Went here to get an ache in my tooth checked out and Dr. Peretz took great care of me. He was very knowledgeable and listened to all of my concerns. The office staff was also very attentive and polite.

Everything was great from receptionist to the dentist and to the assitant, everyone was pleasant and nice. I love going to this dental office .

I went to Georgetown Smile yesterday for a complimentary invisalign consultation, and I had a phenomenal experience. I'm not sure if the office is metro accessible or not, but if you drive, it's perfect. Finding parking isn't a hassle. There are two spots reserved especially for Georgetown Smile patients in the underground garage, and there are also several parking spaces available behind the building. The office is very clean and bright. Nice music was playing in the background and they somehow managed to play music and leave the television volume up without it being overwhelming...grand. The coffee table in the waiting area had several current magazines on the table. It seems like a very minor detail, but it meant a lot to me because there is nothing worse than having to sit in a waiting area that has old tattered magazines. I didn't get a chance to admire the waiting area for long, because the office staff was so efficient. As soon as I entered the office, I was greeted by one of the young ladies at the front desk. She asked me for ID/insurance information etc. and gave me forms to fill out. As soon as I finished filling out the forms, the dental assistant came to get me. I promise...there was no wait. She asked me if I had any trouble finding the office and asked me how my day was going before offering me water and A PILLOW! Lol Next, the very friendly dentist came to do the consultation. He started by asking me how my day was and if I had any trouble finding the office....I'm not really big on small talk so that was kind of annoying because having to answer those same questions the dental assistant just asked me was painful. They should coordinate that part a little better. Anyway, the consultation was very brief yet informative. Once it was over, the dentist kept smiling and suggested I come back when it's time for my annual cleaning. He then escorted me to the front desk where the receptionist reviewed invisalign payment options with me. I haven't had any actual dental work here, but based on the exceptional customer service alone, I highly recommend their services.

So its been awhile since I've seen a dentist. My previous dentist didn't listen, did not use enough anesthetic, and also hit me with a number of charges that I didn't make sense, and I couldn't afford. I came here on a personal recommendation. Getting an appt was easy enough. The office was initially hard to find from the street, but there is a directory I didn't see on my way in that I DID see on my way out (so my fault). The office itself was nice, warm and inviting. I like this: there's a lot to fear from a dentist's office - I know of far too many horror stories, so to have a nice soothing atmosphere was great. The chairs I sat in were comfortable and were quite articulate. Bending in just the right places. The nurse (who's name I'm sure is Shirley, but I could have misheard) offered me a neck pillow! A neck pillow! Getting x-rays were quick and easy. I'm used to getting into a room, standing in one spot as a machine goes around and around. Nope! I'm still in the chair, biting down on a plate as the machine comes to me. (let's not forget that Shirley placed an x-ray apron[?]) Dr. Peretz was quite kind and courteous. He wanted to know exactly what to do and had some mouth x rays taken. He understood my situation, and he wanted to work out a plan. I got a genuine impression that Dr. Peretz cared. I plan on making a next appointment very soon, and I know what the cost will be ahead of time. If my last dentist was more like this, I'd have had a regular dentist far sooner.

I can SEE my car from the examination room. And the parking was free.

I had braces for so long that I can fall asleep while someone scrapes at my teeth but I can still tell that the dental hygienist here was gentler than most. She didn't poke at my gums or make it feel punitive because I hadn't flossed enough. Can one ever floss enough for a dentist? Unlikely. They took the inevitable x rays which new dentists always do, but I anticipated that and my insurance covers it. I worry about my head getting that much radiation and have never had a cavity. I have a constantly dry mouth due to a prescription medication and have become concerned as a result of recently learning that meth mouth is caused by lack of salivation. I mentioned this and was provided with a sample of a product designed to make me....drool? Ok that works The ladies at the front desk were super nice and didn't roll their eyes at all when if thought I had a different insurance than I in fact do (I would have).

At the last check up, she refused to open her mouth, was scared of anything going in or near her mouth (even a toothbrush!), and was especially afraid of the potential of getting an xray done. At the last practice we went to, they were insisting we should try to get an xray done, but they used the xray card that adults use, so my daughter was very uncomfortable, scared, and she kept gagging. They tried several times, but in the end we didn't get the xray, and instead we left with intense dental fear instilled. We were referred to Dr. Keaney by a friend, who raved about how gentle and kid-friendly the practice was. Upon arriving, we were greeted by friendly staff and they made us feel really welcome and comfortable. The white board at the front desk even had a welcome sign that included our daughter's name! All the rooms were pleasantly decorated and themed. Shortly after we went in, we saw Dr. Keaney, and she was exactly as described: patient, kind, excellent with children. She and the other staff (Jessica) actually took time to read our forms and talk with us about our past experience, and took special care to cater to our specific situation. During the checkup, Dr. Keaney carefully explained/demonstrated each step she was going to do, and was really able to put my daughter at ease. In the end, she was awarded with a balloon and goodie bag, so we definitely left on a happy note. They also had My Little Pony on the ceiling tv playing, which was another extra bonus. I really appreciated how we were asked if it was OK to keep the TV on during the checkup, which I thought was so respectful and thoughtful to me, as a parent. We live over 30 minutes away, and there are many closer pediatric dentists in our area, but we are more than happy to make that extra drive to this practice now. We are looking forward to the day my daughter gets excited to see the dentist, and I really believe Dr. Keaney will get us there. Thank you to Dr. Keaney and all the wonderful staff!

It's really rare to experience an office where all staff members are kind, helpful, and friendly, but that is this office. From the admin person to the front desk staff to the hygienists to the dentist herself, this is an office that truly cares for the kids and their families. All the staff are all positive and supportive. The office is very clean and conducive to kids, with tvs in the ceiling, toys in the waiting room, and kids decor throughout. There is a dry erase board where each kids name is written to welcome them, a very nice touch. Each kid gets a goody bag at the end and a token which can be used on the toy vending machines in the lobby. This is a HUGE hit with the kids! They usually get little jewelry trinkets or toys that they get excited about. One time the staff gave them balloons which was sweet. The dentist herself is very kind and gentle and thorough with the kids. She'll take time to answer questions and explain things. The same go for all the hygienists here. As of 2025 they will no longer take the military insurance. There's parking and she offers early morning appointments (7am). The appointments were ok, there's not much to say when you just get a cleaning and there's no dental issues. The hygienist goes pretty hard and even chipped the top of one of my front teeth. She told me I could have an orthodontist smooth it out. They charge an additional $50 out of pocket for fluoride. I sent my previous scans multiple times and they said they didn't receive them. When she did see my scan, I was referred to someone to get a second opinion on something she saw. Almost $500 later I find out it's just my sinus cavity. I know, better safe than sorry and can't fault her for doing her job. My final straw was getting charged a late cancellation fee. They require 48 hours notice which can be really hard if you're not sick 48 hours in advance and the day before your appointment is a weekend or holiday as was my case. I called the morning of and left a voicemail that I was sick; instead I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with strep throat and an ear infection. They did not receive this voicemail in time because the receptionist was also out sick. I was charged the fee 6 weeks later and when I called to see if they make medical exceptions I was told absolutely not because they have already written off too much from *all of us* because our insurance doesn't pay well. As a professional I can understand some of this, I know it's frustrating when people late cancel/no show or an insurance doesn't pay well. However, I always make exceptions for medical and other things that are truly out of their control. They are right to stop taking our insurance, it's not good when you start to resent your customers. Take away: -No matter how sick you are, if you want to avoid a fee, go to the appointment -Go if you know your dental insurance pays well or you plan to pay out of pocket -Insurance companies are the worst and need to raise their rates across the board
