Dr. Salim has always been kind and courteous from day one he takes his time to know his patients by name, and their individual needs, he gets right to the root of the problem and resolves it, not to mention he takes his time to give you valuable information on the care of your teeth. (Not something other practices) Dr. Salim has been in dentistry for many many years I'd consider him a Veteran one you would definitely want on your team. I cannot recommend this dentist. While Dr. Jaber is a very nice person, I did not have a good experience. I went in as a new patient for a cleaning and returned to have three cavities filled. In the process of the filling, Dr. Jaber poked me in the eye with a mirror, sprayed me with water, and left a small cut on my lip. The fillings themselves were very quickly and sloppily done, which left my bite unaligned and my teeth in pain, as well as some residue on the surface of my teeth. I returned a couple of weeks later after the pain in my teeth made it difficult to chew and floss to get the filling adjusted, but found that it did not alleviate the problem. Rather than go back, I am opting to seek out a new dentist, although I will have to pay out of pocket for some of the services. Dr. Jaber was nice, but the experiences I had there felt quite rushed and sloppy. I've had fillings before, but never had an experience where I went in without tooth pain and left feeling in worse shape than I started. read more

She spent sincere time explaining the details of her practice, from the examination of my x-rays to the tools she was using and why she was using them. This is the best dental office in DC. Has a family feel to it. The customer service by the receptionists is first class. The team of dentists and dental hygienists work are very warm and friendly. I went in for teeth extractions and contrary to what I have heard, I came out with a very positive experience. The dentist checked on me very regularly to make sure I was doing okay. Dr. Oluleye and his assistant are very helpful and professional. I appreciate their conservative approach to dentistry. I was new to the area and had seen a dentist that recommended pretty extensive work that I was fairly surprised by. I saw Dr. Oluleye for a second opinion - he assured me that none of it was actually needed, and that we would "watch and wait". When I eventually needed two small fillings, Dr. Oluleye was so efficient and careful during the procedure that I didn't need anesthesia. Dr. Jaber is incredibly friendly, warming, and professional. I've been going to her for close to two years and I'm so happy I have found her. When I tried to schedule an appointment, I was immediately asked what insurance I have (understandably so). However after indicating the type of insurance, the receptionist immediately became very abrupt and unpleasant. I tried to explain the nature of my dental needs, at which time she became even more abrasive. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to and was told I could call back in 3 days. Hopefully this is not an indication of the quality of the dental work. Nevertheless after such a horrible experience, I will not use their services. read more

Made an appointment which somehow the office dropped. I accidentally found out when i called to ask for COVID related rules i needed to know before going in. Spoke with 2 different individuals involved with making appointments - neither took ownership of the error, provided any alternatives and were in general completely un-cooperating or apologetic in any way for their error. She's very gentle with the cleanings as I have some sensitive areas around the gumline, but she makes it as painless as I've ever had. I went to Dr. Jreissaty for the first time today and had a great experience! Despite a couple doctors being out because of a massive traffic issue downtown, they saw me on time and were kind and helpful. Dr. Jreissaty recommended a night mouth guard for me but said I should wait until my 2016 insurance kicked in and then consider the cost. Very honest and ethical. This place is sufficient for basic cleanings and care, but not for more complicated procedures. They botched my crowns and did a terrible job submitting the insurance claims. I got a crown from them, only to need it replaced just two years later. (By comparison, insurance companies expect crowns to last 5-7 years!) During the crown replacement, the dentist sealed the temporary crown wrong, causing more of my tooth to break off and requiring additional visits. To make it worse, they submitted my replacement crown claim wrong, causing me to spend $1,000 out of pocket. I do not recommend this dentist. read more

Dr. Tareq Salameh is a great dentist . He is the best dentist I have ever met in my life . My dad is a proffesor in medical sciences. Trust me he is the best . You won't feel no pain . I will never replace him as my dentist . Try him you won't regret. He has really good heart . He listens what patient wants . He knows exact amount of pain killers like anesthesiologist. That's very important when you have a dentist:) He extracted my tooth I haven't felt anything. The guy is very polite and he does his best . Six months ago I went to Dr. Jaber and had a fantastic experience. She was very quick and thorough. When I got my six month card to come back in for a check-up, I decided I would go back. I knew Dr. Jaber just left maternity leave so I decided to see someone else at the center. Unfortunately, I got Salim Jreissaty. He lectured me about flossing for about 15 minutes which is extremely excessive. More importantly, he was doing work in my mouth without my permission. I went in solely for a cleaning, which my insurance covers, and walked out a couple of hundred dollars lighter. The worst of the morning came from the dental assistant. I chose to not have jaw surgery a few years ago and he made comments saying that I should reconsider that decision for cosmetic, personal appearance reasons. It was absolutely unprofessional, uncalled for, and disgusting. After I calmed down after the appointment, I called and talked to the dentist and told him how I felt - to get his side of everything. He said the office manager should have come to me with the costs of things and apologized for the assistant profusely. He said he gave him a warning and next time he would be fired. What was done was done though. Don't place blame on the office manager, and the assistant, well I just don't have any words for him. Of course, I will never step foot in that office again, even though Dr. Jaber was a great dentist -- so basically, beware. The kicker of the entire morning, I didn't even get flossed! read more

If I could give negative stars for disrespect I would. After I showed up more than on time for my appointment and three other people showed up after me and went in right away for their appointments I knew this wasn't the place for me. Granted, I was a new patient and the dentist came out and said he had to do a root canal and asked if I would mind waiting. I asked how long, he said 20 minutes, I said no problem. I waited patiently and ended up there for over an hour waiting and waiting while others kept coming in. First, I didn't understand why I couldn't be seen by someone else when there were two dentists or hygienists just standing around. Second, I knew I had to leave after the man who had just had the root canal was treated so rudely by the receptionists and the dentist. He did not understand English very well and was trying to figure out what he had to do next...they proceeded to yell at him, laugh at him, and tell him he couldn't come back. After this, I had had it...I got up and politely asked for my file and the dentist proceeded to yell at me and say "YOU COME NOW!" Right after he finished yelling at the other guy of course...I shook his hand and said 'nice to meet you did you know I'm a new patient?' He yelled again, I said 'are you yelling at me?...I am going to go now, may I please have my file?' Yelled at me again...I said, I won't stay and be disrespected, thank you for your time and I left. I couldn't believe how rude and disrespectful they were. I am certainly not going to sit down and let you root around in my mouth after you yell at me and treat me like a second class citizen. It's called TRUST for all you doctors and dentists out there who rely upon patients and NEW patients to keep your businesses going. If someone doesn't feel they can trust you, why should they stay? My husband and I are new to DC, and decided to try Eye Street Dental for our routine cleanings. We both had great experiences! The reception staff was friendly and professional, and the dentist Dr. Jreissaty was extremely personable and helpful. He went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and make sound and affordable recommendations. We were on time for our appointments, taken back immediately, and completely done with x-rays, cleanings and follow-ups within the hour. Furthermore, I went in a week later to ask if Dr. Jreissaty could take a look at my retainer, and he gladly took the 5 minutes necessary to check the fit. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I saw Dr. Tareq Salameh who scammed me. I had the worst experience I have ever had in my life. And now I am working with another dentist to repair the damage he has done to my teeth. I saw him for a cleaning.. I simple cleaning. Without discussing with me his plan, he starts preparing to fill in cavities. I am a working professional and regularly see my dentist, but having just moved to DC, I searched for a new dentist in the area. Dr. Tareq not only starts preparing to fill my "cavities" but tells me it must be done now and does not give me any other option. He proceeds to fill in six apparent cavities. Shortly after beginning, he is told his next appointment has been waiting long. He starts rushing through the procedure which he clearly didn't have time to do. He then decides to fill four of the teeth and asks me to return the next day for the rest of the teeth and for my cleaning. I was extremely upset. I asked him to at least finish the work that he had begun, but it was clear that he rushed through it all. I left his office that day feeling violated and in pain. Shortly after leaving, an entire filling fell out. I called his office and was told I'd have to wait until the end of the week for his next available time. The next morning when flossing, another chunk from a different tooth came out. I was mortified. I called the office again an asked to come in with any available provider, only to be told that was not an option. After my experience, I decided to switch to another dentist, I found out Dr. Tareq billed my insurance for two separate appointments, seven fills, panoramic x-rays, 25 bite wing x-rays, flouride and a cleaning... He is clearly taking advantage of his patients and it's dissapointing. The new dentist I am working with said I didn't even need those teeth filled (I took my x-rays to him). DO NOT GO THERE. Nobody should support this office and their clear negligence. After receiving my records, I found out they billed my insurance for over $3000 worth of work.. I tried to go to this dentist for just a normal 6 month cleaning/check up. I called to set up my appointment as a new patient and they told me they accepted my insurance. I gave them my insurance information and explained to them I did not have a physical card for them to copy as it was with my parents in another state, the woman on the phone explained to me that as long as I gave the ID information everything would be verified and I could see a dentist. When I gave my ID number she informed me she did not think it was accurate and that I should recheck. I appreciated that very much; however, she stated that if it did not go through that they would call me back to let me know. I believed her, after all, another dentist office called to inform me that my insurance was actually not covered by them and they apologized for the inconvenience and explained ways for me to pay out of pocket. I was grateful the other dentist called me and informed me that I was not covered so I cancelled my appointment. This dentist office; however, lacked that decency. I called and verified my ID with my insurance company, HR of my dad's company, and my previous dentist. All confirmed it was accurate. I did not hear back from the dentist so I assumed all was good. I even got a confirmation phone call assuring that I would be at the appointment the following morning without a mention of the insurance not being processed. So that day I took the metro in to the dentist (which took me 45 minutes each way by the way). It was not until I arrived for my appointment that they informed me the insurance had not gone through. I, as previously stated, did not have my insurance card with me so had no proof so I cancelled my appointment then. When I got home I called and spoke with the manager. She was extraordinarily rude. I understand that my tone of voice was not exactly welcoming and loving; however, I never rose my voice and tried explaining what I was angry about but the manager kept interrupting me and talking over me. She kept saying it was MY fault for not bringing my insurance card. I tried explaining to her that I was not angry about my insurance not going through, I was upset there was no courtesy phone call to inform me my insurance had not gone through. She was never quiet long enough to hear that I was upset I was not informed. THE MANAGER ACTUALLY HUNG UP ON ME! I then called my insurance to once again verify my information, all correct. So of course I then became concerned that they would charge me for services that did not happen. I had to file a claim that no services by this dentist were completed and the whole thing was just a headache. I would not trust this dentist if I were you. Moreover, the facility was run-down and archaic and I am much happier with where I have decided to go now for my dentist. I was able to schedule an appointment and they were able to confirm my benefits that day--with the exact same number I gave this dentist office. I do not know how this business has good ratings. Avoid at all cost. read more
