something we will make an annual October tradition out of!! We took 11 year olds and they were jumping left and right and screaming but not something they couldn't handle. They were scared don't be confused. We went on a weekday Wednesday the only time in 2021 they were open on a Wednesday the week going up to Halloween and I personally loved it lol. It was not a 3 hour wait like the weekends but what can you say all the best things in life have a wait that's worth it!! I try to hit two haunted houses when Halloween rolls around each year but this year I only made it to one. The Fright Factory is an inexpensive haunted house compared to others in the area. As of 2013 their rates for one adult is $10.00. Now I have been to ten dollar haunted houses before and the last one I went to was just set up awful. It was not scary at all. In this case for how much you pay you get pretty good thrills and chills. I do not want to give too much away but there are two rooms that are dominated by strobe lights which is fun to meander through. There are also some dark corridors that were so black I lost my group, hooked up with another group, lost them in about three minutes and hooked up with a third group. Fright Factory uses actors and more man power to run their haunted house. Personally I prefer a mix of anamatronics and actors but this haunted house was just fine. Was planning on going to maris farms but when it started raining we decided we didn't want to do something outside. This was just as bad; this place is so much cheaper than everywhere else for a reason. The lines aren't very long but they move slow and you wait outside for almost the whole time. There's plenty of jump scares and random loud noises (alarms, car horns, and bells) but it's more disorienting than scary. The alarms are so loud you can hear them from outside, so it's even more painful when you're inside right next to them. With all the other better haunted houses nearby, I don't think I'll go back. read more

We showed up on opening night, a little later than planned. Turned out this was a good thing because, like Alex W mentioned, they were having some issues with power/lighting. We had a great time though. This is a new location for them and I have to admit, I liked it better before. That said. It was opening night. I think haunted houses get better further into the season. I don't get scared so it was good but could of used more build up. I posted a picture of an old abandoned house they have on property next to the line. If they would of done more with that to build people up before the actual haunted house, and had a pile of cars with fake blood near parking area I think would of made experience better. Maybe have a dog aggressively barking noise from different directions so no one knows where it's coming from and some shadows around to keep people on edge that are in line. They have a great location and could of done more with it to build up the experience would make the haunted house that much better. As for the actual haunted house I think they did pretty good on it (didn't scare me but the dark room did get my husband lol)that's why I gave four stars, would of got 5 from me if outside was done more. read more

Wow!!! Great walk through haunted house. Great price for a 20 minute walk through! Easily rivals if not better than any of the haunted houses we have visited at Universal Studios or Knotts Scary Farm. There are some really detailed sets that make it easy to forget your walking and about to get scared. There are some dark rooms that took a few tries to get out. The only word of warning is there is a minor restriction as you are walking down a ramp a balloon/bladder full of air starts to lightly squeeze on you. Went opening night of 2019. I drove two hours to get to Fright Factory because I was on a haunted house tour with my friends. While by itself, it's not worth to drive two hours, it was the best haunted house on the tour. I work at a haunted house, so I mean it when I say that this is a wonderful haunted house. Whereas many haunted houses put in a lot of effort to the outside of the attraction (to bring in foot traffic), the opposite is true for this one. That is ok though, because for what they lack on the building's exterior, is what they make up for in the frightening experience. A haunted house that is dependent on actors stinks if there is few or bad actors. Fright Factory did not only have many actors, but also has many great actors. The blend between static props, animatronics, and live actors was practically perfect. They must have spent big bucks on their animatronics, because they were top notch. I hope that their return on investment is large because I loved the animatronics and I don't feel that is detracts from the actors' performance. Maybe even more impressive than the actors or animatronics were the scenes. At times the scenery was so well done that I forgot to be scared. I was in awe at some of the set pieces, such as the pirate ship. Don't get me wrong, it was still quite scary, but I couldn't help but feel that I was in the Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland. You never would've expected this if you just saw the outside of the building, which looks like an old warehouse. I would like to see more line entertainment such as photo ops and actors in the coming seasons, as it will probably help your social media presence and the overall experience of guests. Obviously not worth driving two hours to see, however if you really like haunted houses, it would behoove you to drive up to an hour to experience this fantastic attraction. read more

We didn't get in to the actual haunted house until about 11pm and we arrived at about 8:45pm, but you do have the option of buying a fast pass for an extra $10. Dress warmly! read more

Lots of fun! There was a good variety of sets and props and some good scares. We ended up getting the VIP pass and waited in line for around an hour. It was totally worth it, it wasn't he scariest haunt I've ever been to but you could tell the actors really cared about their job and I appreciate that! My only complaint was that after the first half, the groups got really bunched up so it wasn't as scary because you could see everything coming. That being said they still scared me a couple times even when the groups were bunched up so I can't be too mad. I would definitely recommend and we will be back next year! read more

I went with 2 other friends, one of which had already been to many other haunted houses and said this was the best one she had been to hands down. Absolute BS we got there at 920 because the website says open till 11 when we got there no one said anything to us about closing soon...we decided to get some food at the little stand which was absolutely disgusting and ridiculously overpriced then we go to go in...well guess what?! it was 9:35 and they stopped letting people in at 9:30!!! Are u kidding me?! 5 minutes?! What kinds of douchebags turn people away on a holiday for 5 minutes especially after driving 45 minutes to get there in the first place??!
